Almost 2023 and just discovered how amazing is the Metro saga, especially The Two Colonels... What an incredibile dlc, and this ost...no words

The Two Colonels had everything Sam's Story lacked: feels. As good as the gameplay and premise was in Sam's Story, Khlebnikov's story and tragic fate was truly a Metro experience.

it was the only part of Exodus that felt like a Metro game for me. i couldn't even force myself to sit through open world survival shooter with crafting mechanics No. #4566

@@mastermonkeyman34, I somewhat agree. But Exodus is still amazing, nevertheless.

@@mastermonkeyman34 Yeah, I did enjoy Exodus on the whole, but this DLC showcases everything that truly makes Metro special. A game that is capable of such incredible story telling doesn't really need an open world to fill your time.

@@mastermonkeyman34 For me the enviroment and the soundtrack of the whole game and dlc's were the priority. And id have to say that the devs nailed both perfectly. Without good enviroment a soundtrack is nothing and without a good soundtrack the game is nothing.

Same, it was the only thing that got me close to crying for years. The game ending and that made me sad for a couple days

The thing that gets me the most is during that New Year's section.
    That location.
You explore that during the Dead City in the main story.
You don't even think about what happened there as you explore it as Artyom. You have a couple questions about it, but those questions, they weren't answered.
But as Khlebnikov, that's when you realize just how drastic the events that took place there were.
From the green stuff shortages, to the riots, it really changed everything about that area.
Those riots, man. I think that was my favorite part of the whole DLC.
Like the Two Colonels, it was short, but extremely well done.
Props, 4A. You did good here.

Metro is one of the few games I have played that actually made me care about the story, maybe because it felt real but at the same time a slight sense of fantasy, you don't feel like a god laying waste to all in your path but rather someone clinging to survival, the only reason you survive Is because of knowledge and the will to live, there's no real overarching villain either which I like. It's just nice to have a break from all the hardcore "avenge your family" or "destroy a large evil organisation" type stories, and the banter on the train between everyone without much drama just truely gives the feel you've known everyone for years and have grown a brotherly bond, which is why I feel sad I will never experience it again

I wish you could feel the same as Russians, Ukrainians and other people from CIS. For us, this game is like… home. All these characters, all their archetypes: they are extremely natural and close to us. Damn, Volga location even looks like recreation of my grandmother’s home town back in 2015 or so, when she was alive. That is what I like about Metro games: locations feel too real.

Kirril was telling his father's story to Miller. Miller talking to Khlebnikov made me tear up. Not that many fictional series made me tear up like the metro series. Truely art at its finest.

Such a good dlc. Just long enough with a brilliant story and a really sad ending. The ending really hit hard, and this song in the credits really added to it. 10/10

even if it took me 3 hours to complete this DLC, it made me feel quite a few emotions
started out burning indescribable, greyish-green goop for no apparent reason, and partying for new years, all the way up to killing my own station's people to avoid my own demise
then it went to me in a wreck of what could have once been called home and destroying its own inhabitants there, fighting through it only to find some map to save a population that was long since deceased
then it came to seeing colonel miller coming to save his daughter and friends, meeting my corpse and saluting from one faithful colonel to another

I loved the writting, the gameplay of Sam Story was more engaging but yet it's lacked feels, but this one, The Two Colonels truly broke something in me, especially after the end of the main storyline with Melnik Death.

you know what i hate the most about this dlc?
it should’ve been like the size of Sam’s dlc and controlling Klebnikov exploring!!
give Klebnikov his own spin off open world game now!
