This just shows how quickly the conditions can change and it frightens me to death. I wouldn't have the trust in my gear to risk pitching exposed like this so I stick to the sheltered areas as much as I can. Until I can upgrade my tent of course. Imagine this at 2am 😂 my tent would be left there until the following day. We'll done making it through the night, great video showing how things don't always go as planned.

My all time favourite place in the lakes. Looking down the buttermere valley from that circular.
Another good walk just down the back of there is:
Wasdale Head - Black Sail Pass - Looking Stead - High Level Traverse - Pillar - Wasdale Head.
Going up the back of Pillar from the high level route and over the Shamrock traverse is mind blowing... It certainly gets the blood pumping mate.
Look up Shamrock Traverse.. It'd be right up your street for an adventure.

Beautiful surroundings, a totally new area of the UK to me.
    Heard of Wainwright though.
With that wind, a true adventure, when holding on to poles/adrenaline comes into play.
Like you mentioned, not the ideal tent for such conditions but still, great performance.
With such gusts I'd even be looking for stones to secure pegs for my Soulo (without double staking/et cetera).
The spam is making this really edgy though.
Then again, most blokes, outdoor or not, have an assortment of sauces to change any dinner into a winner.
