    Dear TTArtisan Team, no one expect for Fuji is making an 18mm APSC lens and their f2 model is very old. Please develop a small 18mm f1.7-f2ish APSC lens. The market is already flooded with the same old 16, 23, 35 and 56mm lenses from so many companies. 16mm APSC/24mm FF lens is also too wide for most everyday photography. 18/28mm is great for indoors.
    Thank you!

      E-x-actly my thoughts! Cheap, plasticky hood is much cheaper to produce - than the cool metal based square hood before.

      Would the old metal Square hood from the 35mm MK I fit on this new lens 35mm MK II ?

    The bokeh-balls in shots at 0:19 and 0:33 looks so swirly and dreamy!
    Shame the lens hood is not square, but I'm glad this is also metal like the 56mm f1.8.

    TTArtisan - where is the 23/1.8 AF prime for X-mount into *exact* this lens design, with decent optics, into the same size ? 🙂

    • @lionheart4424
      @lionheart4424 Месяц назад +2

      That would be dope. Although I hope we get a mkii of the 27mm f/2.8 with metal construction (and hopefully keeping the aperture ring).

    If you are making an APS-C AF 35mm lens again, why not make it f/1.4?

    • @ofthenearfuture
      @ofthenearfuture 2 месяца назад +2

      It feels like this was a response to Viltrox's new 35 1.7 to stay competitive, as this lens more closely resembles it in specs compared to the Mk1 version. And a 1.4 lens is in a different category, will be much larger and more expensive, so not part of this lens series. I would love to see TTA release some faster 1.4 glass though.

    Hey TTArtisan since your lenses are designed to have future firmware updates, when are we getting a new firmware updates that improves focus breathing and lens flaring on the 35mm f1.8 mark 1 ?..

      you can't upgrade optic by updating firmware.

    I'm looking for a lightweight 11mm or 12mm f/1.8 on X mount...wide enough for vlogging and to work with DIS / Digital Image Stabilization

    Is it the same image quality or has the lens been changed?

    • @ofthenearfuture
      @ofthenearfuture 2 месяца назад +2

      It's a different optical design so it won't be identical, but sample images look very similar, though comparing MTF's it looks like the Mk1 is a bit better in the midframe/corners

      @@ofthenearfuture multicoatings of Mk. II are better, but based on MTF curves, yes Mk. I is a bit better that way - and does have an all metal square hood, jep. (own my copy since nov. 2023)
