Hi Rodrigo 🎶. Thanks for sharing about what you used to do as a kid 🎼. I never listened to the the radio at all as a child. I actually used to listen to music on cassette tapes when I was a kid...saying that makes me feel old since kids these days don't even know what a cassette tape is 😆.

Oh, teacher! The reason why I used to listen to that kind of radio station is that I was born in 1960. I’m sure you didn’t listen to short wave stations either. I used to listen to them to try to translate what the announcers said and also to get familiar to h the English pronunciation.
@ familiar with something and to someone, which means your sentence is not correct.Bty,where do you live or what county do you live? because I also used to listen to AM and Short wave radio of VOA ,voice of America, where it is very well known for someone who needs to practicing listening skills.I am in Thailand.

@@phumkiatwananuraksakul7815 thanks for reading and commenting about my mistake. What I meant by the term “familiar” is that I wanted my brain to get used to the English phonetic.
Hi Jen, congratulation for this brilliant lesson, with expressions that are used very often. I think it is normal that many of us used to do many things in our past life that we don´t do any longer. I come across in my imagination at this moment, with how many times I used to hike over the mountains trying to climb to the highest point, that I don´t use to do it anymore😏. Wishing you a joyful weekend.
Hi Santiago ☺️. I can tell through your comments and your RUclips videos that you like adventure 🤩. I think it's really cool that you used to hike up mountains🤩. My hygienist also loves mountain climbing and has hiked up Mt. Everest several times 🏔! Anyways, even though you no longer climb, I am glad my question of the day helped you to think back to happy memories hiking 🤗. Thanks for your nice comment and for sharing about your experiences ✨. Have an amazing weekend 🌞.
Hi miss excellent lesson. I used to do so many things when I was younger which are difficult for me to call back now. but one thing I would do a lot was every afternoon I used to go to riverbank, a walking distance from my house, to fish and to read a novel until dusk. the scene of sunset used to appeal me I am busy with my work so I hardly get any time to do it anymore though I have got used to carrying on with out it but nostalgia keep prodding me to do it again sometimes in future and relive those past moments. thanks
Hello Hadi 🌸. Wow 🤩 Your past routine sounds so idyllic and seems like a wonderful way to relax 🤗. Sorry to hear that things are too busy for you to enjoy such a great experience now. Hopefully you will get the chance to do it again ✨.
Hey Jen, great class as always, way to go! When I was a young student I used to go to school by foot, I used to eat hot dogs every lunch and I didn't use to use cellphone because they were so expensive in my country at that time. Now I'm totally used to using cellphones, I can't live without them, I don't know whether I'd be able to get used to living without cellphones
Hey Rafael ☺️. It is good to hear from you. Thanks for your nice comment and for your interesting answer to question of the day. I am glad to hear that you used to go to school by foot, because I think you'd need to exercise after eating hot dogs every day 🌭 😆. I also think it'd be impossible to get used to living without a cellphone 😅. Thanks for sharing your excellent sentences using used to, use to, and be used to 🤩.
@@JeNsJyugyou hhaha you're absolutely right it was too many hot dogs to walk them off, I had to walk a lot to manage that. Thank you for producing way good classes, I really love them.

Hello Ikuo ☀️! Happy New Year 🥳. Long time, no see😉. I hope that everything is going well with you. I've missed reading your comments, so I am very glad to hear from you 🌸. Thanks for your kind words🤗. Our show was originally supposed to be performed in the early fall, then it was moved to this Feb due to Covid. But now due to new government restrictions and the spread of Omicron, we won't be able to 'tread the boards' until April 🎭. I appreciate your well wishes for our performance and hope that 2022 will be a happy and healthy year for you and your family 💐.
Hi Abrasou 😎. Thanks for sharing your great sentences using used to 🤗. Your first two sentences are perfect (other than slight spelling mistakes), however you last sentence doesn't follow the correct formula: ➡️ Subject + Be + Used to + Verb+ing + Object.⬅️ So your last sentence should be: "Now I am used to watching your videos every day." 👍🏻 Thanks, and I hope that helps ☺️.
Hello Give'er ☺️. If you say you used to have a friend, it means that you don't have any friends now... which I hope isn't true, but it does match the second part of your comment. Either way, I hope you will be able to make a good friend soon 💐. By the way, after 'wanna' you can't use 'to' because wanna = want to 😉. After 'wanna' you need to use a base verb. So you could say, "I wanna have close friends."✨ I hope that helps 🌸.
First of all, thanks for your effort to make a very good vdo that I never used to find any video like this before, and I still no longer see anything like this too until now. However,I am not used to having to see other RUclipsrs that get used to still having more subscriber than you a lot.please comment on my writing by talking about your vdo and subscriber.
Hello Phumkiat 😁. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I do my best to respond to comments, but I often become really busy with work, theatre, and actually making videos that sometimes I'm not able to answer everyone in a timely manner 😅. I really appreciate your kind words and am so happy to hear that you enjoyed this English lesson about used to ☺️. Your various usages of 'used to' and. 'not used to' were good 👍🏻. In terms of my subscribers, I am truly grateful for each and every single person who takes the time to study English with me. I feel very blessed to be able to help people around the world improve their English skills🤗. Of course I'd love to have more subscribers so I can help even more people, but I am very excited to have almost 25K now 🤩. I know there are many RUclipsrs with more subscribers than me, but as a wise man once said, "Comparison is the thief of joy". ✨
Mam could you please explain , it is to be done what does mean by it mam. Mam please make me understand this one I've noticed lots of time no one ready to teach me like that more examples are
Hi Ansari 🌸. It seems the sentence you're asking about is an example of the passive voice in English. If your boss wants something done they could say, "'You must do this work." However, in the passive voice that sentence would become, "This work must be done." In the passive voice 'who' does the action is omitted either because the speaker doesn't know, doesn't care, or is trying to be polite. The passive voice helps to emphasize the action rather than the doer of the action. Another example of the passive voice would be, "The report was written on Friday." In that sentence 'who' wrote the report isn't specified because the speaker doesn't feel that it's important, or they don't know who wrote it. To learn more about the passive voice, please check out a lesson I've made about it: ruclips.net/video/Ku_DaWQ7ExU/видео.html
