Ty had 2 spirit animals fulfilling different aspects of his existence. Ghost was HIS spirit animal representing his relationship with Amy. Ghost would not let Amy near until Amy fully accepted Ty back into her life, then Ghost accepted Amy. Horses in general are Amy's spirit animal, but Ghost existed as a part of Ty. The wolf represented uncertainty and difficulty, and the power to overcome and live on a new plane (pardon the pun) after the event. The last wolf encounter sent Tynto a truly different plane. So Ty had 2 spirit animals throughout his time at Heartland. Lou's spirit animal was the goose, loud and brash and unwilling to let others, humans, have control. Jack's spirit animal is the cow/steer and he find his best life when involved with them.

Yes, spirit animals because we ourselves are spirit beings. We are a spirit that lives in a temporary body. Animals have a shorter life than humans. Those’d thing of the spirit attracted spirit just be aware there are evil spirits. Heartland opens up what we are drawn into, it’s evident that we are fans.
