Hey Agustin, thanks for the kind words! You can use this for lyrics with chords as well! It’s basically just a fancy PDF reader so you can put whatever you use into it. 👌🏼
Thank you, Randy! Great summary. And it is really easy to send Midi commands from FS to a Midi device (like my MODX7+). I use it for program/patch changes.
I send midi to my Roland BK7M accompaniment module. Under Program Change there are four boxes. I load 13 into the first box, 122 into the second box, these are defined by Roland. Then box three and four are the number of the program I want activated in my module. So when I hit the foot pedal, the sheet music changes, and the midi module jumps to that song's accompaniment. It makes it so I can play one song after another without stopping. Very cool.

The turtle and the rabbit control how fast you’re able to drag/enlarge the sheet around in the crop tool. The turtle is slow, and the rabbit is fast! I love this feature.

I’m considering trying forscore. Since a lot of sheet music is larger than an ipad screen can the scores be enlarged for greater readability? It would be hard to play from if the music is much tinyer and at a distance. I’m an organist and the music racks are always quite high up above the keyboards and at a distance.
HI Randy! Nice work! Have you discovered a way to move the turner to a different spot on the page? Doing studies, etc the tuner covers the top right corner of the page. Piascore moves the tuner with a finger swipe.
I use forScore to control my BeatBuddy by midi commands. I initially used the midi commands screen but prefer to use buttons to control, tempo, select sng file, start Intro, Outro, it can also send midi commands to synths I’m using i.e. configured in AUM. I created preset used to select the BB Sng file, outro slow down, tempo decrease. You didn’t mention use of book marks and creating index template spreadsheet, CSV files.
Hmmm that’s an interesting one. I don’t think there’s a nice way to do that in ForScore. I know you CAN, but it involves copy the whole thing and deleting all the additional pages. It would take way too much work. That said, you could use the indexing function. I’d look it up before trying but it will add bookmarks to each new page.
Starting at 1:42, you talk about using libraries to simplify creating set lists, which is exactly what I am currently trying to figure out. Your visual at that point is so tiny and goes by so quickly thst I can't tell where you are on the app.
Libraries are how you can keep different groups separate. For instance, I play with a jazz trio, but I also play with my wife. I use libraries to keep the charts separately. That way, when I build a set for the Trio, I don't see the charts I use with my wife.
@@randyrektor , I found the answer to my question. If I first select a library before creating a set list, then the set list editor will show me only scores in the selected library.
Glad it was helpful! In my experience, it's a cool practice tool, especially for people who need their hands full-time, but it's not functional enough to use live. A page turner pedal seems so much more intuitive in my opinion.
Hi Randy! - I love using forscore but have a challenge with the Ipad if playing outside in sunlight. Have you used any matte screens or sunshields of any kind with your ipad ?
I haven’t needed anything special as I’m usually using lead sheets for cues and reminders more than anything. Sometimes I hardly look down, but I’ve heard great things about the matte screens!
Q: are these features all for Forscore PRO or basic? We are thinking about investing in Forscore for a grå thst play together in church. If we buy the app, how does it work - do you get one Account and several licenses so more ppl can Join, or does every one have to buy Forscore separatly?
Your best bet is likely the bookmark function. You can upload a whole PDF and apply an excel style document to automatically sort and bookmark each piece.
@@randyrektor hi. Thanks so much for your reply. This may be another video tutorial idea hahaha. Maybe it sounds silly but I don't know how to "apply an excel style document". (Once the bookmarks worked for each song automatically while the PDF was opened from the library. But after that time it never happened again). That's why I need to learn how to do it.
Hi Randy. Thanks for your presentation. I discovered the software with your video a few months ago and I've been using it since. Your explinations are straightforward and cover all the basic utilities that one needs to get started. Your review is also well balanced between the pros and cons. Awesome software. Concerning the pedal I should've listened to you though. Purchased another model and well, for the moment, I got to get use to it. Anyway thanks again.
Hey Pierre, thanks so much for the kind words! It's really nice to hear that it comes across balanced. I like talking about things that I already like, so sometimes it's tough to bring some real cons to the table. Out of curiosity, what pedal did you end up getting?
@@randyrektor Hi again Randy. Thanks for the feedback. Concerning the pedal, I got the AirTurn PEDpro. It's compact, works right out of the box and is real easy to use. But I wonder if I'm missing the feeling of pushing a real pedal, which you don't have on that model. It's more like 2 buttons. I use it mainly when I play clarinet and tenor sax and from what I've tried, the main problem I have, is that sometimes my foot misses the buttons. Or my foot doesn't seem to be at the right place at the right moment or not centered enough. Which is quite annoying when I'm waiting for that half page to arrive and it doesn't. But hey, maybe I just have to take some more time and find the best way to use it. I also probably tend to move too much when I play but that's hard not to do ! Anyway I'm not discouraged yet. But if it's a dead end for me, I'll definitely go for an AirTurn model with real pedals. All the best. Pierre
Hi, I'm just about to get an apple I pad as for score isn't available on Play Store, and I've had so many problems using other programs, especially get full screen sized .music score, also can you tell me as cost wise can I flick pages over on ipad by my finger, I would much appreciate your advice on this. Many thanks. Dave T.
Yes you can use the crop function to make the music as large on the screen as you’d like. And you can use your finger to change pages. Tap anywhere on the right half of the screen to advance, and left side to go back. The top and bottom have menu functions.
I am running my ipad and another ipad with forscore cue, when it links the view of the file on the cue ipad is small and not in fullscreen. How do you make it fullscreen ?
I've a question to everyone. I want to buy an a4 format tablet/iPad for my sheet music, but I dont know yet which one. Therefore, what is the best: forscore (available in app store) or mobile sheet (available for Android and app store)?
I;ve been recording my playing using the item in the 'annotation' section. But I record icon cover part of the last line of the music. How do I move it out of the way??
I'm really split. I've been using Mobilesheets on my Windows device for only a couple weeks now. I don't know whether to convert to using ForScore on my iPad, or just stick with Mobilesheets??
I’ve never heard of Mobilesheets before, but I’m a huge (unpaid) advocate for ForScore. It’s what most of my musician friends use as well, for what it’s worth. Good luck with the hunt!
Crop Page - Turtle-Rabbit on left edge: when you are manually cropping (spreading & pinching), the turtle-rabbit slider changes the response of the chart. In full Turtle, the page crops slowly for more precision. Rabbit - opposite.
@@randyrektor Thanks for the vids. I hadn't used the TIME field in the metadata but that's a great feature. Do you know what the REFERENCE sort is used for on the set list page?
I just tested it out. It looks like another tag you can use to find scores quickly. You could use something like “good openers” or “slow songs” and find them from a list. If you press “reference” the set list sorts by those tags. Could be useful, especially for barbands and such! Looks like “tags” and “labels” work similarly
Hey Randy, this video is great! Thank you!! I’m in the early stages of converting my notebooks of hand scribbled paper transcriptions with reinforced, punched holes to electronic for use forScore. It appears to be robust and do what I need. It’s also the app used by others in my band, so it’s a keeper. Thanks to this video, I’ve got a much better understanding of the functionality and how to use it. I’m wondering if you might have a tip of organizing my libraries...
I’ve used the basic functionality with a small number of pdf’s in my studio. I’m also familiar with setting up set lists which will be helpful for gigs. (At gigs, I mostly use documentation for cues to get started and otherwise play from memory.) Although my band mates use forScore, they have different needs from mine. I’m the drummer in the band. I’m learning to sing while drumming and hope to be able to contribute vocals to the band in the future. I will have specific needs during rehearsals and practice sessions. Here’s my scenario… For each song, I’ll have a drum chart. For some, I will have a drum chart and lyrics (if I already know the song). For others, I’ll have the drum chart and sheet music or chord chart (for songs I’m still learning). For a few, I may have two or more chord charts (the key may vary if I’m singing lead or backup). How do I best load these options into a library(s)? I believe I can make 1 long pdf with all the different documents related to one song. This approach might be a challenge when I need to reference a drum chart and lyrics. (I could use 2 tablets…) I could create a different ‘song’ for each document - Layla drums, Layla sheet music, Layla lyrics, etc. That would create a library with 1200 ‘songs’ for the 400 tunes I’d like to load. Can you suggest a better way to set up my libraries to deal with this need? TY!
Hey Sue, good to hear from you! I personally lean towards option 2. I have some charts that are “Layla Dm” “Layla Em” etc etc. another option would be to create libraries with different types of scores. You could have “Piano Vocals” “Drum Scores” “lead sheets” and navigate to the appropriate library depending. One concern with that is I don’t think you can make setlists with cross-library functionality. Hmmm. Maybe your second option is the cleanest way to do it.
Randy, can you help me? I am a fairly new user, i have 14, but I cannot get the navigation bar to come up I keep getting I get what looks like an edit page etc. It has the display on the left, Song name pages, and a check in a circle with a display mode that looks like a setting.
- thank you! I am using the visual metronome so the sides of the page flash. As far as I have been able to figure out, it seems that if you have the metronome on for one chart, it will be on for every chart. The closest I can get to a workaround is to go to the minimum setting of 28 BPM for the songs that I don’t want/need a metronome, but I still have to put up with the sides flashing once every two seconds. I wish the metronome could be set to zero so that it wouldn’t flaw, at all, on songs that I would rather not have it.
I am not sure what the actual ForScore requirements are, but the one in this video is an old iPad Air 2. I have recently upgraded to the new iPad Air 4 and both work no problem. Obviously the bigger the better. My wife used in on an iPad mini for a while, but her eyes are better than mine lol.
Absolutely! Two ways to do this, you can either use the built in scanner function called Darkroom to individually take pics and convert them into PDFs, or you can scan them using another method and load the file into ForScore.
I know you can change the sound for the piano in forScore. I somehow did change it to like a synth or organ sound, but I don’t know how I did it!!! Anybody know how to change the sound of the piano??? And thanks!!
That was great, thanks! I will be purchasing this app and pedals for teaching (Zoom-covid😕), performing and recording videos. You helped me have the confidence to make the purchase 😎
@@randyrektor just downloaded it. Pedals on order! I can already see how brill it’s going to be! Yes the teaching is going fine on Zoom thanks. Good all high end audio/visual/lighting and these additions will definitely help👌
That’s awesome to hear, Tim. I love hearing stories about how resilient musicians have become through all this crap. Good luck with the pedal! I hope you love it.
Hey. Cool video. Helpful. So if you just use lyrics with chord names over them and not sheet music, do you still think this would be better than just using pics/jpegs (or word docs) of the music/lyrics? (for Ipad).
I still think it’s worth it! I use chords and lyrics all the time and the page turning, music tools, folder formatting and ease of use is still bigtime worth it! You can’t use jpegs though, I don’t think. Pretty sure it all has to be in pdf format, but that’s easy enough to convert
I am using an iPad Air now. It’s been totally fine for me! I’ve used it for classical notation as well as lead sheets with bands and never found it too small. That said, a large pro would be nice, for sure!
Hi, does anyone ever have trouble while looking at the music through ForScore, the page turns on it's own? I use a bluetooth pedal which works fine, but even when I am not using the pedal the page just turns on it's own which is a pain! Would love to know how to fix this! Thanks!
Yes you can! You can actually set it up so when you open a chart it will automatically trigger a patch change. This is super cool because you can literally pick random songs and have your guitar tone change automatically. I put out a video on how to do this!
Randy, thank you for this information. Right off the bat you mention the libraries, but not how to edit or add libraries. I just bought a new iPad pro and downloaded the app. My libraries are listed as composers, genres, tags and labels. How do I add my own as in your video? Then you describe set lists but not how to create them. Am I missing something? A lot of videos show you all the great things their product can do but not how to do them. Just something to keep in mind. Thanks anyway.
Hey Tommy, thanks for the comment. This video isn’t meant to be a tutorial, just an overview of the features available. I am not affiliated with ForScore, just demonstrating tools for musicians. To create a set list, click the + in the set list menu. To create a library, click the library button and click the + to make a new one. Hope this helps!
@@randyrektor Thank you for that reply. I've now been able to crreate a set of libraries. Perfect! I don't have a a set list menu yet but I'll look for the + sign when I do. Thanks again and have a good day!
If you have a piece of music and you put it in a set list with some other music - AND you then want to put the same piece of music in to another different set list - do you have to load the music again on to Forscore please or is there still a copy in your index ? Thank you
Hey Gareth, you only need one copy. You can either go into the metadata of a song and pick which set lists to add it to (it will show a check mark beside ones it’s already in), or you can go to the set list and add the song that way.
Thanks Daniel! It certainly does. There’s a section in settings where you can enable it. There are some additional options there as well for things like ignoring fingers while the pencil is enabled, etc.
Absolutely. You can either scan a PDF using Darkroom to make it look nice, or you can also use another scanning method and import them as PDFs. Both ways work great!
Thanks man! They are both pretty great. I think the best comparison is that ForScore is way better if you have music PDFs that you want to read. OnSong is better if you have text files you want to be able to edit. For example, if you’re a bar musician, or in a worship band, OnSong may be a better option for you as you can change chords and keys. If you’re reading sheet music, ForScore is best! Hope this help :)
is there a way to change pdf to opposite dark background pdf? also, OnSong has tons o Midi Features you can insert anywhere for any midi controller data. each software is evolving and it's good to have choices. just hard to stare at blinding white pdf's on a dark stage...
so I'm looking to get an iPad 32g. When Uploading sheet music, does it get stored into the app or to the iPad itself using the memory? Just seeing if I can get away with a 32g Thanks
Hiya, you answered my last question amazingly, thank you. I have another and I hope it makes sense. When I started using forScore I didn’t create a library, I just used the ‘All libraries’ tab for everything. I now want to create 3 library’s for different instruments. Is there a way I can transfer the scores with all the metadata inputted, into a separate library? I created an archive and back up and then imported all the scores into one of the new libraries but this didn’t bring Any of the metadata with it. Do you have any advice? Thanks
Hey Kate, I believe that if you open up a score, click on the title to open the metadata tab, down at the bottom in the list of tabs you should see “libraries” and I believe it will allow you to choose which libraries that score shows up within (metadata and all). It’s a bit manual as you’ll have to go through one by one. I’m not sure if there’s another way around it. Check with the ForScore Users Group on Facebook. They usually have an answer for everything, it seems :) hope this helps!!
For sure! Tap library music note. Navigate to the chart (all scores or by artist), then swipe left on the song. It will pull up an option to delete. There are a couple other ways as well
Hey John, there are a couple of ways to do this. The quickest way would be to AirDrop the PDF to your laptop and open it into ForScore. Another option would be to link your dropbox account. This is what I do. It means you can browse dropbox from within ForScore and pull charts in as needed. Another option would be to upgrade to ForScore Pro ($13/year) which will allow you to mirror your FoScore from one device to another. This means any updates on one will show up on the other. Hope this helps!
are there downloadable tabs chords for forscore ala ultimate guitar anyone? I want to be able to edit the tabs and chords I see online can that be done with that as well?
Ooo interesting, so you won't be able to bring charts in and edit them. This is literally just a PDF reader. I am currently working on a review of SheetMusic Direct which has loads of tabs and chords and you can often change keys, but even that program won't let you edit text freely. I would recommend OnSong. I think that will be the best program for your Wishlist. I don't have any videos on it, but it's designed to work with text so you can edit chords and text very easily! Hope this helps!
Is there a way to include the audio file(s) in the shared (exported) setlist? Read the manual, searched the web, contacted forscore support (they never reply).
@@randyrektor thx for the tweet tip. I'll tweet them, 'cause they never reply on support trough web form. My guess is, exporting the audio is not possible. Yes, I've tried include scores and extras, no luck.
Hey Joelson, if you mean syncing to a piano or listening to what the piano is playing, it does not do this. Basically just a PDF display. Hope this helps
They are quite different. ForScore is more of a PDF reader with features built for musicians whereas OnSong is a text reader and editor for musician. Both have great and unique tools. If you’re interested in changing chords of your songs, manipulating text, etc, OnSong is a great option. ForScore is more for reading scores that don’t need changing. Hope this helps!
You won’t be able to change your font within ForScore, however you can crop in on the music within the menu to make it as large as possible. Hope this helps!
well I mean a setlist within a setlist. for instance: i made a classical setlist and within that setlist i want setlists on the name of a composer. and then for instance a division in instruments. so i get setlist: classical-Debussy-pianoworks- to study - already studied- etc etc @@randyrektor
I have a music book with a collection of 30 tunes by different composers. Is there a way I can list each piece separately so each title and composer can appear individually? And then take you to those particular pages within the book? I can only get round this by individually separating each piece and disseminating the book. Thank you
Hey Kate, you can load the full book into ForScore, then use the bookmark feature to itemize each score, or better, you can create a table of contents that automatically assigns and separates by piece. Hope this helps!
Hey, thank you for the reply. That’s incredibly useful and makes finding the tons of music I have a lot easier. This video is great, thanks for doing it!

Nice!! Still learning but this is useful
What apps do you recommend where you can change key and make notes via pencil?
Very cool. Thank you. Looking deeper into face gestures for turning pages…
I WISH I SAW THIS VIDEO 5 YEARS AGO!! THANK YOU
It needs a home page that is easy to navigate- it isnt that user friendly
Q: are these features all for Forscore PRO or basic?
We are thinking about investing in Forscore for a grå thst play together in church. If we buy the app, how does it work - do you get one Account and several licenses so more ppl can Join, or does every one have to buy Forscore separatly?
Can i use my iPad pro 2015 iOS 16 to download forScore..!!
Thanks..💐
HELP please: How can I split a whole large pdf song book into separated songs? Thank you for this video. It was really helpful 🙏🥰
At the moment I have to do a page turned, even for a one page song like all of me. Is there a way to shrink it fit to page?
Great info + pace. I'm in a Windows / Android household. Any recommendations from anyone, or should I bite the bullet and go Apple?..!
Can you show how to start adding the app from the beginning?
Guitar player. Added stamps of some odd chords however inside stamps dropdown they are so small you cant read them.
Great video! Thank you
Very professional video!
Hey thanks, C-Tech!
Thanks for the info! I guess that makes sense why it shows up on that page. Much appreciated :)
What is the foot pedal brand you're using?
Hey Mark, it’s called an “air turn bt105” and I believe it’s linked in the description. :) hope this helps!
Hi Randy, Is there a way on Forscore to see in which setlist a particular song is?
Yes, click on the title at the top, it will open the metadata and you can see which setlists it’s in near the bottom
Here’s my scenario…
For each song, I’ll have a drum chart.
@@randyrektor TY!!!
Randy, can you help me? I am a fairly new user, i have 14, but I cannot get the navigation bar to come up I keep getting I get what looks like an edit page etc. It has the display on the left, Song name pages, and a check in a circle with a display mode that looks like a setting.
What Ipad Pro case are you using? I'm really struggling to find one that should be able to keep it from slipping off my piano sheet holder
Can you print the music off if you wanted to for those who don’t have an iPad or prefer a paper copy!
Sure can!
Oh my god!! I didn’t know I could play audio tracks within four score!!?
🤯 enjoy!! It’s such a game changer for backing tracks and metronomes
Is it possible to save the metronome setting for each score so that it starts up automatically when you bring up each score?
I believe the tempo is stored, but I know for certain that you can add a button to trigger a desired metronome speed
Ive heard you can use facial motions to turn pages rather than the pedal option. Have you heard about this?
Yes, it’s a little novel in my honest opinion. Not something I’d ever use for gigging but maybe a nice tool for practicing!
Thank you - this was helpful.
Thanks Joseph!
What size iPad is needed for viewability during performing? I have read 10.9" (iPad Air) minimum.
Can I upload any sheet music like from my music books for my harp playing for special occasions?
Absolutely! Two ways to do this, you can either use the built in scanner function called Darkroom to individually take pics and convert them into PDFs, or you can scan them using another method and load the file into ForScore.
@@randyrektor do you have a video to show how to do it?
It’s actually in this video if you go to the time stamp that says ‘Darkroom’. It’s pretty simple to use :)
I know you can change the sound for the piano in forScore. I somehow did change it to like a synth or organ sound, but I don’t know how I did it!!! Anybody know how to change the sound of the piano??? And thanks!!
Good stuff, but I need more basic info, like how do you download music. The help tab is undecipherable. Thanks
That was great, thanks! I will be purchasing this app and pedals for teaching (Zoom-covid😕), performing and recording videos. You helped me have the confidence to make the purchase 😎
Fantastic! It’s my favourite app and I’m happy to recommend it. Hope things are going smoothly with the Zoom teaching. Must make things challenging.
Cool. Thanks
Anytime!
I want to 'extract' the piano score from the orchestral score. Can FourScore do this?
No it cant, unfortunately. It's just a PDF reader.
What sizs is your ipad? I'm thinking to get one and everybody is recommending not less than 12.3 in
I am using an iPad Air now. It’s been totally fine for me! I’ve used it for classical notation as well as lead sheets with bands and never found it too small. That said, a large pro would be nice, for sure!
I’m looking for an app which will write the music as I play it. Will ForScore do that?
No ForScore is just a pdf reader
Hi, does anyone ever have trouble while looking at the music through ForScore, the page turns on it's own? I use a bluetooth pedal which works fine, but even when I am not using the pedal the page just turns on it's own which is a pain! Would love to know how to fix this! Thanks!
You may have “gestures” enabled which allows you to turn pages using your head. Sounds crazy but it’s useful for some!
Can you send midi program changes from forscore ?
Awesome! Glad to hear it
If you have a piece of music and you put it in a set list with some other music - AND you then want to put the same piece of music in to another different set list - do you have to load the music again on to Forscore please or is there still a copy in your index ? Thank you
Hey Gareth, you only need one copy. You can either go into the metadata of a song and pick which set lists to add it to (it will show a check mark beside ones it’s already in), or you can go to the set list and add the song that way.
thanks
Thank you from Brussels ❤
Thanks for watching :)
Hello! Does the app have all music or would I have to download my own sheet music?
The app doesn’t come with music, it’s just a PDF reader to store and read your PDF sheets. Hope this helps! :)
@@randyrektor okay thank you! Would you recommend looking online for sheet music? Or is there anything else I could do to get sheet music?
@@skippyjay You could check out some online retailers like Sheet Music Direct, they have lots available.
Does the app work with the Apple Pencil? Love the quality
Thanks Daniel! It certainly does. There’s a section in settings where you can enable it. There are some additional options there as well for things like ignoring fingers while the pencil is enabled, etc.
can you scan printed scores? and use it as a PDF
Absolutely. You can either scan a PDF using Darkroom to make it look nice, or you can also use another scanning method and import them as PDFs. Both ways work great!
Great video! How would you compare FS to OnSong?
Well done thank you.
My pleasure
is there a way to change pdf to opposite dark background pdf? also, OnSong has tons o Midi Features you can insert anywhere for any midi controller data. each software is evolving and it's good to have choices. just hard to stare at blinding white pdf's on a dark stage...
Yes you can invert the colours. This is a very different app from OnSong, but it does have midi functionality as well
Helpful - thank you.
You’ve got it!
so I'm looking to get an iPad 32g. When Uploading sheet music, does it get stored into the app or to the iPad itself using the memory? Just seeing if I can get away with a 32g
Thanks
Thank you
My pleasure!
I cannot get the music to be displayed in portrait mode. Landscape doesnt make it! How do I get the music to be in the portrait mode?
Is there a way to delete a song from your library if you have duplicates?
For sure! Tap library music note. Navigate to the chart (all scores or by artist), then swipe left on the song. It will pull up an option to delete. There are a couple other ways as well
Thanks for the info. Can ForScore play the music from a pdf?
Nope it’s just a PDF display with musical annotation
Can you input music from a MIDI controller and have it put the notes on sheet music?
Hey John, not with this app unfortunately.
QUESTION: Is it possible to transfer PDF from a computer to forScore on the iPad Pro?
Hey John, there are a couple of ways to do this. The quickest way would be to AirDrop the PDF to your laptop and open it into ForScore.
Another option would be to link your dropbox account. This is what I do. It means you can browse dropbox from within ForScore and pull charts in as needed.
Another option would be to upgrade to ForScore Pro ($13/year) which will allow you to mirror your FoScore from one device to another. This means any updates on one will show up on the other.
Hope this helps!
Does this work for guitar chords and lyrics too ? What pedal do you recommend?
Yes it works perfectly for that. Just be mindful that they are PDFs, so you can’t change the cords of the song.
Oh also the air turn pedal is awesome :) link in the description :)
If I'm on a bus or train I would like to view FOURSCORE music on my Iphone, can that be done?
Yup! You can sync between multiple devices
are there downloadable tabs chords for forscore ala ultimate guitar anyone?
Oooo interesting.. I’m not sure about that. Have you tried sharing “Include Scores and Extras”? Also I’ve had better luck with tweeting at them
@@randyrektor thx for the tweet tip. I'll tweet them, 'cause they never reply on support trough web form. My guess is, exporting the audio is not possible. Yes, I've tried include scores and extras, no luck.
Sorry to hear man, best of luck!
Hi!Unrelated question...where can I buy the board hanging on your wall with the hooks?
Hey Emil, that’s from IKEA :) my grandfathers name was Emil. Are you Czech as well?
What version are you using? My list of functions does not include the console option.
This is version 12 but I believe they may have removed console as you can now use ForScore on your Mac. Not 100% sure though
Anyway to use functionality with a PC?
I don’t think so, unfortunately :(
Hello, does this application have the function of marking the part of the score that is being played by the pianist?
thanks
Hey Joelson, if you mean syncing to a piano or listening to what the piano is playing, it does not do this. Basically just a PDF display. Hope this helps
What makes this better and more reliable than OnSong ?
They are quite different. ForScore is more of a PDF reader with features built for musicians whereas OnSong is a text reader and editor for musician. Both have great and unique tools. If you’re interested in changing chords of your songs, manipulating text, etc, OnSong is a great option. ForScore is more for reading scores that don’t need changing. Hope this helps!
Can I change my font size for my sheet music in Forscore from my 11" iPad, if so where to go in the iPad? Thank you!
You won’t be able to change your font within ForScore, however you can crop in on the music within the menu to make it as large as possible. Hope this helps!
@@randyrektor thank you!
Great video on the iPad info.
is it possible to create a map within a map?
What do you mean by map? Sorry that im not following
well I mean a setlist within a setlist. for instance: i made a classical setlist and within that setlist i want setlists on the name of a composer. and then for instance a division in instruments. so i get setlist: classical-Debussy-pianoworks- to study - already studied- etc
etc @@randyrektor
@sebastiaanbernardo6325 oooo I see! No you can’t, but you can create libraries with setlists in them. That may help.
Hi I just purchased FORSCORE for my macbook. I use PAGES to create lyric and chord charts. I have over 300 that I want to put into FORSCORE. I'm' having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to do this with out converting each file on PAGES individually one by one to a PDF. Is it possible to make this process much quicker and easier?
Hey Alvaro, I haven't heard of a way to bulk-convert Pages files. I wonder if there's a third party app. Unfortunately, I think the best way is to open them all up, pour a nice tall coffee, and get er done. Let me know if you find an app to bulk the job!
@@randyrektor thanks for the reply... I've tried a few third party apps but can't seem to do it for PAGES. gosh I can't believe how difficult it is to figure it out. Oh well, looks like it's time to grind this one out.
