Dude, you are the most real RUclips person that I watched for a long time. Big fan now. I’m going to watch your past videos and cry for missed opportunities to get free stuff. 😔✌️
New to the channel. I picked up the M50 to get away from the 80D and the 7D mk II, I haven’t used either camera since buying the M50. I’m 71 and this little jewel with the native lenses is perfect to carry around and take great photos. I have all the Canon native M lenses except the 32 mm. I love the sigma 56 mm it’s a perfectly sharp lens for portraits. I picked up a canon 10-18 cheap and love it for landscape and structural photos. Basically having a lot of fun with the Canon M 50.
Keep your head up, i think this proves that we are here for you knowledge and not just for your free stuff. you are an incredibly generous person, keep up the great work!
Besides the kit lens, I own the Sigma 16mm & 56mm and the Canon 32mm by now. They are all amazing! I sometimes still am unhappy about having committed to the EF-M system, but it keeps my from buying overpriced stuff.
On the plus side, your loyal viewers who stay to the end get rewarded :) That's how I look at it, I'd rather have those people win something than people who just click off cause they can't concentrate longer than 20 seconds.
@@PatrickJaszewski I was obviously one of four, but when you can't win with odds like that....🤷...or maybe I live too far away 🙄😊 So congrats to the winner 🎉
I won a badass light from you back in December, and I'm happy with my Canon M1 with the adapted vintage lenses I've slowly acquired over the past year. Best of luck to those who submitted their names to the hat!
fantastic video as always loads of information and brilliantly high quality. I have been debating going to EF-M for a while now, i recently spoke to the guys over at the Canon live online chat and they filled me in about the m6ii
totally agree mate! I find the most joy in shooting with cheaper/budget lenses and getting as good if not better results than the super expensive lenses
I watched to the end, I swear. Congrats to the winners! Hope everyone's safe and doing okay. You're wonderful and your enthusiasm for cameras is so much fun to watch. Take care.
I initially bought a M100 for some vlogging/short videos, but was very surprised by the quality of the pictures, even with the kit lens. And yesterday I just discovered it had an builtin intervalometer! I got some very cool shots of a storm and lightning’thanks to it, great little camera!
Finally!!!!!!!!!!! I have spent so much time looking for a video like this one. I am new to all of this and I want to make sure that I get what I need now. This is SOOOO Good. Thank you very much for sharing this !!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok its two years later but I watched your video to the end. Sorry I missed your giveaway. lol I'm 60 years old and just started becoming a photographer. The video really helped me out on which lens to buy for the ef-m system. Loved the comparison at the end and decided to strive to be a better photographer by skill rather then by equipment. Merry Xmas dude.
Wow that 32mm just looks like a fun little lens and it’s sooo sharp. I’m stuck in between wanting to buy a better vlog lens the Sigma 16mm or a better photo and b-roll with the canon 32mm. Ahhh decisions. Thanks for putting this video up. Not a lot of EF-m content out there.
That is crazy about the number of people who got in on your giveaway. I didn't because I have an M50 already and wanted to give others a chance to get a good Canon M mount camera. I've actually seen these results on my channel giveaways too. Yes, I'm no where near your channel subscribers but I digress...lol .. Keep up the awesome videos. I've learned so much from watching your videos and I really appreciate your channel content.
I'm new to photography and I have recently purchased the M50. This is the best video on RUclips I have came across for lens selection, thank you. Liked and subscribed. 👍
Just ordered the little EOS m 11-22mm zoom. Should work well on my M5. Like that your brand agnostic. Makes most of your reviews worth watching. Thanks and stay safe.
I have both the Canon m5 and m6, along with the Canon 18-150 3.5-6.3 | 22 2, Neewer 35 1.7 and Tokina 11-16 2.8 which I use with the Canon Mount Adapter. I love love love the EOS m system. I shoot professionally with a Canon 5dmkiii with a Canon 50 1.2 |24-70 2.8 | 70-200 2.8 | 24-105 4 and Canon 7dmki as back up. I love to use the 5d and m5 combo when doing events!! The 5d is amazing, but the size and touch focus of the m5 when attached with an L glass is top notch, just waiting for the R5 cuz honestly mirrorless has really grown on me, expect for battery life, but have many extras to keep me going. I’ve worked with Sony before, but nothing compares to the Canon Color✌️Nice vid!!
Somehow I stumbled on this video because I recently bought my first camera, which is an EOS M. Thank you for showing me all the different lenses. I hope I can find some of the down the road for cheaper since the M line is now discontinued. Regardless of the lens, I hope to get better in my videos and photos. Thanks again
I picked up a Canon M50 a couple of months ago and just started to research lens. Thats how I found this video and have subscribed. I'm just starting to learn how to take good photos and video. For photos, I think I'm going to order the Kamlan 50mm f1.1 based on your recommendation. Hard to beat the $160.00 price I found on Amazon. Thank you for the info and I'll definitely be checking out more!!!
I only now stumbled across your video. With everything crazy going on, I've had an unboxed M6-MKII sitting on my shelf for over a year. So after all this time, I've been wondering if it was still a viable camera and if there were any new lenses since I seem to remember that there were only a few available. Needless to say, I'm glad to see I have some good options. I should also mention that it's awesome to have a RUclips host who doesn't come off as condescending and actually seems like a real and relatable person. So take care and thanks again for the great review.
I'm just a silent viewer here, I always watched your videos, even if i don't own a camera myself, i just love to watch videos like this, i just want u to know that i learned alot about photography by just watching your videos, so keep it up sir, and thanks for your videos, regards from Philippines 👍❤️
I love your videos, obviously because you offer the most practical advice without being stuffy or pompous, and always in an entertaining way. I don’t, however, ever get in at the right time to try to win one of your giveaways, which is enormously generous. As optimistic as I am in life, I don’t expect I would ever win one of your giveaways, and so I don’t enter. But rest assured, I always watch to the end.
Truly a great video and you deserve more subs, I really appreciate a heart felt description of each lens characteristics. You channel with swell in time, it will come I am sure.
Your Vlogs are always cool and full of sunshine.....I wondered why Panasonic on micro 4/3 rather than Olympus....apparently the old EM1 mk2 has been given an update and blows most cameras out of the water for photo's and video. That nice Christmas guy Peter Gregg has just bought one......Maybe you could borrow one for review. Keep up the good work,
Hi Andy. Many reasons for Panasonic- they have the smallest ILC cameras in the world ruclips.net/video/vj2eji4ms5A/видео.html and the most professional lineup of video, camera and lenses (I do a lot of pro video work). Olympus only makes photography cameras (no dedicated video cameras) and they are too clunky for me. I know the retro look is in, which Fuji is also going with, ...but I need streamlined functionality of an entire system. I do love some of the Olympus lenses though- I love the M Zuiko 45mm 1.8 so much, I bought 3 of them. They are so small, they are perfect for travelling, they autofocus super fast, lightweight and I need tiny lightweight stuff. I have two Lumix 42.5mm f1.2 lenses and never use them- I always use the tiny Olympus 45mm. Even my Olympus 75mm is too big and heavy for my M43 taste. If I'm going to take something that heavy, I might as well use my bigger sensor Sony 6300. But I appreciate all brands and kinds of cameras, lenses, lights, audio etc. They are wonderful toys.
Thanks for your video. I have not seen many videos from you recently, and I am not sure why. I am going to look back and see what I missed. Stay safe and keep on keeping on.
Hello Markus just came across your post and found it so informative and entertaining thanks. I have a M50 still getting the hang of it but love it. Anyway please take care in this aweful time we are all going thru stay safe and look forward to your future oposts see ya

I have a canon t7i and have been debating on getting like a m6 or m50. I'm so glad you uploaded this because I have never really looked into ef m stuff. Only L series glass. Keep up the great work!
I just found your channel Markus, great videos! Most chill photography reviewer and you really go into all the details and cover a lot of lenses that I've never heard of. Keep up the great work man! You definitely stand out in an exceptional way!, I wish this algorithm would have let me found your channel sooner. You have my support!
Markus.. you have a Sony audience ..I never even watched your last video as I'm one of those Sony boys.. great video buddy .. good to reach out to other people who shoot Canon
Me too- Sony and Panasonic. I just wanted to play with the little Canon APSC they looked so cute at Best Buy. They can take great pictures, but it's nothing like the the Sony experience. I keep trying to give Canon a chance but they baffle me - taking a picture and waiting 2 seconds before I see what I just took?
love how you narrowed down your conclusion about which one to choose. I really look forward to using the smaller lenses on the m50 as i chose the smaller camera to make it more portable and useable! I think that this philosophy should go hand in hand and that the larger lenses just look irrelevant on the m50, like you should have just bought a full frame camera if you wanted to use those lenses to their full potential.
Top job it is so good to see someone that try's to do the utmost for people. don't let the last response to your last comp get you down, if i was in the USA i would take part every time. have you tried the Canon 18-135mm IS USM Lens yes i Know it is a slow lens but have a go.it might surprise you , it's not a bad lens
I just happen to come across your channel because of this video.thanks for doing such a great video showing some unknown lenses. You have a new subscriber.
I can't believe I just came across your video which was great and very useful. I watched until the end!!! I would have won because I love these caneras!!! Darn.
Well next giveaway I bet there were A LOT more than 4 people :D Also, respect for not canceling it. Video super useful, pushed me another small step towards getting the EF 50mm with an adapter (thinking about getting a speed booster) for the M50 So thanks. Also I watched till the very end - it was educational and inspiring :) Great vibes keep it up
Great channel just found you after getting a EOS M5 and searching for info on lenses, my main rig 5D2 and Im really amazed by this M5 and even the kit lens. Just picked up the dapper and 55-250 STM lens, now looking for a deal on the 22mm EF-M, My question is do you have a preferred brand for ND and CP filter? in regards for use on the EF-M lenses
I watched your last video until the end but I also won a little something a few months back and thought I'd let other win. You're generous and I appreciate everything you do.
Okay, see you in the next video. I am interested in video blogging. I do like watching to the ends of most videos, but sometimes I get distracted (have to go to work) and I will leave them on pause till I get back. A lot of times my computer will restart from updates and I won't remember where I was. Great review of these lenses, but I generally stick to my full frame canons and have told myself that I don't need to buy anymore lenses or cameras. (will see how long I can go) Thanks for posting and your model is lovely!
Thanks for the great content Markus, don't get discouraged, most of us love free stuff but don't need more gear. Thanks for being awesome and greetings from Vegas!
@@MarkusPix Hey just saw this , sorry for the delay. My family and I just moved down here from Montana last September and we are loving it. Hope you and yours are healthy and staying safe in these crazy times and thanks again fro all the great content!
I watched it to the end too. Not a Canon guy. Panasonic and Nikon for me. I wouldn't use either of the cameras you gave away. I hope someone that really wanted to use them, got them.
Just to let you know, we do indeed watching all of your video ;) thanks again for posting, and God this 50 does look incredible. I do own the 85/1.2 and I was never interested on a 50 lens, but you kind of made me to want start searching the used market for a good deal!!! cheers from uk. and stay safe, as we all say these days :)
The 50 full frame is like an 85 when its on a crop sensor which adds the the effect even more. Its a great lens, I use it quite a bit on my Samsung NX500
Congratulations to those that won cameras. Thanks for being such a giving person. Thanks for your videos. Somehow I missed that video about the Canon cameras. Stay safe.
Markus, I only just discovered your channel this weekend. Love your content but even more I appreciate your joy & enthusiasm! You make me smile and feel happy describing & comparing gear performance. "Which lenses give you...the most pleasure"--Great perspective. I subscribed. One question that wasn't answered in your vids on using the Godox AD200, etc.--when you do a quick guerrilla shooting session, what power level is your AD200 typically set to for fill lighting? Full power? Thanks for the great information and sharing your experience!
Awesome video. I have the Canon M50 and only have the 14-45mm kit lens. I've only ever looked at Canon lenses, good to know there are other options out there.
Great video. I just Got myself an M50 with Kit lens and an FD mount from Amazon. I'm using My dads Vintage Canon 50mm 1.8 Lens. It gets some amazing Pics on the Tripod. My hands are too shaky. I'm going to search through your videos, I'm looking to do some Macro shots. Fun video!
I was about to say "all those pictures look the same " and for you to confirm that as I was typing I just had to chuckle to myself . This video was great, but it made it really hard for me to pick a lens without me feeling disappointed if I choose the wrong one😂. I’m trying to find the best lens for video something where I can get a crisp image and a nice blurred background. I want to be able to zoom in and out with out loosing quality without being stuck at just 16mm or 22mm. The kit lens is cool and all but it just doesn’t do it from me. Maybe I just don’t understand fully the different or maybe what I’m looking just doesn’t exist in my canon eos m50 maybe should have didn’t a bit more research before I purchased
I did watch the entire video, however you already gave me a phantom power little box for a microphone last year so I guess is fair that everybody gets a chance to win. I am a Canon EF shooter :) I actually own the M50 . Thanks for sharing these videos Markus!!
Hi Marcus! I am a raw foodist and I am a photographer. My photography equipment is Canon eos R and RF lenses. Unrivaled quality, try it! I’ve been your fan for 10 years, and 10 years a raw foodist)
Don't get down about the people who didn't enter... This was a great vid and keep it up. You about have me talked into the nifty 50. Now I just need to find a used one at an ok price.
I watched your video to the end but not because of the equipment you give away. I have all I need and I can buy whatever I need for my hobby. I watched your video because I like your show. Also, I think that if you want everybody to watch your videos to the end you should decrease their duration by 2/3. People treat RUclips channels the same as the articles of a newspaper. They have a fast look and move on to the next one. Time is limited.
just found your channel, i have had the M50 since january, been getting some great pics with it, i got it with the 15-45 and 55-200 kit lenses, i then got the sigma 100-400 the M50 is perfet as it gives me two cameras in one, i can put it in my handbag with the 22mm instead of a body blank and put the 55-200 and or the 15-45 in my bag when i just out and about not specifically going to a shoot. if i'm going out looking for wild life like foxes and birds then i take my 100-400 and the 15-45 incase i need a wide. the one thing that is missing is a native m-m mount x2 converter i have the ef x2 but i'd like an m-m x2 for the small size too. i have also gotten x5 macro with the sigma 100-400 with 2 x2 coverters and s 25mm ext tubes i have the 28mm macro too which is good for quick macro
Congratulation Dean Burwell for winning the lens!

I agree
2:20 best quote of this lifetime:
“This is a good lens to have..just for.. having.”
Put bloopers at the end of ur videos! I tried it and had some good luck with it!
I just happen to come across your channel because of this video.thanks for doing such a great video showing some unknown lenses. You have a new subscriber.
Welcome!
Great, informative video....the best I've seen for the canon M series....love the Carmel tee
Great video as always. It helps keep us sane in lock down. Stay safe. Stay healthy. And looking forward to the next one
I can't believe I just came across your video which was great and very useful. I watched until the end!!! I would have won because I love these caneras!!! Darn.
I didn’t see the video-missed it. But I watch your many videos for you and Cara and your positive energy. My camera is an iPhone. Lol!
Well next giveaway I bet there were A LOT more than 4 people :D Also, respect for not canceling it.
Video super useful, pushed me another small step towards getting the EF 50mm with an adapter (thinking about getting a speed booster) for the M50
So thanks.
Also I watched till the very end - it was educational and inspiring :)
Great vibes keep it up
Hey Markus I really appreciate your videos and have learned a lot from you. Please keep 'em coming!
Subscribed. Great video and served to become familiar with some brands unknown to me.
Excellent comparison, and really easy to watch, too. Thank you!
I watched your last video until the end but I also won a little something a few months back and thought I'd let other win.
You're generous and I appreciate everything you do.
Can't believe I missed the give away , I must have gotten pulled away, at the end.
Love your videos.
This was a great video dude. Thanks for the work on this. Really informative and huge amount of test shots to evaluate.
Glad it was helpful!
(will see how long I can go) Thanks for posting and your model is lovely!
hey bro! your mantra should be "Can You Hear Me Now" lol. Love ya channel! you are a GENIUS!! keep up the GREAT WORk!!
Thanks for the great content Markus, don't get discouraged, most of us love free stuff but don't need more gear. Thanks for being awesome and greetings from Vegas!
You're in Vegas too?
@@MarkusPix Hey just saw this , sorry for the delay. My family and I just moved down here from Montana last September and we are loving it. Hope you and yours are healthy and staying safe in these crazy times and thanks again fro all the great content!
I watched it to the end too. Not a Canon guy. Panasonic and Nikon for me. I wouldn't use either of the cameras you gave away. I hope someone that really wanted to use them, got them.
People were busy with covid at that point. At least, here in NYC. Also, you maybe should include the classic aps kit lens, the Canon 18-55.
Just to let you know, we do indeed watching all of your video ;)
thanks again for posting, and God this 50 does look incredible.
Thank you Markus for your videos, always interesting - keep on doing such videos !
Hi Will. The power setting varies depending on the situtation
I watch your videos because they are entertaining and I learn. That is my win!
Awesome video. I have the Canon M50 and only have the 14-45mm kit lens. I've only ever looked at Canon lenses, good to know there are other options out there.
*15-45
I have that sigma 16mm f1.4 for sony and love it. It's just as sharp as my Sony 16-55 f2.8 G
I’m gonna take a look at the Kamlam lens, thanks for the review Markus😊😊
Version 2 is much better than version 1
This was so helpful! Thank you Markus :) going to grab the 22mm for my m100
Yes that's a great lens
I have achieved several photos with blurry backgrounds for close-up shots with this lens. Even at 30 to 45 mm.
EXCELLENT review thank you so much!
This video just made my day. Thanks for the help. Just earned a subscriber.
Welcome!
Hi. Nice to find another fan of the EF-M system! Pity I didn’t find your channel a video before (I’d have said M3, fwiw!) 😬
just found your channel, i have had the M50 since january, been getting some great pics with it, i got it with the 15-45 and 55-200 kit lenses, i then got the sigma 100-400 the M50 is perfet as it gives me two cameras in one, i can put it in my handbag with the 22mm instead of a body blank and put the 55-200 and or the 15-45 in my bag when i just out and about not specifically going to a shoot.
if i'm going out looking for wild life like foxes and birds then i take my 100-400 and the 15-45 incase i need a wide.
the one thing that is missing is a native m-m mount x2 converter i have the ef x2 but i'd like an m-m x2 for the small size too.
i have also gotten x5 macro with the sigma 100-400 with 2 x2 coverters and s 25mm ext tubes
i have the 28mm macro too which is good for quick macro
Gracias por el video. Yo compré un Viltrox 33mm 1.4 y está excelente
