My basil bag comes with the adapter plate on it and it comes with a key. But I dont understand how to lock it, it opens without the key, how do I make it require the key?
I have a MIK compatible rack and bought an adaptor plate but it doesn't fit! MIK is clearly written on my rack but it is too narrow for the adaptor plate. It looks like there are different variants of tje MIK system on the market. Does anybody know more about that? Unfortunately, I cannot find anything about compatibility or variants on the website of MIK...

I have removed the Ortlieb fitting from the base of the pack which leaves me with 4 holes in the base of the pack. What I need to know is whether the holes in the MiK Adapter Plate will line up with these holes and allow me to fit it to them? What are the measurements between the centres of the fixing holes on the MiK Adapter Plate? I've tried the MiK website for this information and I can't find it anywhere so I've no idea if the plate is compatible with an Ortlieb bag. Thank you.
So this guy just demonstrated that the MIK Stick is useless. Unless you can’t reach button I guess. It’s gotta be for people that don’t want to touch the grey button. 🤷🏻♂️

what if i do not have an MIK compatible rack? is it still possible to use the carrier on normal racks?
Yes you would just need a MIK carrier plate that has the same pattern like the rear rack

It would be a MIK! You're all good, all our Model R racks are MIK click rear racks.

yes you would just need a Basil MIK carrier plate, we don't have it on our website due to limited supply but you could order through phone
can the dog buddy and panniers all go on MIK together? Or is Universal system compatible?
