I love Mezase Superlady. Mori-sensei writes the lyrics, which change every year as members graduate and transfer in. He always manages to hit the nail on the head with each member’s verse and just get it right. And, because Mori is evil, he likes to put tongue-twisters in there too to make it harder to sing.
FYI, there is an interview with Mori after the first time he saw the girls as Babymetal perform in concert. I believe it was after a Tokyo Dome performance. Not going to do a spoiler, but he said some things that were surprising and some things that underlined how much he cared for them.
Yeah, saw that and it was great. And the best thing was that I saw it right after a video about the backside of Japan's idol industry how lots of girls are given big hopes but are literally screwed up by the companies so it was really heart warming to hear sensei Mori

It's a buddhist term. Then they say "polish our joshi-ryoku", that one is easy, "joshi" (女子) means "girl" and "ryoku" (力) means "power".
This song changes every year as new girls were added to Sakura Gakuin. Mori Sensei writes the lyrics; and in later years there are some jokes about certain girls not liking what he wrote for them. In one extreme case this resulted in murder. One thing that always strikes me about this version of the song is that Mariri Sugimoto (the very tall and very pretty girl who takes the dangerous journey back to Hiroshima) is actually a year younger than Yui and Moa here. Once again, I urge you to continue all the way with Sakura Gakuin. There is just so much to love and enjoy about all these wonderful young ladies.

Su moved to Tokyo in her second Sakura Gakuin year I think, with her sister (who was also a pretty famous idol) and her mother, but Mariri never moved while in SG, if I remember correctly (she was only one year in SG and graduated before entering middle school). The lyrics change every year because of new members, but even the ones who are already in the group get their lyrics changed almost every year. 2012 was the first Mezase Super Lady, so you can image it only got funnier in the coming years, especially the ones after Moa and Yui graduated because Mori-sensei had way more opportunities and time to get to know the funny and unconventional traits of the members with the weekly show he hosts for them.
As someone else explained, this is their introduction song. They usually perform this as their first song during concerts and it's written by Mori Sensei with a little bit about each member. Since they change members every year, there are 8 versions of this song, one for every year from 2012 to 2019. We expect there to be another version when they release their last album in a few months. There is a massive compilation out there with every verse from every version all mashed into a 21 minute video. It's a great way to learn about almost all of the members. Sadly the first version of this song was made after the first 3 members graduated in 2011.

They're basically saying that a girl's greatest allure are the things she hides just out of sight from others. Japanese people are culturally and almost pathologically two-faced. They have their outer face (called tatemae） which is the face; the appearance that they display to others. And their inner face (called honne), which is what they truly feel inside. Forming a relationship with someone in Japan means getting to know their 'honne' as it's something that's rarely shown to others. Femininity in Japan and being a "lady" means possessing this gap. The ideal Japanese woman possesses an aire of mystery, and therefore an appeal where you want to get to know her. That's basically what they're expressing.

I really want to sign the petition, so I had to go on the internets and search it out because I think Sakura Gakuin is actually a very important thing to continue. Not only because they created Babymetal, but because the morals, standards, and confidence that this school instills in its young ladies is something that is VERY much needed in this day and age. With all the politicalization going on in the schools, I think it is a breath of fresh air to see this school focus solely on developing these young women into the dreams and aspirations they are striving for, but do it in a fun and enjoyable way. These girls work their tails off, but they also seem to really enjoy it at the same time. This school is needed everywhere in my opinion. To shut it down would be a huge mistake.

I agree with you two, Mori-sensei is very funny, i remember having some fun teachers back in my days at school when i was at the age they were in this video, that kind of teacher always stay in your memory XD About traveling from Hiroshima, it is indeed far, Hiroshima is on the south of Japan, and Amuse studios are in Tokyo, that is kind of on the midle between north and south of the country. If i'm not wrong, the trip between Tokyo and Osaka via "Shinkansen", the bullet train, is around 2 hours and 30 minutes, and, in a straight line, Osaka is a bit after halfway from Tokyo to Hiroshima so i think the trip from Hiroshima to Tokyo is probably over 3h, even by shinkansen, and those trains usually move at around 270-320km/h. I'm not sure how it worked for them, how many days of the week they needed to go to Tokyo, as they were also still attending to their regular schools.
Su stayed over in the Amuse dorms quite often, so it wasn’t a daily trip. Still quite a commitment. Once Su’s sister Himeka joined Nogizaka46, Su, Himeka and their Mom moved to the Tokyo area.

The whole line is "watch our girl power", or "see us polish our feminine abilities".
