Yeah, I could shed a tear.
I grew up with cousins who were fans of CR7. They watched Real Madrid religiously and whenever we played FIFA they always chose R. Madrid bc of CR7.
But when I saw Messi I became a fan of him bc of how completely different he was from Cristiano. Messi was not arrogant or showboating. Messi didn’t do freestyle like CR7 did but concentrated on dribbling around defenders making them look like if they were kids. I was only 13 years old when all of this was happening and ever since then Messi became my role model and my idol.
Now I’m 25 and I cried tears of joy when Messi finally won the last trophy to complete his collection.

Yes he said, " it could be today grandma" because she had a major part of who he is today. She was the one who argued with the local coach to give messi a chance to play football which obviously coach didn't want to because of his short height. And the rest is history.
Ps. The celebration of both hands in air after every goal in each match is actually him dedicating the goal to her grandmother

i started of being a fan of cristiano ronaldo and ronaldinho because of their skills back in 2007 however, upon observing messi game by game i knew he was special and quickly became a fan.

Bro I’m from saudi arabia and when we won against messi I was truly happy and sad at the same time bc I have been a fan for him since 2009 and when he won the WC i cried from happiness…following and supporting someone for 15 years and waching him through his journey and achieving what he desired for a long time is really something else.
