I'm in my baby locks stage and I'm really starting to enjoy it more than in the very beginning. It's been 2 months since my establishment and they're changing so much already. Thanks for the great tips! 😀
Marcia M You’re welcome! Thank you for your support! 2 months in! That’s what’s up (: I remember being between the 2-6 month time frame. It was like my hair was changing every 2 weeks!
Thank so much. You radiate beauty and joy. And I your voice is very soothing. It is contagious. 🌺❤️ I am at day 2, love it, growth and volume, please, here come!!! 🙏
Thank you so much! I try to make sure things are clear for everyone. I used to be a teacher lol. I guess that's why I have a certain communication style =)
LOL thank you =) I see you have the UK flag on your comments. I am from the US. I have never heard the term "no waffle" before but I REALLY like it. I am going to start using it. I love when I get comments from the UK. You alls style of English sounds so classy to me. I'm glad you are appreciating the info. I know most of the people watching my videos are 25 and up, grown grown! We don't have time to listen to someone attempt to get to the point for 10 minutes. I respect you alls time.
Nia A thank you for the reply made me laugh & that’s a gift just like your channel. So grateful to you & other youtubers for the wealth of knowledge you pass on without it my locs & journey would have been over a longtime ago. Yes “waffle” or “waffling” is when someone twitters on about nothing, something your not guilty of. 👍🏾🇬🇧
Thank you for posting this! Something I started researching sisterlocks by following Deviny’s Journey too! Comparison can definitely spoil the fun. That includes comparing to my loose natural hair journey because everything was on a whole different time scale in regards to length realization, which shows a lot faster than locs, and texture transformation, which is immediate for new growth unlike the process of locking. Looking at people with locs my length and thinking about my love of loc maintenance and the aesthetic has kept my happy.
Hi Jayla=) I do a lot of comparing my loc journey to my natural hair journey too. I thought I was the only one lol. When I first went natural I saw DRAMATIC change within the first 6 months. I did not see that much change in my sisterlocks after 6 months and it was disappointing for me. Now I am enjoying every stage of my journey and taking things slow.
Thanks so much for the vid! Great advice as usual. 👋🏾 I’m guilty of not appreciating this baby stage. I just want my hair to get longer and fuller...like yesterday. 😂 I will say that I fall in love with my SLocks a little bit more with each shampoo. It’s already changed a lot in just a month. I would like to start a channel but I don’t know where to start. I have one YTer that has baby SL that I adore, JusDenyse.
Danise Phaedra Thank you 😊 . You should definitely start a channel ! Sit down and write down a list of 15 video ideas to get started then just go for it sis! I’m going to follow you now, because I’m speaking into existence that your channel is about to be popping (:
Nia A Hey there! Just wanted to let you know that I finally uploaded my vid: ruclips.net/video/4AhGNujsutY/видео.html. Thanks so much for your encouragement! ❤️
I feel exactly the same...one thing that I’m really proud of is....I never covered up my babies after my installation....I was all in once I made the decision to get my installation 🖤
Thank you for these great tips! Especially about not wearing your hair in stretched styles all the time. I get my sisterlocks established in two weeks and I’m so excited! But I’m also worried about how to style my hair. I’m going to definitely stock up on some cute accessories lol
I started my (2 strand twist with 4 point rotation) loc journey 20 Apr this year with 14" hair I'm budding and am now at shoulder length 😫 it's cool though. I left alot of hair out to keep the volume since my sides are shaved. Loc-ing was the best decision I made. You're beautiful!!
I did my own sister locs and have no grid so my locs are growing at different rates and sizes I have yet to see someone with free parting should I start over?
Lol you can definitely do twist outs when you have baby locs (: I just suggests giving locs a little time between twist outs to allow the locs to shrink up and loc. But definitely enjoy twist outs every now and again Sis (:
That’s a good question. I should of included it in my video. I’ve had my locs for 3 years, so when it comes to what stage of the locking process I’m in, I believe most would say my locs are mature. I see some connect loc stages to length as well. Length wise I would say I’m in the teenage stage.
Thanks for the video. I definitely want to find someone who i can journey with. I’m 6 weeks SL. I’m in the baby stage. It been hard trying to found someone who has the same hair texture as mines. Hopefully my channel will help somebody with my texture find me. But I watch I love to watch Let’s Journey, Farrah Knows, & Abidemi Komolafe (Sisterlocks crush 😍)
Thank you so much. I’m sorry, it’s really hard to remember exactly how much because that was so long ago , but I want to say at least once a week. Now I wash them twice a week.
Question. Do you have a before lock pic? I’m curious the length of your hair before. Considering cutting my hair before sisterlocks to help cut down on the price.
Hey Nia! Thanks for the tips. I am looking into starting this journey and stumbled across your page. We've chatted in the past in that summer class we took together.
Mallory Malone hey Mallory ! I remember you! I hope you are well, and that you find my channel helpful (: Good luck this school year. I feel like we are all going to need it lol.
I am definitely still in the baby stage.. I cannot wait till these babies mature.

Lovely straight to the point information, I’m trying to cram in all your videos your so easy to watch & talk a lot of sense. Not waffle 😊🇬🇧

Danise Phaedra yay !!!! I’m checking it out now (:
I am getting use to my baby loc stage. I like watching "Elle Tee Locs" as a youtuber as well as "Just Aundria" for loc inspiration. Great video.
Tiffany Warren thanks for sharing. I’ve seen Just Audria’s channel, but I’ve never seen Elle Tee Locs. I’ll have to follow her (:
I wish I had taken more pictures of my baby locs also 🤍 awesome video...thanks for sharing 🤍
Casey J thank you for watching (: hindsight is 20/20. Back then I didn’t like my locs, now I look back and see how absolutely gorgeous they were!

I follow Portia too. I love her hair.
Ebony W it’s absolutely stunning! I just dye my hair Jet Black, but I can appreciate those who have experimented with color and nailed it!
Thank so much for the advice, I have a lot of clips and barrettes.
Any time! I am glad the tips were helpful =)
THANK YOU!!
Danielle W you’re welcome (: !!! Thank you for watching and commenting.

How Long do i take to do first retie
You are so helpful
Thank you so much ! That is my goal =)
How long does the baby stage last. I'm not enjoying it.
Your hair is beautiful, it gives me hope when I see hair like yours x
Thank you (: I’m sorry you’re not enjoying your baby stage. I struggled through out mind as well. My hair took about 1 and 1/2 to 2 years to mature.
A RUclipsr I recently found with gorgeous baby locs is called Isoken O
Jaydeekatt thank you for sharing (:
Isoken
Watching this while doing a twist out on my baby locs... oops 🙊 😅
Lol you can definitely do twist outs when you have baby locs (: I just suggests giving locs a little time between twist outs to allow the locs to shrink up and loc. But definitely enjoy twist outs every now and again Sis (:
What stage is your looks in now?

Gail McClure thank you for your support (:
I so enjoy your channel! How often did you end up washing your hair after your consultant suggested that you wash more often?
Thank you so much. I’m sorry, it’s really hard to remember exactly how much because that was so long ago , but I want to say at least once a week. Now I wash them twice a week.

Hi =) I have several pictures of my hair before I started my locs in this video ruclips.net/video/-RNMPPSJlXA/видео.html

Mallory Malone hey Mallory ! I remember you! I hope you are well, and that you find my channel helpful (:
Good luck this school year. I feel like we are all going to need it lol.
How many locks do you have
I’ve never been able to finish counting all of them. I have close to 500.
Your locs are beautiful. Are they hard to maintain due to them being small? New friend here
Thank you so much!!! Maintaining them is very time consuming.
What’s the difference between baby locs and sister locs?
Baby Locs are any locs that haven’t matured yet.
Hi do you use a leave in conditioner after you shampoo
I didn’t with my baby locs, now I use Dr. Locs leave in spray after washes most of the time.
@@Niaimani92 I'm in the first stages of my micro locks what's the best way to go about using product
What rotation was used on your hair and whT hair type are you?
Ally J hi Ally! A 4 point rotation was used, and I have 4c hair.

Let's Journey is the move! She is one of the few people who documented every single step of her loc journey until her loss were mature.
