When Duncan asked Theo, "Where do your feelings show up, in your body?" and he said in my chest and in my tear ducts. Theo, SAY I DON'T KNOW MAN !! Damn that was funny
I can already say that this is the best podcast I've ever seen. I've been in a major depression and this just showed me some light at the end of the neverending tunnel.
I had an awful day at work today, I'm a travel nurse and been away from my family for 5 days in a different town delivering babies. I have one more to go before I get to go home and see my family. I was feeling stressed, anxious, exhausted and unloved. Theo and Duncan, watching your two beautiful souls interact made me feel loved and and part of something beautiful once again and I'm crying right now as I type this. I just wanted to thank you both for sharing this. Duncan has been my long time favorite Podcaster and I've just been getting into Theo this past year. This hit just right. And Theo, we saw you in Nashville at Zanies not too long ago and you had us laughing so hard we were crying. We were sitting to the left against the wall not too far from the stage. Thank you both for bringing so much joy to my life ♡ gang gang
We need this regularly. Once a month at least. Theo and Duncan have crazy good chemistry in the weirdest and best kind of way. They seem to understand each other even though this is the first conversation they have had.
Ashley Stokes I also enjoy Duncan’s mind and his ability to express things. Discovered Duncan and Theo from the Joe Rogan podcasts and I’m glad I did. There are some wonderful ideas being shared, great conversations being had.
These are two of the funniest yet humble and down to earth comedians in the podcast scene. There are other funny people but too many big egos, these two genuinely seem like good and nice people

On the topic of the most essential jobs being paid the least, I worked as a 911 paramedic in Orlando and made about $12/hour. The last month or so I've been at a job in a hospital where I push patients around in their beds all day and make closer to $20/hour. Granted, I worked for a private ambulance company, it would've been a little better in a fire department, but trained and certified EMTs starting at 9 bucks an hour is criminal. I know full-time EMTs who responded to the Pulse shooting who are on food stamps. But we stay in the job because we are passionate people, and proud of what we do, so we get taken advantage of and work 60-80 hour weeks to make ends meet because we are exempt from all kinds of labor laws as emergency workers. The longest shift I did was 96 hours in a row, catching naps here and there between calls. A good buddy quit to go work at a 7/11 and said he got paid better and treated better by the management.
@Madji Of Cimmeria seems logical, actually. Big Healthcare keeps EMT pay low to encourage people to get jobs at bars in order to feed people booze that ends up in a trip to the hospital. The EMT is a pawn to shuffle more customers into the hospital, customers who came from alcohol use... Nah, I'm just on a conspiracy kick thank to Bill Burr. In all seriousness EMTs and firefighters are grossly underpaid. Nurses too.
9.00? I was making that as the AV geek, technically an employee of the state in college 1986. Plus it supports my conspiracy theory. I'll type it in below. If you feel like reading it, could you weigh in with a score ranging from 0 = "Nah..." and 10 - "You nailed it." Here goes: In some cities, the city EMTs respond to calls but they call a private ambulance service for transport if someone needs to go to the hospital. Those private companies bill $2000 for a two-mile ride, with no equipment hooked up for monitoring or IVs started or anything like that. The private company pays a flat fee to the city for the right to do as many transports as they can manage, and bill whatever they can. To summarize: the EMTs decide, the private firm profits. That strikes me as a set-up for a system in which EMTs request transports unnecessarily because the private company rewards them with some of the cash that eventually rolls in from Medicare or from the transported person's bank account i.e., the old kickie-bickie. Does that happen IRL?
Yep. Here in California min wage is $11 an hour. I got my associates degree last year in addiction studies and I became a drug and alcohol counselor for teens. They started me out at $13 an hour. They said after 2 years you would become certified and then be able to make $15 an hour. And it doesn't get much better. It was a 42 unit program, I graduated with 70 units instead of 60. I quit after 4 months and went back to my state custodial job making $22. That field and many others like it make no sense to go to college for. Unless you're 70 and retired and really want to help people....or you still live at home with your parents and have no kids or debt you can do it. Otherwise, it's not doable as a career. It's too expensive to be altruistic in your career

haha the best part of the podcast 45:54 -the face duncan makes is priceless could not have asked for a better guest, these guys click so well, theo von has a way better imagination on philosophy and consciousness then joe rogan, who almost always makes these kinds of discussions a joke at the end or ends up making ideas fit his own views
There's a certain amount of pretension in Joe "epidemiological study" Rogan that isn't neutralized by his occasional drift into self-deprecation. Theo is raw, almost innocent.
Amazing episode. You guys really seem to click in a way where you make each other better together than either alone, at least in terms of having this type of thoughtful, collaborative discussion. Theo, you crushed it with this one, man. I haven't been along for the ride very long, having started only pretty recently to follow this show and your comedy in general, but I just wanted to say how much I admire the way you approach these conversations. You really engage with your guests and show a level of care and interest for what they have to say/think, and you seem quite naturally moved by an earnestness and humility that comes along all too rarely in life for many. I had a sense that Duncan was really vibe-ing this as well, as he seemed more at-ease and self-assured than he otherwise might engaging with someone who can't or won't get on the level and get into some real human shit. Anyways thanks for doing what you do. Keep it up. I'll keep tuning in.
I feel like Duncan touched on something that’s applicable to my life when he spoke about living in your head. I used to be a professional athlete (dream job) due to injuries, sponsorship and other life complications I had to walk away from it and ended up in a office job. I think since then I’m far less happier and I overthink more than I ever have in my life before.
Whoa, just heard that part where he calls Duncan the Jimmy Buffett of the future, a peaceful character taking people on a beautiful adventure, mixed with George Orwell. Sounds like Theo planted the seed for the Midnight Gospel. A "terrifying hybrid" indeed.
Theo and Duncan?!?!? CLICK. Refreshing to see Duncan being able to ACTUALLY talk and get into his theories and information he knows. Opposed to Rogan constantly trying to deviate him from certain topics through bad jokes lol. Tbis comversqtion was very intelligent and curious
Theo and Duncan are both two extremely just uniquely good people that make the world a little better just having them on it. So to find this episode where this much awesome collides. Fuck yes.

Funny listening to Duncan talk about faking work during an 8hr. day while I'm doing exactly that.
Where were u working
Arby’s
Watched this old one after the new drop. Both fire. Amazing chemistry between you two gents
THANK YOU SO MUCH. This talking starting from 19 minutes about feelings and stuff for real extremely helped me
I want Duncan as my dad.
He'd be a badass uncle too bruh, the type of uncle you'd hang out with on the regular
"Game of fries"
'Lord of the Fries' was just as good. 😂
Great name
I feel like Duncan touched on something that’s applicable to my life when he spoke about living in your head. I used to be a professional athlete (dream job) due to injuries, sponsorship and other life complications I had to walk away from it and ended up in a office job. I think since then I’m far less happier and I overthink more than I ever have in my life before.
I feel you man. I feel you.
I overthink just about everything. Causes anxiety for sure
this is the conversation I needed. thank you all.
Cheeseburger in Oceania 😆👍
Theo and Duncan?!?!? CLICK.
Refreshing to see Duncan being able to ACTUALLY talk and get into his theories and information he knows. Opposed to Rogan constantly trying to deviate him from certain topics through bad jokes lol.
Tbis comversqtion was very intelligent and curious
Oh man that is so dead on accurate!
Will Sasso busting into TFAtK studio with w/ Chris Delia at 1:16:55
Do you have a timestamp for the Delia scream?
No but it’s 5-6 minutes after the timestamp above

I love this episode so much I've watched it like 5 times this month (and in total about 20 times probably)
Theo and Duncan are both two extremely just uniquely good people that make the world a little better just having them on it. So to find this episode where this much awesome collides. Fuck yes.
i just received 9000 brain xp from this podcast
WhatsBellow Oh yea Fast Food is so fucking hard. Failed to mention the QUALIFICATIONS needed to work said job. Lol Fucking hilarious. Just another doomsday socialist piece of shit. Theo knows better. He's got sense he's from the south.
i dont really see the point you are trying to make with this comment.
Let his name speak for itself.
Dude, Game of Fries is a show I would watch.
Jennifer Zangre same
Bruh must see tv
Oh shit I clicked on this so fast. Two great men.
So nice too hear from some unique and positive minds. Definitely beats the negative sickly mindset I’m exposed to all day at work.
So wonderful how authentic every interaction w these 2 are
I was on a trussell binge and now this!
49:45 Duncan- “He threw a senior citizen into a ditch fire?” 😂😂😂😂

I love how theo came up with sharecropping to describe what duncan calls cultivation
Theo just blows Duncans mind with that Buffet/Orwell combo .. haha & inside DC Trussel is thinking "impressive, most impressive"
