I've felt so sorry for all the very nice people from the US, who've had to "account" for Trump. No wonder they started telling us, they were Canadians to avoid that conversation!
Mary from Tennesee and Kamal from Ankara are not really responsible for Trump's and Erdogan's actions! They just want to meet new people 🥰

Cuba and North Korea have nothing to do with them not welcoming Americans. In fact, Cuba would very much like Americans to visit - they are friendly are welcoming people. It is the *US GOVERNMENT* that bans its citizens from visiting these. Incidentally, so-called "authoritarian" countries like Russia, China, Iran, etc., their citizens can travel anywhere they liked, their governments aren't restricting their right to travel, even to "enemy" countries. So I can let you figure out between them and the US, who is worse.

I’m american and live and work in Saudi, and have for years. All areas I’ve been to have had positive attitudes towards Americans, and the US embassy offers cultural exchange programs with my university. The dress code is very relaxed at this point too, though it’s best to be respectful. I’m guessing there could still be some remote areas that are less friendly to visitors but I’ve been all over the northern, eastern and western areas of the country, and now live in Riyadh. Americans are perfectly welcome here in my experience.

I have visited 2 of these countries, and I have lived as an expat in Saudi Arabia. I have to say the rate of crime there is not existing, and I really feel safer than in the U.S. Last week someone broke into my place and stole all our ski gear. When we lived in Saudi, I never locked my home. In one occasion, we went on vacation for two weeks and we didn't lock our home because I couldn’t find the house keys. We left the door unlocked, and nothing happened. Hard to believe,
Saudi Arabia it is very nice place. The people is nice and the labor market for Americans is highly rewarded.

We never tried it but when my late husband and I lived in San Diego, we heard that some Americans would cross the Mexican border, drive to Tijuana, park their car at the TJ airport, buy an airline ticket on the spot to fly to Mexico City. From Mexico Ciy they would then buy a ticket to fly to Cuba. Landing in Havana they would be given a choice of whether to have their passport stamped. People would say no and walk right out of the airport. Then they would do everything in reverse to go back to the states and no one would be the wiser.

The rules in Bhutan changed drastically recently, after the country opened after the pandemic. Now these $250 daily DO NOT cover anything. One has to pay for transportation, accommodation, food and tours on top of that fee. That makes traveling to the country an absolute taboo for a traveler on the budget. Spiritual pilgrimage became a thing for the thick wallets only, yet again!
I totally agree with other viewers that besides Bhutan, all other countries mentioned do not worth the trip at the moment. There are a lot of exiting places to go to beyond this list.

You should go to Iran. It's one of the great ancient civilisations with amazing history, culture, architecture, etc. And Iran is completely safe. It is IRANIANS who should fear travelling to the US, both because of the US government and just because US cities are rife with crime. Americans (or any other Westerner) going to Iran will not have any problems. Stop using the Western media as your reference point which are safe/dangerous countries. It is very often the EXACT OPPOSITE of what they tell you. E.g., there are few countries I can think of that is safer to go to than China. No crime. No one will take your stuff even if you casually leave it unattended. Police don't even carry guns. I bet people who only listen to Western media won't know this.

I followed their strict rules in adhering to their strict clothing guidelines for women and had no problems. I shopped and dined freely without any difficulty at all. I couldn’t drive there at the time so I hired taxis while out or had someone drive the car I had access to from a friend, a Saudi national from Egypt. We would be stopped at nights while out and about because I stood out as an obvious Westerner. Most of how I interacted with in SA were Saudi nationals. The Saudi women were friendly and polite, the Saudi men seemed reserved and strict, yet respectful, polite and mannerly. As long as you don’t cross the line and honor the laws and customs of SA, all is well. That’s just my opinion.❤

@@astridtikal9738this is such an unfortunate mind thought, not only there but here as well. There is a word of difference in the elite & leaders of our nations and the majority of people, where most civilians are working class for survival whose only affiliation with government is the young working class in military service, all worldwide working & warriors simply for survival, therefore we are mere usury to those in charge; with for labor or soldiers to fight their wars, planned & started by men in power. Before internet also became government property, I had opportunity to get to know people from around the world who don’t differ from me & mine, although we are all spoon fed propaganda. I’m old now so remember when schools taught any male who chose could grow up to president & female child could grow up to be a movie star, which were our role models. Fortunately, we chose to speak truth to new generations ie: to be a president one must first be at least a millionaire so most born into wealth made best candidates, especially relatives in the business . As for movie start, who were very talented actors, young now don’t have any to aspire to be like since American people don’t require political candidates to even know the true state of the nation, simply satisfied with preferred entertainment. Therefore many Hollywood actors, the most talented still acting, relocated to DC as voters accept debates made from what was once tabloid gossip lol. No I don’t like it, but am an elder disposable citizen now retired so I prefer old movies with quality actors over Reality tv and learned to avoid Entertainment News: although this elder election has an occasional cute commercial haha. Not that I don’t care about our nation, but I still have morals & honesty, which cost me grocery money greatly, leaving little for food. So yes, I laugh from one side of my mouth while the other eats just enough to look forward to some day weighing triple digits again, although as a retired taxpayer still paying taxes on my little house & car, those boxes of frozen steaks seen on tv are as large as I dare to fantasize about haha. WoW I have seen much changes in my lifetime, so GBU all & may God bless America again, if He’s ever invited back, even just to school. I’m already looking forward to relocating to His home, where I will never hunger or feel pain again. Since eternity lasts longer than my aching body has been here & I’m short now, being completely honest. Sure, there are places to get free food, but I’m not able to stand in line behind the young & healthy & don’t want to go begging bc I always worked for my needs or did without as an adult. After bills & utilities, I share what’s left of my SSD with InstaCart to deliver supplies since I haven’t been able to see to drive since last March, although I’m still paying monthly insurance premiums on my car I will likely have to buy a battery for, reup license, inspection & taxes plus interest on IF I get able to drive again. I might have outstayed my welcome in this world; sure seems haha. GBU all & really put back a bankfull of cash in case you become disabled bc you’ll need it! My gender is F and race is C bc it what our grandfather taught us to mark, although he was Cherokee and grandmother was Apache, making my Dad also 100% Native American. Made me E for exhausted, but was & am obedient. Rant over. Stay safe. ~
