That’s just fuckin perfect, You can fix any bad T joint design with some cut off fuel line and a generic T fitting from ebay or even the local hardware store! Thanks, I didn’t even think about this! I have a bandit 1200 with bad t joint and they come with this stupid looking seal that they charge a lot for, I can’t imagine 2 pieces of fuel line would cost that much haha. And it’s basically the same idea, Just stick em in and press fit. Thank you for making this video really.
isn't it amazing how many things suddenly go wrong the moment you stick a camera on to video it.!.....larfed meself silly when you said you almost stabbed yourself in the eye lol ........My Missus did that last week when putting up her plastic greenhouse . Nearly had to take her down the Hospital. Shes so stubborn ...wouldn't ask me for any help Good tip about the xs400 gaskets for BS34 carbs . Thats a crazy angle on the tangs of the plastic floats . looks like the float needles were the wrong length maybe. Having the tang at that extreme angle pushes the float needle to one side of the float valve chamber and makes the needle valve bind which can also cause flooding or fuel starvation. Cannot believe I missed those £30 carbs I'm always looking on ebay. that was an absolute steal
haha yeah not only did I just miss my eye once, I did it twice! And when I was taking the rubber coating off the T piece, I used a scalpel knife which ended up sticking out the end of my finger! I watch eBay more or less every single day, just search xs650, UK only and newly listed. They were actually £33 with £8 delivery

Probably better to spec with gasket off, but it's all good, cheers 🍻
Are the float heights 27 for an 81 special?
If your floats are plastic the float level would be 22mm + or - 1mm Brass ones are 27mm
@@OldBiker thanks
What do you recommend for a starting point for my air/fuel screws? I drilled out the factory brass plugs to clean them!
@@Jaysqualityparts Ive read 2 & 1/2 turns
