Oh, dear ...... it's not the gear, it's the ability to use what you have to the best advantage. Check out the Picture Post box brownie challenge, in 1951 Beert Hardy, a well known British documentary photographer was challenged by a reader to take his pictures using the sort of equipment available to the ordinary person ..... and believe me, in 1951 the UK was still dirt poor, with widespread rationing of food and clothing still in effect after the 18939-45 war ..... you went on a waiting list, maybe for years, to buy electrical gear, get a telephone in your house or to buy a car, He accepted the challenge, took a box brownie to the seaside and got a famous cover shot from the excursion ....... we all want new gear, but it doesn't make us better photographers ...... like a new guitar will never make me a better player .... use what you can afford, concentrate on your technique, hopefully sell some pictures ........ and take it from there.
Try the E-series? The X-E1 or X-E2 are really cheap to get. They are not the newest. But damn they are good, portable and fun! Get yourself a manual focus lens and you can get a very enjoyable camerakit for not much money. Well not as much as the X100V. I would love to own one. But I would go for the E-series every time... Go check it out here on RUclips. If you want to get exited about cheap gear to enjoy...I really can recommend Chris Orange here on YT. And maybe...someone feels your pain and buys it for you...the 100V...:)
I'm a working photographer, I use a Nikon D3 (£250 off ebay) only 12 mp , bigger and better will not make you a better photographer. I like to think I can get the image I want with any camera . Good luck.
The funniest clip I have seen concerning this topic, was from a photographer who made a video on why he chose the "Leica Q2" over "Fuji X100V". The Leica, that model, costs over 5000 Euros, where I live, I just thought it was the funniest thing ever, I am not even hating on the dude haha but, lol.
@@andrepoon it's really symptomatic of our time and video platform. Most of them do that, "it's about me", only few master the subjects they're talking about.
fill the aplication and get on the line, probably million+ people are on the same situation. we just have to wait 3 years more so we can buy it for less tha 1000US $
I feel your pain, and selfishly hug my X100V all the tighter. Having come up through the ranks of X100 cameras though I can say that earlier models still remain a compelling option. If you aren't shooting manic-fast kids or action, then the earlier models can handle most situations - either through zone focus in street photography or just simply taking your time in portait shooting. The first model the X100 actually has the best colour engine for its JPEGs I think, with Astia and Provia having a look that they never quite recaptured in later editions. The X100S has the most filmic sensor, having shared it with the X-Pro1, and it really is a sort of 16mp sweet-spot. The X100T introduces Classic Chrome which is a great film simulation, and has Wi-Fi for the first time allowing you to transfer images straight to your phone. The X100F is the first with a joystick and the great Acros film simulation, though images aren't quite as sharp with the increase to 24mp. Despite its age the X100 is still worth getting - it still has a great lens and the design is only a little different from the new one. Just make sure its firmware updates are installed which make it a faster camera! All the best and a nicem thoughtful video!
@@daniellefernandes8423 Ahh, yes, they are good to have no doubt! Best of luck in getting one and in deciding the dreaded eternal question that has bedevilled the race of man for so long... silver or black? Happy shooting out there!
I have an X100v… and now I want a Leica Q2… but I can’t afford it.
Welcome to life!
Lol feel your pain. Have you considered a older iteration of the x100 series? I have the OG and have been quite satisfied.
Yeah I have. I really want the weather sealing and the flip screen for the lower hip shooting

Buy a X100S or X100T. Maybe the X-E1

I really just want the x100v because of weather sealing and the flip screen.
I’ll just have to wait for my time
