I’m a veteran rider in Delaware. Primary bike is my gunmetal gray RE Classic 350. Has 4400 backroad miles. Hard to explain why I’m so smitten. I’ve always had far older far bigger bikes. This one… makes me appreciate the ride more. It really is a smile maker and very enjoyable to do the maintenance. Ride for hours, no fatigue. Well broken-in exhaust note… hair raising. Insurance pretty much free and gets close to 90mpg. Extremely reliable. Great build quality. Paid for!! Oh, and it’s easy to move around in the garage.
I was at the dealership on Sunday morning here in Mexico City. I had been wanting to buy the Interceptor for a couple of years, but I felt a bit intimidated by its size and weight. I thought the Classic 350 would feel like a toy, but when I got on it, I fell in love with how good it feels. Being only 1.66 meters tall and weighing 62 kg, I was able to handle it perfectly. There’s something about these Royal Enfields that just captures you. I’ll have it for my birthday next April! Great video
We're about the same exact size! The Classic is such a fun and forgiving bike. What a wonderful birthday present to give yourself. Which color will you get?
Everything is correct my friend. You need to give yourself good gifts for your birthday! I will be 60 years old in February 2025. My wife said to me, "Vlad, what do you want for your anniversary?" I answered, "Royal Enfield". She said, "But you already have a new Yamaha 250 Serow". I said, "Then think of something and leave me alone". And how do you think it all ended? I have a new burgundy "Royal Enfield Bullet 350" in my garage!!! I love my wife very much. She is so good! Russian wives love their men very much and try for us..... 😁
Hi, I have two bikes for commuting into London one is a Triumph T120 Ace and a RE Classic 350 bronze chrome. I love the RE Classic so much I was thinking of selling the Triumph and buying another RE 350. Great comfort great fuel economy and the amount of great comments I get from members of the public when at traffic lights is brilliant. Royal Enfield are producing great bikes at a great price. Safe riding, The shift work rider.
@@Mike-j9q8z Thanks Mike! I'll be looking for a second Classic 350 this next year I think. I'm looking for it to be my "dual-sport" Classic for off pavement adventures.
How's the road been? I need to install the decat exhaust this weekend, got all the electrics in this past weekend. Then I need to go for some shake down riding.
In the US. So the Classic 350 is/was my first bike. I love it. The only times I wish it had more power is when I am on some of these hilly 55mph roads outside of my city. It just struggles a tiny bit on those hills at speed. But for 95% of my riding it's been perfect. No need for anything extra. So really I want a bigger bike as a second bike for when I want to ride out of the city, but the Classic 350 is perfectly suited as my main bike.
Hey. Hi from Australia. I'm 61 and picked up a RE Hunter to commute to work and see if I still like riding after a break of a few years. (I do, a lot). Just picked up a Himalayan 450 last week. Great versatile bike. Love it.
Hi! Found out about your channel from Forgotten Motorcycles channel. I have a 2022 Himalayan. Want a Bear 650 and a Classic 350 in Bronze Brown or Red. Love where you're at. Lived in AZ for 9.5 years (Prescott, Scottsdale, and Green Valley). Currently live in Cedar Rapids, IA. Subscribed.
Great video, I also have the Indian / RE Classic 350 combo and I recently moved to Tucson. Love the RE as a second bike and the route up Mt Lemmon is amazing. I like the look of the RE Bear 650 for some mild off road options
That's awesome to hear! I like the Bear too, although it might be a bit tall for me. I'm hoping we get one in locally to sit on or that the RE test ride truck comes through soon. That said, I own an Interceptor too and love it.
Love my Classic 350. I previously owned a Genuine G400. If you want something more fun to ride, check out the G400. Both are retro styled small displacement singles, but it's amazing just how different the ride is. The RE350 is very refined and loves a nice cruise on a country road. The G400 is a lot more fun to ride and feels like it wants to take on some terrain. I might even prefer to the Himalayan because it is so light weight.
Wow, thanks for sharing that. I hadn't heard of Genuine before, but I do know the Honda is based on. That's super cool. With me owning an Interceptor already it might be a little redundant for me to pick up a Genuine, but I do like it.
@@thegilamonsterridesit’s a Chinese rebadged Shineray 400 based on the old Honda twinport single. There are many rebadged version in Europe. Mash being one example. I had the Herald Classic 400 variant in UK
My main ride is a H.D. 883 Iron but I wanted a second lighter bike for winter so I tested the Classic 350 and loved it but opted for the Hunter variant instead as it was a lighter bike and seemed a more spunky ride to me. I've added a few mods to turn it into a scrambler style and it rides so well. Very light and peppy. Love the J series engine and I feel at one with the bike on every ride. Got my eye on the Classic signals one too and my stable will be complete lol
My main bike is a 1980 GSX750L that was built for drag racing back in the 80s, then used as a street fighter in the 90s and 2000s. About a decade ago I got it off a friend who really needed a new bike instead of a cranky old retired racehorse. I then rehabbed it into a muscle-cruiser and while huge levels of fun, it was only really fun for a very short time. 'Zero to jail in 4.3 seconds' aptly describes the riding experience. I've been looking for a smaller, less moody, bike for a while, but nothing struck my fancy. Then my wife gets a Vespa 150S in a trade deal and decides to learn to ride. I start using it for errands because it's just so easy to jump on and go compared to The Beast, which means I need a smaller bike for sure now. I honestly wanted my first bike from my youth back. 1978 GS550, I called it 'The Anvil' because you could hammer on it all day long and it was ready for more in the morning. But even not so good examples were close to 5 grand. I payed $550 for my 550 back in the 90s, $5000 for a bike that may or may not be reliable was hard to swallow and so I kept looking. Until I found the Classic350. From the very start I was wishing it were a Classic411 instead, but my wife has correctly made me promise to leave the engine intact until it is out of warranty. 2 years in and the wife now rides a Meteor350 with the Vespa as her 'little bike'. It has been a year and a half since the fuel tank was even put on my old Suzuki, I have felt no need for the larger bike and absolutely love my Classic. For those interested in mods, it is a Stealth Black with... Military bags, sump plate, Classic500 solo springer seat, TC Bros LaneSplitter bars, rear cargo rack, heel-toe shifter, homebrew intake plate, 'nissbird' 8000rpm tachometer (Tripper is in a box in case I want it), 8 piece grill style light guards, fully debadged with all OEM badging replaced by duplicates in black-on-black or black reflective custom cut vinyl. Plus other black on black vinyl add-ons to make it a pseudo-Signals 'Night-Ops' look.
Wow, that sounds like an awesome custom 350! Would love to see it. Hopefully before spring I'll have my 410 kit on my Classic if that'll help you in your decision to do it or not.
Some of the REs look nice, but I dont see ever buying one. Max speed of 71 MPH. Freeways around me gave a 70 MPH speed limit. Wouldn't be able to safely pass, and with just a single cylinder, would be vibrating so uncomfortably at that speed to not make it pleasurable. Good headwind and a hill and you're struggling to keep up with 60 MPH. 0-60 of over 16 seconds. Sounds like frustration, not fun. I like to go fast, this is the opposite. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. My current sport tourer is a perfect all around bike for me and the only 2nd bike for me would maybe be a beater track bike. Not this.

5'5" lol. I'm sure I could manage the Bear. Depends on the seat width at the front.

Your handlebars' cable extension needed?
No, they could be shortened actually.
Are those handle bars upgraded? They look like flat track bars?
They're Norman Hyde M-bars (replicas).
