YOU ARE A PERSON WHO LIKES TO LIVE WITH COMMON SENSE - YOU USE YOUR EYES, EARS AND ULTIMATELY THE HEART - GOOD JOB PADDY 👍😉 AND ENJOY THE TIMES IN VIETNAM👍🧡
The commentary as you're on the bike the next morning 😂 We stayed in bed half the day, I have no idea how you managed that. So nice to meet you, Paddy! Thanks again for the mics, and best of luck on your trip!
After several Vietnam trips, I have to agree that Phong-Nha national park is my favorite place in Vietnam. The scenery is incredible, it's the ideal place to scooter around, I even drove straight to the border of Laos. Also the Dark Cave is a really nice experience, where you zipline into a cave. I also did a 2 day trek to sleep inside the 2nd largest cave in the world (Hang En cave). Phong-Nha will forever be in my heart. Definitely check out Oxalis Adventure or Jungle Boss tours if you wanna do a trekking there. If I may add another last tip: definitely spend more time in northern Vietnam than in southern. I started in south Vietnam and went up to Hanoi and it all felt underwhelming until I hit central Vietnam and close to north. When I finally arrived in Hanoi I extended my visa for 2 months because there was still so many places in the north I wanted to explore.
Nothing wrong with making comparisons with Thailand. It's interesting to note and hear the differences especially since I live in Thailand and would like to visit Vietnam.
Agreed. In fact we can’t help doing it subconsciously whenever we travel, so might as well compare to fully appreciate both countries. There are bound to be good and bad points in both.
Please do make comparisons. My wife and I are retired and living in Thailand. We lived in America before. It's nice to know the differences, good and bad, between countries. It helps in planning vacation trips and in anticipating what to expect.
I am really liking Vietnam. I really like your unique spin on things Paddy. That egg coffee totally spun my head. Great video, looking forward to more. You tequila beast!
Really enjoying the series so far. Makes me homesick for Hanoi, my favourite city in the world. But fyi there are lots of modern shopping malls in Vietnam but they're not in the Old Quarter which takes up just a fraction of Hanoi. And Vietnam has Circle K as a kind of 7 Eleven. Good luck with the trip.
There’re many 7-eleven convenient stores in Ho Chi Minh city but not anything in Hanoi. Circle-K chain is found easily throughout many parts of Vietnam.
in Vietnam they generally used to wear face mask more than in Thailand, (or any other country in SEA) so if now 10-15%, means that they are back in normal :) that's good!
Great video Paddy! Love your honesty about the egg coffee….perhaps it’s not for everyone but at least you tried it! Bon voyage on your adventure in Vietnam and thanks for sharing this vlog! Cannot wait to watch the next one 😊
Been following Paddy for years and I've been excitedly waiting for this series to begin. I was even more excited to see Tia & Cheveyo on this episode. I started following their channel earlier this year and they've become one of my many favourite travel vloggers to follow.
Your editing and cinematography is absolutely top tier. I've been to Saigon years ago and I think I'd last maybe 30 seconds scootering around there so huge accolades to you for doing that.
I'm flying to Hanoi in 2 weeks before heading to Sapa and then the central regions so loving these videos. Am regretting the prior decision to only go as far south as Hoi An though after the comments about Dalat.
Hiya Paddy, that clip with you dancing getting petrol always cracks me up. Love it. A great introduction to Vietnam. Lovely, you met up with One Pack Wanderers. So lucky you did not get towed. Love how real you are. Great video. Can not wait for more. Have a great week.
Absolutely love that you meet up with One Pack Wanders. Been watching them for about a year (you since budgeteers season 1) and love seeing the vlogger meetups. Can't wait to get back to southeast Asia myself.
Ps. I can't believe you don't like egg coffee. I absolutely loved it. Hell all the coffee in Vietnam was great. Also, I highly recommend stopping at the ruins Mỹ Sơn.
We love Tia, she is always smiling. Excellent comments from them comparing Thailand and Vietnam as we are trying to decide which to visit next. Take care Cathy and Kevs x
Challenges not problems Paddy. You will be fine now you are on the road. Not getting booked/having the Dreamster impounded shows good fortune is on your side. Looking forward to your travels. If they are anything as good as your Thai travels we are in for a treat. Take care and have fun 😀
After HCMC you should consider travelling down through the Mekong Delta to Rach Gia and then along to Hat tien and crossing the border there into Cambodia and through Kep to Delightful Kampot. (You can cross the border with your bike). After that drive up to Phnom Penh and you can then finish your trip in Siem Riep and sell your bike before getting the bus back into Thailand.
Omg I love One Pack Wanderers! Been following then since their Thailand trip. I'm finally here in Thailand because you Paddy and them. Riding the sleeper train right now from Bangkok to Chumphon then taking a ferry to Koh Tao. Thank you both for the motivation to do this!
Glad to see you met up with the one pack wanderers. Have been following them for a while and love their energy 🤩 Always smiling and having the time of their lives it seems 😎 Can’t wait for the next one 😍 Have fun and stay safe, my friend ❤️
Loving it. Don’t know why but these Vietnam vids just weave together so much better. Plus I think you’ve really come into your own as a presenter, not apologising if things go a bit shit. Because, hey, that’s life. And god knows, you’re living it, man. Tip of the hat.
Paddy - if you like iced coffee, you MUST try the Vietnamese iced coffee. Don't worry, it won't have that egg nog stuff in it. If they do it right, it has sweet condensed milk, with Vietnamese ground coffee, with blended fresh coconut. It is SO yummy that I had one every day when I was in Vietnam. Enjoy!!
Cà phê đua, is indeed delicious. The normal iced coffee is also great. I love the Vietnamese robusta coffee though it’s not to everyone’s taste. Just find the usual arabica stuff really anaemic now
I'm reading the comments about how people have been inspired by Paddy D. And yes I have to say the same. Not just bout Paddy although I've been very inspired by his Thailand trip. What a great travel guide! But I also listen to and watch many other podcasters and vloggers and they have changed my life and beliefs in so many ways. I've done things and gone to places I never would have thought of doing or going to without them. What an awesome world we live in! 🙏💖
That's not the original place you had egg coffee and on weekends the street around hoan kiem lake is closed to traffic and the people take over the street from Fri evening to Sunday night. The original egg coffee shop address is : Cafe Giang- 39 Nguyen Huu Huan, Hoan Kiểm . Mr Nguyen was the creator of this egg offer. Suggestion before you plan to visit a place in Vietnam let your followers know a few days before so they can give you their input of things there etc and you can decide things to get on your vlog. Cheers happy travelling days in vn. Msg me in private and I can guide you and share my knowledge of vn
I’ve craved Bun Cha every since having it in Vietnam some years back. I’ve never found anything that comes close even in Vietnamese restaurants here. The smell of the marinated pork being grilled was like something from a cartoon where the character gets a sniff of it and just floats to the source of the smell :-)
So glad to see you in Viet Nam with One Pack Wanderers, who I follow! Dreamy is taking a well-deserved rest. New motorbike? Remey? R.E.M (actual dream cycle) Good luck and have a blast!
Great video I'm enjoying this series as I used to live in Hanoi before moving to Bangkok just before COVID happened!! It's nice to see the old Quarter again and the Vietnamese food and sidewalk, outside the old Quarter of Hanoi is soo beautiful it has soo many lakes and old French architecture!! If anyone is reading I'd definitely recommend exploring outside the tourist parts 👍👍👍
Love it, Paddy. I remember looking for some tunnels in Vietnam in the wrong place with my girlfriend on the back of scooter, we broke down in the middle of nowhere, some old boy who spoke not a word of English, put his foot on my foot rest, told us to sit and pushed us along for about 20mins to get us to a garage, then just left us there and refused to take any money, and he didn’t even smile once, just went about his Bussines helping people. I agree with the Americans, Na Trang was also my least favourite, didn’t even stop there more than a night.
Loving the format of these videos. The right amount of travel and culture and history that I want on my videos. I also can notice youve been in Asia for long. Its cool to see how effortless you adapt to the social structure of brother asian countries.
Ive just arrived back in Thailand after the covid thing hit 2+ years ago so i'm feeling the heat.. And i'm really feeling for you, having to get packed and organised and feeling all hot and hung over!! Plus do the vlogging thing. Obviously you put yourself in that situation, could have got to bed earlier you naughty boy!!. But yeah I do feel for you!! Makes me realise how hard you and other vloggers work to entertain us. So thanks Paddy. Love your vids! Just watching todays vid makes me want to revisit Vietnam. ESpecially as theyve stopped wearing masks!
Haven't finished the video yet, but when you talked about making only one comparison between thailand and Vietnam, and you promised, I was so relieved. As you said, both places should be allowed to stand on their own merits, and I am even more intrigued now that you've defined your lens even more. Thanks for sharing!
The collaboration part, I felt that! All the collabs ppl see are the big youtubers who all live in LA and New York, etc. Which is why people feel obligated to move to those places. I'm so glad you touched on that! Awesome start to series!
Watching both of your channels and now you joined them both, Vietnam is now on the list for next years travel. Paddy how hard is it to have a deeper conversation or ask to film locals out their?
Hey Paddy, I am pretty sure we have all been there with one more than we intended to have the night before!🫣 The fact that you included it in the video is the very reason I like to watch your vlog! You are relatable! Keep up the good work mate!
What's great about Paddy's channel is that you can tell it's honest and real. Alot of RUclipsrs are 'always happy', always smiling or being 'crazy', sticking their tongues our, open mouthed, fake stuff just for the camera. You know when Paddy is happy or not, as we all do.
We like when you get a hangover because you show us the city, clubs and girls 😍😍when you don't get the hangover all we see is road, mountains, motor bikes and buildings 😂😂zzzzz We paddy 24/7 👍👍
Oooo Paddy...we have a rule "Never drink on a school night" ha ha. Having a hangover in the heat must be a nightmare. The old quarter in Hanoi appears to be extremely manic and looks as if it easily sucks you in to its chaos...however, it does look amazing. Great start to your Vietnam adventure 👍
Wow, you met Tia and gang. I followed them from South to North. And you're actually the one who bought them the gadget they can't find in VN. Unfortunately they left without going to Sapa. I like to know more about Sapa.
Hey Paddy, egg coffee isn't anything new. Italian's call it zabaglione al caffe which is a dessert not a drink. Glad you caught up with the One Pack Wanderers. They seem to be a really nice couple. Safe travels and not to get too anxious. I'm sure you are going to have the best time. Cheers, Stef
It’s similar, but with differences in preparation and the addition of condensed milk and robusta coffee. Classic zabaione has Marsala wine. Just like the same three chords in music can come together to make millions of different melodies, so there can be a multitude of variations in food and drink preparation… and not all of them are Italian
i have to say this doyle fellow has great camera work. Bio says hes a teacher, but that could be anything really. Very few youtubers put this much effort into editing. Well done. Us audience reward quality, you'll hit that subscribe milestone long before december for 100k
Hi Paddy, I like your helmet, it's very nice, but if I were you I would take it in white because black attracts heat, that's why you are hot, you can paint it white, it's cheap in Vietnam, have a good trip. Eric
Its going to b Great follow your trip south. One thing, it is exist big malls in Hanoi and vietnam in generall you might not see them yet . . Wish you a great safe run on your bike 👍
Enjoyed the videos so far. Already know you're going to give us a good one paddy. Felt a bit weird knowing you were taking us away from our beloved Thailand but you're doing a fab job! Can't wait to see what's in store. Take care!
Loving the Vietnam exploration so far Paddy. 👌 Oh yes! I second getting Bun Cha before you leave Hanoi (or when you pass through again from up north) its amazing 🤤 & you won’t get it in the central / south. Its like trying to get Chiang Mai’s Khao Soi in Phuket 🤣.
I love when a tourist claims some place is the best in the city when they've been there for about 2 days! haha but keep up the entertainment. Vietnam road trips are amazing.
Been there. Done that. Hahaha. A shot of whisky mixed with a strong cup of coffee and breakfast is the instant cure. It's a good thing you are already a seasoned road-veteran. Really looking forward to the next-level roller-coaster ride of life. Very much looking forward to some of your special historic approach. I think this is going to be a challenging experience. Taking joy as I sit here in my comfortable studio and bask in your rough&ready adventures / our armchair adventures. First class journalism. Thank you, sir. dcb
Fun to see you guys meet up. One pack wanderers are great. Great start to the trip Paddy. Second go pro on the handle bars is cool but the angle was a bit wonky
Haha … what a start to your trip! It always intrigues me as to why when one has responsibilities the next day, has a big night the night before! 🤪 😇 have done it many times. However, having said this, I’m not usually riding off on a road trip on a bike in a new country. 😊 So looking forward to your adventures in Vietnam. Make sure you visit Sapa….and take something warm. We did a home stay and trek in the mountains… highly recommended this. Cannot remember the name as it was about 8 yrs ago, but I guess if you ask around on your arrival someone will point you in the right direction. Keep them coming Paddy, we so look forward to your videos and your infectious personality.💥👌👏
Hi Paddy. I bumped into One Pack Wanderers in Da Nang in May. Lovely, warm, up-beat people. But I didn't get wasted with them. Hey, I found a place in Saigon that restores old Honda Dreams. I'm trying to locate it on a map, thought you'd like to go and have a squiz. Thanks for the great videos and helping to keep me sane since the start of the pandemic when I couldn't travel for 2 years, I did it vicariously through RUclips. Cheers, Simon from Melbourne
Confirming some of what I've been told and thought about TH vs Nam .... ease & infrastructure (TH) vs chaos (Nam). That and legally driving, owning, parking MB is a bit of a turn off. Think I'll stay here, TH. Looking forward to the rest of the 'Nam' series.
🇻🇳 It's time to hit the road... But first let's explore more of this beautiful city ☺️
YOU ARE A PERSON WHO LIKES TO LIVE WITH COMMON SENSE - YOU USE YOUR EYES, EARS AND ULTIMATELY THE HEART - GOOD JOB PADDY 👍😉 AND ENJOY THE TIMES IN VIETNAM👍🧡
Did you learn a little bit of the language, at least a few useful phrases before starting off?
If was me I can't even across the road or riding motorbike.I can't really too busy roads.Hope you a wonderful day in HN.
It wouldn’t be an adventure if you didn’t have challenges along the way… looking forward to watching all your challenges along the way
Why did he keep calling Fur? It's Pho.
The commentary as you're on the bike the next morning 😂 We stayed in bed half the day, I have no idea how you managed that. So nice to meet you, Paddy! Thanks again for the mics, and best of luck on your trip!
Wonderful to have seen you both happy and wasted on tequila 🤣 Hope Korea is treating you both well 😎😎
just told my wife you have a new video out and 5 seconds later there you were on Paddys chanel . LOL
So now we know where the mics came from. That's freaking awesome.
That was awesome! And funny!
Which city was your favorite, Sir? I couldn’t understand your answer during the interview. Thank you.
Agreed!
Agree, as long as you're not putting either country down!
Agreed. In fact we can’t help doing it subconsciously whenever we travel, so might as well compare to fully appreciate both countries. There are bound to be good and bad points in both.

Really excited for this series, Hanoi was my favorite place in Vietnam!
We really enjoyed this episode and super excited for your Vietnam series! 😆 Let’s get hungover together next time 🍻
I am really liking Vietnam. I really like your unique spin on things Paddy. That egg coffee totally spun my head. Great video, looking forward to more. You tequila beast!
Haha 😂 thanks mate
I love your realism attitude about everything. Looking forward to your voyage around Vietnam, you are a brave soul.

Great video Paddy! Love your honesty about the egg coffee….perhaps it’s not for everyone but at least you tried it! Bon voyage on your adventure in Vietnam and thanks for sharing this vlog! Cannot wait to watch the next one 😊
This series might just have inspired me to travel Vietnam by bike one day. Excited for the rest of the episodes!

He did Thailand videos the justice! I always wish he will bring his BEYOND EXCELLENCE cinematography to Vietnam too! It will be blown away!!
I'm flying to Hanoi in 2 weeks before heading to Sapa and then the central regions so loving these videos. Am regretting the prior decision to only go as far south as Hoi An though after the comments about Dalat.

Hell ya
995 Roasted Duck - get the spicy duck soup. Popular soup restaurant on Tao. Thank me later.
Travel safe!
Whoa! You’re in Thailand! Have a blast, Bryan! That’s so cool 😊
@@SelfieStickAdventures Just finished a bowl. So fantastic! I love spicy btw. A well deserved Thank You!
Soooo happy to see Paddy meet One Pack Wanderes!!! 💗🌸💓☀️🌸
Loved Hanoi! Did you go the the French Quarter? A super city to just wonder around in. Never been to a more friendly city.
Glad to see you met up with the one pack wanderers. Have been following them for a while and love their energy 🤩 Always smiling and having the time of their lives it seems 😎
Can’t wait for the next one 😍
Have fun and stay safe, my friend ❤️
Thanks Silje!
Salut Paddy, we agree so much with One Pack Wanderers - Da Lat is awesome! ☺Enjoy Vietnam to the fullest it's really amazing!
I couldn't believe... you ride in Vietnam with out any scratch! 👏👏👏 you are a pro!
Just find the usual arabica stuff really anaemic now
One Pack Wanderers paid a visit? They're one of my favorite channels. Great series thus far too!
Im Thai 🇹🇭 and subscribed. Im following your vdo from Thailand. Hope you enjoy in Vietnam.🇻🇳
I'm reading the comments about how people have been inspired by Paddy D. And yes I have to say the same. Not just bout Paddy although I've been very inspired by his Thailand trip. I've done things and gone to places I never would have thought of doing or going to without them. What an awesome world we live in! 🙏💖
Can't agree on the Egg Coffee. Absolute incredible 🥰
That 'only comparison you did' is a VERY important one, and the reason I recently spend a month in Vietnam instead of Thailand.
Lychees are plenty at this time of the year, and they're cheaper in the North (around $1.5/ a kilo). Get a lot of them for you long trip.
Chin up, Paddy! Blowing you good luck all the way! Loving the series as I want to revisit Vietnam but not having the guts to do so!
I'm so excited for my Hanoi trip next year after watching this video :) Safe travels!

Another super video. Exited for the next. Thanks Paddy. Stay well.
So excited about this series 🫶 We are now backpacking Thailand and soon heading to Vietnam for one month so this is really helpful!! Have fun 💪🏼
PADDY ME BOY!!!!! Just calm down. Things will be okay. Yoou will get through this and be successful. I am backing yuou all the way. Cheers mate.

กำลังมีแผนไปเที่ยวเวียดนามสิ้นปีนี้ จะติดตามทุกตอนครับ
What an ending! Can’t wait for the next video!!!
Hey congratulations for the new bike Enjoy it n good luck
I must admit I had lost interest in your channel recently, but these first videos in Vietnam have me hooked again.
Epic start paddy
Comparisons are fine Paddy, it's how we evaluate things. It's a frame of reference, and many of your viewers are farangs in Thailand.
Hey Paddy how about call the new bike "Lucky" :) cheers mate have a fun trip, love you channel :)
great idea!
Omg did not expect that you meet Tia and Cheveyo in Vietnammm lol I love them so much 🥹🥹
Hey nice to see your video.wtchong ths one light funny..ad egg coffee..very strange feeling😄
Trials, tribulations and a little hang over, sounds challenging!!
We like when you get a hangover because you show us the city, clubs and girls 😍😍when you don't get the

Great video Paddy. Agree with the face mask comment. Wear it if you want too. Me I have never worn one yet. Really like the look of Vietnam.
This trip is definitely on my bucket list awesome!!
i have to say this doyle fellow has great camera work. Bio says hes a teacher, but that could be anything really. Very few youtubers put this much effort into editing. Well done. Us audience reward quality, you'll hit that subscribe milestone long before december for 100k
Appreciate that
Hi Paddy, I like your helmet, it's very nice, but if I were you I would take it in white because black attracts heat, that's why you are hot, you can paint it white, it's cheap in Vietnam, have a good trip. Eric
I enjoy watching your journey, safe travels

Enjoyed the videos so far. Already know you're going to give us a good one paddy. Felt a bit weird knowing you were taking us away from our beloved Thailand but you're doing a fab job! Can't wait to see what's in store. Take care!
Take Care Paddy ♥️
Sort of busy recently and I watch this vlog late today-now.
Be careful on the trip 👌
Great vid. Getting better and better. Very well edited again dude!
Wow Paddy, just wow what I love your videos, keep going man!
Damn, those mics are rly hard to get a hand on!!!! been waiting for 4 months in Norway... Love this series
Nice...Thanks for sharing the amazing trips in Vietnam.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love when a tourist claims some place is the best in the city when they've been there for about 2 days! haha but keep up the entertainment. Vietnam road trips are amazing.
always nice to see your vds bro.
Been there. Done that. Thank you, sir. dcb
haha I might try that remadee next time ;)
Fun to see you guys meet up.
Thanks for the insights Paddy.
The French influence is apparent in the architecture and proliferation of bakeries.
Vietnam is my favourite series of yours. I am watching it for the 3rd time😂
This is awesome, and so are you.
Right on buddy!
😃I am Laughing about you. You are so Funny. Take Care and have a Good Ride Paddy. 🙏
