Thank you for this video. I like your accent. I was trying to place it so I'm glad you told us you're from Hereford.
I've recently gone down the whole London Stadium rabbit hole. I'm not a West Ham fan but I think like everyone i admire their identity and culture and I like to see them doing well.
As a sports fan and a patriotic Brit I am glad we have this kind of stadium in London. I understand the criticism from old West Ham fans but it has to be a good thing that East Londoners can afford reasonably priced EPL season tickets.

" Better than Upton Park" well it is for Away teams and fans rather than playing on that tight pitch with the fans, mainly standing, right on top of the pitch, in an intimidating, hostile atmosphere right in the heart of their community (I know the ethnicity has, dramatically, changed) where the approach to the ground past TheWest Ham Pubs and Clubs was filled with trepidation but now it is like a DAY OUT JOLLY on a wide pitch and the most noise coming from the compact Awat End like Bristol City on Sunday.

Hi have you ever done Olympiastadion tour in Berlin? The stadium is still fitted for athletics inside, and so there are loads of changing rooms (away team for Hertha have to go furthest from the tunnel), and indoor running track where they park the buses on match day! I'd also recommend Mainz, albeit a smaller club, and they have very modern, but nice stadium too! Love your channel! Southampton have a new safe standing section (believe it is like 2nd or 3rd biggest in the country) so I'd defo come down and watch us one day!

      Can’t compare the two.
Completely different in every way. Yeah I enjoyed the close intimidating atmosphere. But, was old and too small for us to grow as a club. Our fan base is far too big for Upton Park. Yes I’d rather a purpose built football stadium of course. But legendary nights have already been made at LS, and I very much doubt we could’ve afforded the players we have and the European seasons/trophy we are enjoying now.
I think we’d still be very average and yo yo-ing between leagues.

A stadium that big will rarely ever be able to be filled for athletics events. The only events that could fill the stadium are the Olympics or World Championships.....which the UK probably won't host for another 40+ years, so I don't see the point in keeping the running track. i still think they should move all athletics to birmingham, in the middle of the country, with good transport links, then say to us (West Ham) we need to give the government an offer to buy the london stadium, and then we can buy it and convert it to a proper ground, i will say this, we have the best walk to a ground, can walk around the park in the summer and sit and enjoy the 1 day of sunshine with the family before going to football, unlike grounds like arsenal, sp"rs or liverpool, where it seems to be train to stadium and then back home again

I still think we will win every game though and i am 71 years old. When we win i forget my pains and aches and toddle off home. Why do we do it? Well blame Daniel Levy for that not West Ham. West Ham were going to buy the stadium outright until he threw his toys out the pram and forced the cancellation of the sale which then ended up with the tenancy agreement we now have. It’s very easy to blame West Ham for all this but it’s factually incorrect and even if it wasn’t are you going to overpay a landlord out the goodness of your own heart for your home when you can negotiate a better deal? Didn’t think so.

The IOC has no say what happens to any Olympic Stadium after the event and to suggest otherwise is rubbish. The LLDC own the stadium not the IOC. West Ham had agreed a deal to buy the stadium, it’s all easily checked with a simple google search but Levy and others forced a cancellation to that agreement. It’s frankly pathetic to blame West Ham for the current situation because politics caused it, West Ham took advantage of the fact they were the only suitor interested in the stadium and why shouldn’t they negotiate the best deal for themselves?

You are a glory fan considering your links and family supporting Hereford, there's no reason for you to support the Manchester reds, however in saying all of this, we are better than them right now so meh.
On the badge, I agree I prefer our previous badge, but if you go back further, the current badge is actually more akin to our heritage, that plus we don't have the castle anymore so doesn't maker complete sense to have it on our badge, also there's some interesting history to the current badge in that the shape of the badge is actually that of the insignia of the last ship, themes ironworks built which I thought was quite interesting. agree on the London thing but we are based in London so meh
Finally just to say, I prefer the experience of the London stadium, I don't get to go very often and only went to UP around 5 times or so and I was in my teens when we played there but equally, it signifies a lot of what I personally dislike about football, the saying goes we sold our soul for a plastic bowl, I think football sold its soul a long time ago, in saying all of this - the LS is decent and while it needs a lot of work still, in 10 - 20 years I'm hopeful it has the potential to be one of the best grounds in the premier league, thank god it doesn't have a cheese room.

Upton Park great for it's time but far far too small and a nightmare to get too.

Drive straight in from a13 and park for free outside houses down the streets or district line straight into Upton park and walk down green street
It was piece of piss and easier than walking 2 miles to new ground with no parking

@@lewisdowsett8390 traffic was grid locked, we come from north Hertfordshire, down the M11, then after grid locked traffic all the way to Upton Park

@ericjohn6470 oh I meant for the people from East London and Essex... plus everything was there like shops stalls pubs etc
At new place you wouldn't even know west ham play there until you get to the ground and pay £9 for a flat pint

Hate the new stadium not the same as Upton Park BG was atmosphere not as good. Say it as it is it's not a football stadium it's an Athletic Stadium. Wrexham ground has a better atmosphere just watching their TV Doc with less fans. Wasn't built to be a football stadium. Bad decision moving.

I was enjoying your film until you started waffling on about why you don't understand why so many of the WHU fans want Moyes out. Can I recommend that you actually turn at the ground when we are playing and try to stay awake as the negative dinosaur bores the fans asleep with his dismal negative style of play and then form a opinion????!!! Moyes has been given £450m to spend on players over the past 4 years, so there is no excuse for his 11 men behind the ball so called tactics .... MOYES OUT!

oooosh 😁 I've been told haha fair enough mate. West Ham have always been in and out of the top flight over the years, but now they're a solid Premier club... I get that's down to more than Moyes, like moving to the new stadium 😊 just an opinion... thanks for watching
