@@hopebroidery I think its the same thing, yes. I got fed up untangling my thread. Yes. I checked. You can just put your hoop on the same way but stitch your design on the opposite side.
Probably, totally. I taught a workshop a few years ago and one of the people helping out at the camp (it was mostly kids! this was a counselor) made a hoop out of like a jar top and just made sure to hold the pieces together pretty tightly. Do it!

What is the name of that cloth material?
It’s just normal fabric I think. Idk the exact title but I embroider and I use any non stretch fabric like denim or similar fabric to a pillowcase
