This is a really good reborn/revenge-plot story with good actors and a storyline that isn’t filled with all the usual tropes (a few but not all). I loved this strong and adamant FL who insisted on her right to choose the one she loved - and this clever and mysterious ML who would do anything for FL. And for once I loved this supporting father (really rare in these stories). It might not be the highest quality and the acting a bit stiff romance-wise, but it is definitely well worth watching.
SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!!
In ancient times, FL is married to the man, the eldest son of the Song family (2ML) she thinks once saved her. But one day she is framed by him and her sister, leading for her to be raped and her entire family, including the man (ML) who really saved her back then, killed. Her husband only used her in order to climb the social ladder. She dies by the hands of her husband, regretting choosing the wrong man to support.
Luckily, FL is somehow reborn. When she wakes up, ML - her real savior and non-biological brother - is sitting at her bedside. She realizes that she has been reborn right after the incident where her sister has her believe that ML caused her fall from a ladder, making her blame the wrong person - and right before being drugged with an aphrodisiac and losing her innocence at a banquet - ultimately leading her to marry the wrong man. This time around, she decides to take her proper revenge and choose the right man to embrace.
But despite her carefulness, she ends up drugged anyway so she has to ask ML to help her “detoxify” - something he reluctantly does since he deeply loves her.
When the imperial edict arrives, she refuses to marry 2ML since she wants to join the family business - something her father fully supports - ruining her sister’s and 2ML’s plans. Soon, FL is caught up in a fight with her step-mother and half-sister, while attracting unwanted attention from the Crown Prince.
Well, this has a happy ending.
