No I get it, I feel you 100%. I'll always love the 90s doll a little more cause... nostalgia and 90s Barbies are my fav. However, I thought the new doll was cute and I was thrilled to see little elements of the older dolls (the fin), makes it even more specail! And thank you so, so much! I prefer the 90s mermaid, i love the simple design and the blue color, and more high quality with removable top and bendable legs The new 2in1 princess and mermaid is cute for play and create many fairytales, but i don't like the print on the tail, it doesn't look like a fish to me, i have the Ken doll and he is so much better in royal prince outfit and the beautiful rainbow Pride tail with an actual fishy scales print Plus i prefer mermaid dolls with sculpted plastic tail, they look more authentic mermaids to me, in fact i can't wait to get the upcoming Barbie Dreamtopia Twinkle Lights Mermaid in beautiful turquise color palette and pearled tail that lights up
You described my sentiments perfectly! The new one is definitely cute too, but I love a mermaid with an actual fish-like tail. Maybe that's why I loved her fin, it's the most simplistic element! I'm incredibly attached to the 90s mermaid and I also believe that the early 00s Mermaid Fantasy series is the best when it comes to tails... Totally realistic mermaid!
I have a beautiful BARBIE, I think it is 2016 MERMAID BARBIE. She is a character from a BARBIE MOVIE. She has a completely plastic tail. But, the bottom part of the tail is flexible plastic. Her top is also plastic. But, it is a cropped top and has a pretty gradient effect. Her tail base lights up when you press a button on her necklace. It has two modes, slow and fast. She has long blonde hair with hot pink streaks. She has a basic barbie face. Bye!!! Love your vids Marnia.
