"Men fell with a look and he is saved by a look, looking to Jesus."
    Absolutely brilliant!
Thanks for this video! This is a reminder that we need to keep ourselves pure from all sin (especially sexual sin) and not think we are too 'high' or 'pure' or 'good' to be immune from falling into sin. If you've fallen into sin, repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness. Turn to Him!

I read the book of Kings, and it hurt reading how King David, a man after God's own heart, fell to sin of adultery. I'm nowhere near the caliber of David, but I too fell to the same sin, and my soul is forever tainted. I hate myself for my sin of fornication. I will never be able to forgive myself...

We all fall. But when we fall just like David we should get right back up and get back on the Path to Peace with God! Through His Son Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ the Salvation of God He is Salvation. By His stripes we are healed. And in Him we can have victory over the entire world including lusts. May God bless you exceedingly abundantly beyond all you see or imagine! P.S. A big help for me was getting rid of things that were offensive to God.

The shame of your sin doesn't go away, neither should it, if we wish to learn, BUT, it IS forgiven. 100% 1 John 1:9 end of story, but that conviction keeps us in our hearts, close to God. Pray my friend. God will answer if you cone humbly and turn from any known evil. 2 Chronicles 7:14

God does take away the shame of our sins otherwise we would never forgive ourselves. The Holy Spirit is what keeps us, guides us and convicts us. It’s the reverence and fear of the Lord that keeps you from sin not shame. It’s your love for him and having a heart to please and worship him.

@@r.skoblicki3556 when I said that, I meant more specifically when you sin the shame is something that stays to remind you that you sinned, but it is forgiven. It keeps us humble. I'm not saying be defeated in attitude, but if you ever feel prideful, that is a good way to remind yourself.

I feel the same way! I think about the same things you did in this video! How did “a man after God’s own heart” fall So far from God’s teachings?! Ego is a big part of it!! He couldn’t even realize what he was doing for a long time! 😰
I failed greatly in my life too in the past. I look back and am in such remorse, “How did I become that way?!”
When I used to believe it was so wrong!
I’m so glad that God brought it to my mind many years so I could repent and realize what I had done!
I’m still so ashamed and have learned a lot about myself and why I did sinful things.
Ego is a main source of David’s sin and anyone’s!
I’m amazed that God wants to forgive any of us!
We are so stupid and our sinful nature is always waiting to get us!
But God reaches out to us eventually, to bring us back to him, and hopefully we will listen to him and repent!

Please pray for me. I deliberately rejected Christ for so long, almost a year. I was a professing Christian for about 1 year, and I walked away with the intention to get saved later, and to just enjoy sin for a little while. I was an apostate and now I am scared that with the amount of light i have been given I might commit the unforgivable sin. My issue is that I don't want to surrender my sin. I know I can't do it without God but I dont want God. I wish I wanted God, but I'm not sure if that feeling is genuine or not. I still love sin and I wish I didnt love my sin, I'm not sure if this feeling is sincere or genuine. I've been praying for God to make me hate my sin, but I'm not sure if those prayers are sincere or genuine. Please pray that my desire for salvation becomes genuine and sincere and that I get saved.

FM Ramento, you need to stop now. Put your mind on things above. There are many Christian men who do NOT look at pornography. Sometimes Satan wants to trick men into thinking everyone does it. There are many who have freedom. You can have it too.
Put on Christ. Think on Christ.

    • @2timothy23
      @2timothy23 5 лет назад +4

FM, you will certainly be in my prayers. But let me go a little further in saying that if you have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ, you must accompany prayer with the action that comes from the freedom in Christ. Romans 6:1-14 are wonderful verses explaining that sin doesn't reign in your body and that you have the power to not yield your body to unrighteousness. How are some of the ways you can do this?
First, you must have a heart of repentance for your sin. Not a worldly sorrow, but a godly sorrow the way it is described in 2 Corinthians 7:9-10. You may know that pornography is sinful and even feel bad that you're sinning in this way, yet you continue to do so because you're not confessing in a Biblical manner to God (1 John 1:9). Confession is more than mere admitting your sin, it is being in agreement with what God says about that sin. God hates it and gives you reasons why it is wicked in His Word. For example, read 1 Corinthians 6:15-20 about fornication (the Greek word is pornea, where we derive the word pornography). Do you agree with what God says about it? Or do you complain about the sin, but secretly love to do it? You need to confess this to the Lord (because He already knows). You need to be brutally open with God and tell him why you do it, why you like it, and why you think He's wrong about it (because at the end of the day when we disobey God, we think His commands are wrong and our way is better).
Second, you need to understand the boundaries God puts around sexual relationships. It is meant for a man and a woman in marriage; notice Hebrews 13:4 says marriage is honourable and the bed undefiled, but whoremongers and adulterers will be judged. Do you understand the pleasures of sex aren't to be enjoyed outside the covenant institution of marriage God began in Genesis 1:24. If you think God's ways are restrictive, then of course you will be a voyeur to every good looking woman you see. A woman's body should be desired (read Song of Solomon 4), but not outside God's boundary of marriage. Your desire outside of that is pure lust to satisfy yourself and doesn't give glory to God. Do you believe and trust that?
Third, are you taking steps to flee lust. Your lusts will make you give in to temptations (James 1:14). If you're looking at porn, then you have access to the internet, other forms of media, or perhaps even printed pictures. Have you done anything to regulate that usage; making an accountable brother in the Lord aware of these problems so you can perhaps take these things out of your presence. Do you turn your head or look down when you see women? Your faith dictates actions, not just complaints. We can certainly cry out to God for help, but He has equipped you with His indwelling Spirit, His Word, and brethren to assist you.
Finally, know that this sin is not conquered overnight. But it is conquered when you realize that you sin against God first and foremost. Read King David's repentant cry in Psalm 51. When you disobey the commands of God, you attack the person of God as well because His commands and His attributes are tied together. When Nathan confronted David about his sin, he told David a very telling thing in 2 Samuel 12:9, which says, "Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon." Notice Nathan equates David's sins with him despising God's commands. Your pornography sin or any sin is an act of despising God's commands. If you know the Lord Jesus Christ, nothing can separate you from God's love (Romans 8:35-39), but that love (as well as your fear) of God should drive you to mortify this sin day by day. Begin today to take steps against pornography; it will not be easy and you may even have weak days, but you have the power through God's Spirit and Word to do so. And I will keep you in my prayers.

FM Ramento , I do not know who you are, and you don’t know who I am. But I want you to know and remember that I am praying for you, so as many other brothers and sisters in Christ. And in times of needs, look up. Our father who is in heaven is holding your hand, looks into your eyes and will say “I love you my son”.

      Eric Smith
There is nothing wrong with just looking at a woman, no man needs to go around with his head down...
We are all responsible for what thoughts we think when we see the opposite sex, no matter what they look like or are dressed.
I can look at a handsome man just to admire his attractiveness, but that doesn’t mean I think anything lustful about him.
If I did, I should learn to control my sinful thoughts on my own.
Just looking at a the opposite sex, as in noticing a person walking along, is not a sin, and it doesn’t mean you’re going to automatically have sexual thoughts if you do.
