Gavin, you need to get that engine given a check-up every 3 months before you end up at the customer and having to retreat because you can't get it started. By the way, how's the missus?
Get Gavin and get it done right. 4 is cold. No fun to get wet when it is that cold. The new logo looks great on the truck. You start a new company or were you bought out? Love your videos mate. Get the service done on the engine. Great engine. Needs care just like the drains you work on. Keep up the great work mate.
Until you get it serviced, could you start the motor it at home to get it warmed up? It might do an easier job starting at job sites. You do a tremendous job of cleaning drains and finding and fixing problems. Love your videos.
Agree the carb need to be pulled and cleaned. Keep a can of carb cleaner handy, give a small spritz into the air cleaner and try to start. Could be water in the petrol, which is condensing on cold days.
@penetratorblockeddrains Gavin I have a suggestion for you. Add a T in the line from the pump to the reel with a valve going back into the tank where you can release the pressure or start without pressure that you can then close. You're a plumber, I know you can do it. 😁😁😁
Gavin we heard your daughter laughing she was having fun with dad👍.i totally love the new wrapping on the truck very nice. Gavin u really need to get your jetter motor serviced badly i hope things go well with it.gavin u did a good job of getting ride of the roooooooots. Happy flushing roooooooots 👍👍👍🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌
In the short-term, maybe run and warm your jetter before you drag the mini reel and hose. Tailgate the reel after you get the supply line hooked up, and run the motor. Then drag the line
Sounds like the jetter battery needs a charge circuit from the truck, or a battery tender wired up to it and plugged in at night. Or one better, a circuit for your tool batteries that the jetter tender is also on, an extension cord pluged into truck just behind driver door.
@@plumbob6449in my experience with small engines the battery is wired to starter, and the engine produces the power required to run, but it does not charge the battery back up once running. His jetter may be different, but it seems to have the same issues about every 6 months or so, slow crank and hard to start, he put the hose free flowing down the drain open and she fired right off when building no pressure.
Hey Mr Rooooots ye better look oot, cause Gavin's aboot 💯 yer capoot👍🏻😂 By the sound of that engine it's near caput, if you don't look after it, then it won't be able to look after you 🤷🏻 (rant over)😂 Have a wonderful weekend Gavin and family ❤
Gavin might I suggest you add a manual pressure vent valve at the machine. Just on outlet from unit piped back to your tank. That way your not running back to hose reel to relieve pressure. You just open valve , start then close valve. .
You could place a shut-off valve on your inlet for the pump so you can't pressurize until the motor is running. It's not ideal but it should work temporarily.
More unsolicited advice: they make magnetic engine block heaters that you could plug in to an extension cord at your house on chilly mornings while you eat your brekkie and warm up the pump before you leave for the first job of the day. I'm not sure if those are available in your climate. Maybe even an electric blanket wrapped around it for an hour would be enough to help it out for the first start.
If you leave the pump off when starting the motor it will start easily then engage the pump. Also if you leave the pump engage when trying to start motor when cold you can run the risk of blowing up the pump.
@@penetratorblockeddrains Here in Canada there are parts that are so cold that they have to use heater for their car battery so it will start in the cold. They would be plugged in when not being used. Luckily I don't live in those areas. LOL

Good job Gavin! If you take care of your equipment it will take care of you. Get that service.
the signage on the truck is fantastic...love it.
I love watching the videos where you use the camera. You can actually see the roots breaking apart!! Hello to Mrs. P and Sweet Pea.

Nice colors and wrap on the truck. Sorry the engine decided to bail out of jealousy.🤣
Havent see you in 2 weeks i though you were no more in you tube i am glad to see you again❤

nice new wrapping looks good Gav noticed the sound in the jetter last few weeks
I love your truck! Love the new name! 🤗🥳😁
Thank you!!
You should put a pressure relief valve right at the reel on the truck ,Oliver has a set up like that
It has one

Not been funny but what it dose need is a solar panel or two fastened to the top of the storage box’s
Would it help if he run the engine for more than 20 mins? Keep the battery charged?

Nice new rap on the truck man it looks good
nice new wrap or paint, looks good. still think you need a Honda on the pump lol

I’ve suggested before to put a drain valve on the side of the pump, so you can bleed the pressure off when the pump doesn’t start
The ute looks awesome
Thanks
Gonna have to keep a can of ether handy.
Root fest #,35 & great wrap ...❤❤❤❤

Gavin why don't you change spark plugs on the pump motor ,
No point in having a snazzy truck if the important equipment doesn't work properly.
Ive noticed on a few videos now that the jetter motor is not starting easily. Please get it serviced. So as it doesnt die like drain addicts one did.
Take it in for maintenance immediately or you will be screwed.
Grab a can of cosby gas. Some folks call it starting fluid. Don't go crazy but it works.
We have 110 in california 😢
just get it serviced gavin......
sounds like the wrapping should have waited till after the service got done
It’s not that simple. They are booked out
Your engine needs a tune up.
Sounded a bit like the starter battery is weak, most likely exacerbated by the cold too.
Hey Gavin hi Mrs P
😎✌️
try some starting fluid aka ether when it's being stubborn

Wouldn’t hurt to rebuild the carb and replace the rubber in the fuel pump. You’re mechanically inclined enough to do it yourself
I’m not mechanical inclined lol
That motor is in urgent need of repair. Don't allow it to let you down on a job Mate.....
Is it legal where you are to use Copper Sulfate in drains to clear roots?
I’m not the Plumbing Police lol

Hahaha it was a few backs. Bloody hot atm
You need a new battery!!!!!!!!!!
Carry a can of ether and buy a jump box. Usa

you need a red engine attached to that machine!
