Dude, I had to come back to this video and let you know that you made my mind up for me and I bought one. This is hands down, the best demonstration of it's capabilities, both in tone and the amazing array of choces you have to work with. I've seen most of the videos on here about this amp and the vast majority sound like a distorted mess. Okay for metal players I guess, but you lay it back and demonstrate real tone and do it with feeling - a rarity these days it seems. Good work Justin - you earned a new fan for your playing and for the Spark amp as well....!

Justin hands down the best demo I've seen of this amp. Of course this is coming from a guy who can make a shovel sound fantastic. Love your music and such a humble down to earth guy. Quite a fan.
This is the best review I've seen yet, especially showing how the amp can show the chords to a song. Most reviews skip that (probably for licensing reasons) but Justin can pull up his own online recordings. I've played guitar for years but haven't listened to enough pedals to know the differences between them. That feature alone seems invaluable for putting together a pedal board for gigs, and sure beats sitting at a guitar store and trying their limited inventory while getting drowned out by other players nearby.
Outstanding demo and just jaw-dropping musicianship. Seriously, some of the best guitar work I've seen in a while and, thankfully, not another metal shred session. Sheesh.
Justin, Like many others have said.....Best demo on the net!! You can just see by your demeanor, facial expressions, and playing that this little amp is alot of fun to play with and adds to ones creativity. Hope you are getting some well deserved royalties. Subscribed!!!
Got a Spark amp too. Had horrible earth humm when I got it, wrote to Spark and got them to send me a power supply with an earth pin. Problem solved. Why they saved 2 cents on adding an earth from the start is beyond me. They must know of the issue as they have had the 3 pin power supplies made. I have also changed the speakers to 30 watt Sony 3 way car speakers. They screw straight in to the cabinet. The Pioneer 3 ways also go straight in. The improvement in the sound is great. You can take the speaker grill off with a blunt knife between the side of the amp case and the grill. It is just held in with velcro. The speakers provided are again a cheap one way speaker with average magnet. The car speakers have the right terminals so you just take the plugs off the original speakers and plug straight onto the new ones. It is a great $50 investment that makes the amp sound a lot richer across the frequencies.
I'm a beginning guitar player, and I'm starting to get pretty good. I recently bought a PRS SE Custom 24-08 Electric Guitar. Now I need an amp to replace the one I borrowed from my son. With so many choices out there, it was so hard to decide. Not anymore, this review really knocked the ball out of the park. I smiled right along with you as you got excited about how you could use the amp. What really sold me on the amp is its ability to assist someone like me who is learning how to play and the ability to explore so much gear that would otherwise be impossible to afford. I will get one of these Spark amps soon, and thank you for your excellent review, Justin. 👍👍👍👍👍
I ordered my Spark about a month ago, and you just got me jazzed all over again.. Thanks! Probably the best review I've seen yet, and I totally enjoyed it... Also, I've never heard of you before and you are a 'great' player... Wish you were local, I'd love to take lessons.. I want to absorb some of your style... It's really really good and way different than mine.. Love it.. So now I and look to see if you have any music for sale, on line lessons, etc... You just gained an instant fan! ~SUBSCRIBED~ (Ditto on wishing I had this when I was starting out.. All we had was a record player and our finger) Thanks again.. You Rock!
Fantastic video and playing! Two years later (May 2022) and I just bought this amp. Hardly used it before selling my current guitar (Maverick SuperStrat) and am now eagerly awaiting delivery of an Ibanez RG421. The things people complained (rightly) about going back a while were the bassy / muddy low end, mains hum and lack of a footswitch. Thankfully these have all been addressed by the addition of an EQ pedal last summer in a firmware upgrade, people getting replacment power cords sent out if they're suffering from the mains hum and the release of a footswitch. Even though I've dabbled on and off with guitars for years sadly had major gaps due to family, work and other commitments. However it's great products, honest reviewers and affordable decent guitars that have got me excited to restart the journey :-)
I bought this amp and all I can say is awesome! It would be great if this amp were also available in a large edition! More memory and more watts and a programmable foot control! I use also an AXE FX III and I playd Boogies, Marshall and Fenders ect. but this little wonder box is just awesome! So please build a big SPARK too! Thanks for the great video!
My, my, my, Justin, I am an old picker and pretty much stay in my own lane and when I saw your surprise and joy when the inspiration lightning struck, I am happy I ordered one. Funny how you lean to the Old Fender tones. The sounds you seem to prefer in the Spark cost me 4k to rep icate. Perfect sag and the unmistakable warmth. I watched this more than once and will again, thank you Justin
A refreshing and inspiring ☺️ demonstration mate which opened up practical examples of what you can achieve with the different amps and pedals. Also had some similar light bulb moments when you were playing with almost the same reaction on your face 😂. First time my ears didn't hurt listening to a review. Helps that you are not computer illiterate too but I really like your soul vibe. I have got one myself already as I liked the Spotify personal playlist chord provision and as a new learner I recognized what an amazing tool which provided me with the information I wanted to progress with your journey. Loving the experiences. Thanks for your review.

This sits next to me and MY chair, for instant gratification, but moves easily too put a mic in front of it and press record. Very versatile and sounds pretty darn good. All in all, it’s a no-brainer. Thanks for the video Justin!!! ✌🏼
I got my spark about a year ago and it's my main go to in the studio now. I also have the bias amp2 and bias fx2 along with the IK multimedia software but the spark covers everything I need to record clips
Finally a review with some good clean/blues tones and not a bunch of high gain nonsense. I mean it's cool that you can click a few buttons and sound like EVH, but that's not why I want one. I'm sold on it though. I live in an apartment and my Hot Rod Deville is just too much for practicing. I have a guitar rig interface that plugs into my computer, but the software sucks and it's just not convenient to use. I can't wait to try this thing out for myself.

I did some research. It's a Little Crow Phoenix. They're out of Australia and that guitar would run you about $1250 usd. I have no idea what shipping would be though.
Sounds really nice, I hope it's more stable than Bias FX (which is the software only version) which fails sometimes during the play and create a harsh noice. Over the years I had so many issues with software from PG. It's a hell if it stops working on stage. I will buy the Spark, but only after a year of enough people show that it works flawless. BTW: This walking throuht the settings it a terrible time eater. You can fool hours and hours with the sound. I like this in the same way, you like you showed in the video. It can gives you endless ideas, but sometime it's a sort of very nice! procastination. I'm not a pro, so this is a part of the way to create soundscapes and it gives me the chance to experiment with stuff I never had the money for.
Cool Guitar loft ! You demoed the heck out of that little Amp. An Amp that a lot of people have trouble evaluating it. But you made it clear that you can have some fun with it an make some worthwhile music and sound effects.

I like what you said about exploring the pedals, this Spark amp really does give you a chance to experiment with pedals you otherwise wouldn’t just go out and buy. I agree this Spark amp is a great tool for players that love to create. I love mine and would recommend it to any guitarist or bassist.
Great vid and lovely playing dude. Watching your surprise at it, made me relive mine. Such a great wee tool for learning to jam for new players s you said. I grew up in the sticks, it's hard to find folk to jam with. You're new and not connected. My gf is upset I didn't get the Pearl edition though 🙄
That amp is too cool! Just ordered one. A Justin Johnson video always energizes my desire to get better at guitar. I appreciate the generosity of your knowledge.
Just purchased this amp and the foot controller. Your video is so helpful. Very good demonstration of changing tones on the amp. I cannot believe how good the tones sound coming out of this amp compared to my katana mkii and an array of expensive pedals. I love this amp so much. It is so easy to change something, then just start playing. I can even change the tone while I play, using the spark foot controller. Liked and subscribed thank you!
They are the coolest Amps ever, and I also wish I had that when I started, but hat was in 1981, and no one heard of a Personal Computer yet. Thats crazy, Makes me feel really old.
It is very cool got a little late. Heard about them 2 years ago but supplies were short. Recently saw them on Sweetwater and pulled the trigger. Love it a new friend lol.
Thanks for this review. I have a Spark on order right now. Can't wait to use it. This is one of the best reviews I have seen and I have seen then all I'm pretty sure. 👍👍

Without a doubt the best and most helpful review I’ve seen on this amp
Great vid and lovely playing dude. Watching your surprise at it, made me relive mine. Such a great wee tool for learning to jam for new players s you said. I grew up in the sticks, it's hard to find folk to jam with. You're new and not connected. My gf is upset I didn't get the Pearl edition though 🙄
That amp is too cool! Just ordered one. A Justin Johnson video always energizes my desire to get better at guitar. I appreciate the generosity of your knowledge.
Awesome demo. Awesome playing as usual. Getting one. I'm sold.
I've been watching you for years Justin glad to see your gaining in popularity and having so much fun in what you love to do....
They are the coolest Amps ever, and I also wish I had that when I started, but hat was in 1981, and no one heard of a Personal Computer yet. Thats crazy, Makes me feel really old.
Nice video Justin , lovin’ my amp too, not to mention the drums that will jam along with you.Keep on Rockin.
Thanks Justin, awesome sound and playing🔥🎶🤘
