If you check the unison options in the 'Global' tab, you'll notice you can change the unison mode for the two WT oscillators. By default, they're both set to 'Linear', which means the detune distribution is, well, linear, the voices are equidistant. But you can also set it to 'Exp', which makes the distribution exponential. Most importantly, there is a 'Super' option, which is halfway between linear and exponential, and if you want to make a supersaw, this is the option to pick, since this is the spread algorithm used in the JP-8000, the synth the supersaw sound comes from
The procedures created in serum can be replicated out to other synths too but this is the best for me to show visually what is happening. 😎 Arps is a good call too.
Makeng the same settings step by step the sound is not so clear and wide I have apollo Twin so not shitty interface... what effect do you use in the background or in serum? I have newest version of serum
Hi Demis, love your tutorials! Question for arpegio where there is no space between notes, can you get away with layering and is it possible to have a full one layer supersaw in Spire like in Serum? thank you.
I have a question about how Serum works. Normally if you are mixing, you side-chain the reverb & delay to the dry signal to obtain a cleaner sound. Does Serum this by itself? And if not, should you use the build-in reverb and delay?
Just a note, the filtering on your distortion isn't doing anything as it is set to "off" - don't believe you would want it on anyways Great tutorial though!
@@demishellen Haha, dropping the comment more for other readers. Really great job otherwise dude, I have a new supersaw template and it fucking rocks socks

That is very helpful indeed mate. Cheers for the insight!
Very good tip, thanks :)
Holy shit, thanks - awesome little tid bit
I just learned more from this comment than the last 3 videos I've watched on designing leads! Thanks!
love the melody you wrote!!! awesome tutorial and fairly easy for beginners like myself to understand
Great to hear dude. Keep up the great work 💪🏽😎
I really like the movement this one gives! I normally don't use Serum for my saws but this one will be great for arpeggio builds!

The arp on this is killer
Thats perfect, thats totally what i am looking for
you are the best man jezzzz i adore you brother
I found your channel in Reddit, subscribed right away. Thanks for the help man.
Nice, great to see you here. 😎🎛
This is gold friend. Thanks...
I've always used Sylenth1. It does pretty much the same if you know what to do.
Wow great tuturial. Is the rhythm a arp or keys? Any chance of Midi?
Nice Demis now I do have serum so cool 👍👍👍👍
Hope I did not make you just buy it. Really goo synth for a more technical sound.
@@demishellen No your ok LOL i already have it :) keep up your great vids ... always watch even if i have not made a comment :)
For trance i think ana2 has a really good sound. Maybe is a my impression. Surely is not so easy to use as serum if i prefer phase plants

Great tutorial!
Serum is a good vst just uses too much CPU i mainly use it for my Basses
It is not always my go to synth but it does have it perks included.
Love it! Also the midi on this would be so instructive!
Good tuturial.make please fore Uplifting lead in serum.thx
No worries Harlam, thanks for tuning in. 😎
Roland JP 8000 - legendary epic trance machine synth for trance music and others with richful sound.
Serum - just simple VST and sounds as plastic.
Is as to compare a rolls royce with a fiat 500...🤣

you can duck the mix knobs on the effects if you wanted to just route it to the envelope
What kinda progression is that idk if its the gated rythm or the key ur in or what
Great tutorial 👍🏻🤩
thanks !
Can I get this MIDI
great video but I would have liked to see the midi in the very beginning so I can follow along with the same notes.
Please make a sound bank for serum thanks
Already on it and also a sound bank for Hive2 and Retrolouge are in the works
Demis Hellen I’m waiting until Friday for the Sylenth1 promo code
I need the notes, that melody sounds awesome!!!
🔥
Wow...Serum has 16 Voice unison per osc?! That's a lot of saws!
It does make up for only having to oscsillators. 👍🏻
🎶🙌
No please, I've been trying to resist getting Serum
Sorry Ardura it is such a good synth :) I got this though using the splice rent to own.
Demis Hellen same here I have serum with rent to own 👋
hey man , i know you from the trance producer forum , just thought to say hi ! xd .
@@abdelrahmangamal4990 👋small world!
Surely you can transfer most of this to sylenth??
Go spire or sylenth1?) like pls
Both my spire and sylenth pack have supersaws too 👍🏻

Haha yes it was some one pointed that out before too. I was testing you all 😉🤣
