Mitfahrt in der Linie 2 von Sieker nach Altenhagen im GTZ8-B der MoBiel

Die Stadtbahnlinie 2 ist die längste Stadtbahnlinie in Bielefeld, welche von MoBiel betrieben wird. Sie verbindet Wohngebiete, Gewerbegebiete und die Altstadt von Bielefeld. Sie Startet an der Wendestation Sieker wo mehrere Buslinien abfahren, dann geht's über das Musikerviertel zur Altstadt. Die Haltestelle Rathaus ist die letzte Station bevor es in den U-bahntunnel geht. Die U-Bahnstationen Jahnplatz und Hauptbahnhof sind die zentralen Umsteigepunkte des Stadtbahnnetzes, an denen kann man zu allen 4 Linien umsteigen, zu vielen Buslinien und am Hbf zum Regional und Fernverkehr umsteigen. Ab der Station Hauptbahnhof verzweigen die Tunnel in die Strecken der Linien. Die Station Beckhausstraße ist die Einzige U-Bahnstation wo nur die Linie 2 hält. Nach dieser geht's dann an die Oberfläche durch ein großes Gewerbegebiet. Besonders ist auf diesem Streckenabschnitt die Station Baumheide, eine offene U-Bahnstation ähnlich der Station Brabeckstraße in Hannover. Dann geht's nach Milse der Ehemaligen Endstation nach Altenhagen. Die Linie 2 ist im 10 Minutentakt unterwegs weswegen die Wagen nie zu voll sind (Samstag). Wir sind im GTZ8-B 5012B mitgefahren, der modernste Typ der Stadtbahnen. Sie sind auf den Linien 2 und 3 unterwegs.

The Stadtbahn Line 2 is the longest tram line in Bielefeld, operated by MoBiel. It connects residential areas, industrial zones, and the old town of Bielefeld. It starts at the turnaround point Sieker, where several bus lines depart, then proceeds through the Music Quarter to the old town. The stop Rathaus is the last station before entering the subway tunnel. The subway stations Jahnplatz and Hauptbahnhof are the central transfer points of the tram network, where passengers can switch to all four lines, numerous bus lines, and at the main station to regional and long-distance trains. From Hauptbahnhof station, the tunnels branch out into the routes of the lines. The station Beckhausstraße is the only subway station where only Line 2 stops. After this, it resurfaces through a large industrial zone. Particularly notable on this stretch is the station Baumheide, an open subway station similar to Brabeckstraße station in Hanover. Then it proceeds to Milse, the former terminus, and continues to Altenhagen. Line 2 operates at a frequency of every 10 minutes, ensuring that the trams are never too crowded (on Saturdays). We rode on the GTZ8-B 5012B, the most modern type of tram. They operate on lines 2 and 3.
