- The Mirocopter SCH-2A had made a big splash at EAA 2022! We had a constant flow of people visiting our booth all week and EAA also took notice. We were interviewed by the AirVenture daily newspaper and the EAA magazine! We also had video interviews with EAA and several other organizations that just loved the Mirocopter. Because the unit we had at the show only had 1/2 flight time on the airframe all we were allowed to do was hover it. People came out in droves just to watch!

I wonder if it flies above ground effects? Looks like this guy has at least succeeded in building a sort of backpack, backyard chopper that so many others have been working on for years. Great job. Thanks for posting

Needs a streamer, maybe a back firing BRS that has a main line affixed to the tail and back before packing.
@@coaxman sir, how to turn left and right mechanical?
@@heiu5258 Foot pedals actuate the rear tail vanes that deflect air in hover and forward flight to give you left and right yaw control.

Is there a kit or plans ? Will a 503 work for power or perhaps a 440 ?

I'd like to see more coaxial helicopters with push props like the one Sikorsky is working on for the US Army.

It is very stable and easier to fly than a regular helicopter. But because it is so light you feel more vibrations

A bolt or screw came off near the exhaust muffler scary! Watch at 2:12 minutes
Yes, we noticed that after we got done with the flight. One of the springs that holds the exhaust on popped off. Luckily I haven't seen that happen since this incident.

Le prix est de 35 000 $ et il s'agit d'un hélicoptère entièrement construit qui est testé en vol avant d'être expédié. Il est construit en Slovénie et est disponible à l'achat. C'est un véritable hélicoptère avec un contrôle total du collectif et du cyclique. Les aubes de gouvernail dans le lacet de commande arrière.

I was searching about the most cheap helicopter and then i found the SCH. But, this is a chair with propellers.
It has everything you need to get you in the air just like a regular helicopter!
@@coaxman to be honest, i don't even have money to buy it. No doubt that is a great helicopter. I found it funny because there was little structure.Congratulations on the machine!

$35 grand? For a 2 stroke lawnmower engine and some pipes.................
It might sound like a lot of money but this is a true helicopter and is the lowest cost production helicopter in the world. The Mirocopter took 12 years to develop and the amount of engineering that went into the rotor head is extensive. That engine produces 62 horsepower in only an 84 lb package. We only got permission to hover it at EAA so you need to check out other videos to show it flying at speed and at altitude.
I hear you but in the world of aviation it’s dirt cheap. Small helicopters used for flight training start around $300,000 new and costs about $500 per hour to rent
