I purchased one in 2007. It was $1500 and a bargain. I would say this is one of the first true powerbook / desktop replacements; and it came in a 12 inch footprint. It is rare combo. Powerful Core2Duo, dual ram slots and ability to fit thick 2.5 inch hard drive (20GB SSD was a factory option LOL), along with descrete GpU. IT was jamm packed: webcam and many USB ports, and yes a dvd player as well. This was my main machine, and a joy to travel with. Battery life was good too. It was easy to keep this machine for a long time with a clear upgrade path (windows 7, 4 gb ram). GPU was good enough for counterstrike at 1080p and some casual games.
This was the "family computer" growing up. I remember being mesmerised by that rotating camera. Eventually around 2013 i got minecraft on it and bricked it sortly later after downloading a sketchy version of MCEdit lol. It was a good computer. Love to find another someday
Very well put, I still have mine in working condition. However, the windows 10 update was slowing down the system, so I opted to install Linux mint on it. It started to work perfect again, even that I have other laptop I keep that one for nostalgia.
certainly! when i saw my unit on ebay in utterly DIRE cosmetic condition for $30, i knew i had to have it and im glad i do! its great to have a really small core 2 duo machine. my inspiron e1505 is far larger

I installed windows 11 on mine and it is able to run direct x 9 and up
I am pretty sure that this laptop would eat my Acer Aspire D150 for lunch lol. :)
