Gulun gongfu refers to one specific person in our lineage, Wu Gulun (dharma name Shi Jiqin). He mastered many skills, including Xinyiba. Note however that there were many Xinyiba practitioners before and after him - he didn't invent it.
Xiao Hong Quan is done in a powerful way with this system of movement. I first saw videos of this with monk Wunang Fang and applied it to my Xao Hong Quan. I've since then applied it to all my kung fu and everyday movements, its a great way to move ones self around in life. Thank you for posting these videos!
Hello i am André from Germany!I love to watch your moves it looks so strong and harmonic I want to learn it too.Since one week I train the "horse stand" my legs becomes so strong it's amazing.I have to visit you guys and learn from you in one year I will come over till than.Greetings from Germany🙏🏼
True. He who wants to master Shaolin Xinyiba must first master: 1. Shaolin Xiao Hong Quan 2. Shaolin Cannon Fist Pao Choi 3. Shaolin Harmony Fist Lui He Quan 4. Shaolin Staff ?
just curious. does he only teach the combat aspects or does he teach a little about using energy to heal others. I have seen some of the videos and is there a reason as to why the mouth is closed? it seems like the principle of xinyiba are similar to taiji.
+daboodeef179 Thanks for your comment! We consider martial arts to be for fighting (Before being standardized for "mass consumption", that's what they were practiced for). Master Hu teaches several Qi methods, but they are not meant for healing others. The principles of most traditional martial arts are quite similar, indeed! Most old styles include a variation of the 6 harmonies theory. Not sure about what exactly you mean with closed mouth. In fighting, the mouth shouldn't be open, and the jaw shouldn't be loose; The lips are pressed together, which also serves as a small protection of the teeth. There are "energetic" and practical reasons to all of those. Let us know if it needs further clarification.
In this video, he is practicing sequences from Chang Hu Xinyimen and some other forms. :) Yes, that form is historically and technically related to Xinyiba (even the name says it: Long guarding/preserving the Xinyi gate)
It is a great video on showing the practicing Xinyiba I really like it. It looks like Xinyiba has a comprehensive skills with systematic levels in one after another. From your website, it shows there are three levels. Advanced level wont be taught with successfully complete the former one. I am just interested in how long does it take to complete the full system for a guy with 3-year Shaolin Kungfu background or equivalent level? How much it will cost in RMB?
+Han Yang Thanks for the comment! It is said to take about 7 years to fully master xinyiba and to be able to use it in a fight without any effort. Currently, we teach the theory openly - it can be applied to all practices, be it taiji, xingyi, shaolin quan, etc... however, we don't teach the xinyiba skill developing exercises to just anyone (only a few xinyiba methods are taught openly). We must first be sure that the student is serious and has good character. The prices can be found on our website, typically 4000 RMB / month everything included.
Amituofo, I'm really interested in learning from Master Hu as when I was at Shaolin Temple I learnt a bit from one of his student. Unfortunately couldn't go to Master Hu seminar in Europe. But if I don't speak Chinese would it be possible to learn as well? is there any translator? thanks
Hello David, there is almost always someone at the school who can translate, and master Hu is really great at communicating and teaching, without speaking much english. If you want to join, or have any other questions, feel free to contact us per e-mail: info@shaolinxinyiba.org
Do you have online class for Xinyiba ?, is it a Qigong form ? , i saw another video that Shaolin Monk Shi de Jian performs Xinyiba Qigong, is this the same or different version? i am very interested in learning Xinyiba Qigong, i have been practicing qigong for 3 years
+F Le Xinyiba includes martial qigong skills. Shi Dejian practiced under our grandmaster, Yang Guiwu, for a few years, but he has mixed what he has learned from him with other things, like what his master Zhang Qinghe taught him. He also practiced Taijiquan and Baguazhang, as well as Dai Xinyi, etc.
Hi Bernard, the standard fee is 4000 RMB (Yuan) per month, that's about 580 USD. That price includes the the training, dormitory fees, water, electricity, meals, etc.
