Aldabra Tortoise, final answer! I believe Brian Barcyzk's tortoise Matilda is an Aldabra if I'm not mistaken, and she's beautiful just like yours. Hope to see you guys at Animal Con next week!
The Yucatan box turtle is a fabulous looking turtle. Those beautiful eyes🥰 I would like more videos on the different Greek tortoises. I have a greek tortoise, she's healthy and wonderful but I can't seem to identify which subspecies of Greek she is.
Hey everyone! We hope you enjoyed this outdoor tour of our place. Please check out our PATREON page and consider becoming a patron. We give these animals everything because they deserve it but it’s intense and every little bit of help counts! Thank you for even thinking about it. 🙏🏻 Link for our patreon: www.patreon.com/gardenstatetortoise As always, thank you! Chris & Casey
February 2023 I decided I wanted a tortoise in my life. My husband was happy with this as long as I did my research and understood what this entails as it hopefully will outlive us and maybe even our son. The forums online can be contradictory and confusing. Your channel has been one of the most useful sources of information. Your passion for the creatures you look after is so obvious from the way you speak about them…. So we now have a Russian and an Eastern Hermann’s!!! 🐢❤🇬🇧
My blood pressure went up 20 points watching you put your hands in the snapping turtle's habitat water. Tortoises are so special. I really enjoy their personalities, and everything about them.
I had no idea you guys had a full on outdoor enclosure that mimics a Florida swamp. The level of love and detail you guys put into everything you do for these beautiful animals is truly remarkable. Cheers from Saint Augustine Beach, FL
Awesomeness!!! Happy Labor Day!!! Some of my current faves are Russians and Hermanns!!! Your property, types of turtles and tortoises and level of dedication is simply amazing!!!
Oooh, I almost missed this and that would have been sad. Great job as always, love how much you and your family love and take such excellent care of these tortoises and turtles. Thank you for taking us along, see you soon!
What a great tour! I'm really impressed with how well you've taken care of all those animals. Those enclosures are wonderful. And Chief Brody - what a difference! He looks great!
These vids are so professionally executed. Very informative. Best I’ve seen thus far in the YT reptile world. From multi-cam angle shots, to crouching down low to the tortoise’s level so the viewers get a glimpse of how these amazing creatures see the world, it really draws you in and amplifies the overall viewing experience in a very positive way. I’m seeing next level stuff here, bar none.
I have a large female peninsula cooter, an adult female reeves, adult female west African side neck, female pink belly side neck, male southern painted, 2 razorback musk, 3 elongateds and 3 redfoots along with other reptiles as well. Turtles/tortoises are my favorite 😍
Hopefully one day we can colab on something. I’d love to come see your place and film it to show how amazing your place is. I believe educational and inspiring videos are key specially inspiring the next generation of keepers is vital. I honestly love what you guys are doing and easily one of my favorite channels. Your conservation efforts are so important specially now I honestly wish more people were helping instead of taking species from the wild or exploiting them for views spreading false information. Just wish more people would help animals and see how important they are. Well keep up the great work I wish you and your family all the best and hope you all have a great day. 🙋♂️✌️
Thanks for the tour. How much property do you have to be able to house so many beautiful creatures? I never thought about there being so many different kinds. I find it so very interesting. 🐢
Wowwwww we just got our baby sulcata turtoise because my husband's been begging we get a turtoise 😆🥰 is been less then a month and im in love with her my daughter named her princess haha.... my husband and i are excited for the coming years with her 🐢🐢🥰
We had a nearby, large pond in New Hampshire that we loved to swim in. My brother, a budding amateur herpetologist, warned us to stay away from the stands of reeds because that's where snapping turtles loved to hang out. Needless to say, he didn't have to tell us twice!
i really appreciate when you include the latin names so i can write them down and learn about a different type of turtle or tortoise every day! also for some reason i expected there to be more outdoor terrapins but im not complaining because wow you have a lot of aquatic turtles😊
It's hard to pick a favorite, but I am biased towards Russian Tortoises as those are the only species I currently keep and would love to see more Russian Tortoise content in the future!
Love your videos and all the education you put out!!!! I just started a meal worm farm and chuncks my box turtle is loving them! My question is how many should I be feeding her?
Can you give an idea of how large these pens are with general dimensions? I hear a lot of how dangerous to cohab turtles and tortoises but I’m sure the normal pet keeper has much smaller pens than you do.
I never knew you guys had reeves I don't think you've ever showed them. How do they do where you are do the lay at all and im guessing they stay out year round but a lot of places say it to cold for them where you are but then also in their native range they go down into the low like in New jersey but there just not to much info on them so im curious because my country is warmer in the cold months but not in the summer. And almost every turtle species that we can get where I live in the country due to bio security is banned from like 6 available not including torts so that leaves 2 and the other can't live outdoors so reeves is what were left with which great as there my fav out of all any way
Friends!
What was your favorite species on this tour and what would you like to see more of in future videos?

@@CliffTheAlien Matilda is in fact an Aldabra 😎
Musk Turtles cause I just got one 😁
I like the big tortoises, such as the Aldabra and the Sulcata. They’re like living tanks, or little dinosaurs.

Thank you 🙏🏻
They ALL look so healthy and happy. It is clear that you are giving them everything they could possibly want to thrive.🖤🇨🇦
I think Garden State Tortoise is so wonderful. I'm glad you helping turtles and tortoises in our great state of New Jersey.

Wow, fantastic tour. Thanks.
Amazing - beautiful. Thanks for sharing! I was hoping I'd get a glimpse of your hingeback.. maybe on the next one? 😊

Mikki the Aldabra is my favorite. She is the prettiest to me. The next one, would be Dixie, the Sulcata. ❤❤❤🐢🐢
Very very cool! you have my dream job lol!!
This has helped me identify the species I came across a few months ago. It was an Eastern box turtle.
I love this video !!!!
Love them all ❤
Beauty! 🐢
What great enclosures you have here
Excellent video 😊
I have a question? What is the difference between turtles, tarapins and tortoises? You guys are such great educators. Thank you.❤❤

Always love your posts I'd like to ask what were the cool fish at the end of the video that looked like some type of goby
Happy turtles 😅
