Hi Peppy Techie! I was wondering could I use the audio recording on HD movie maker pro for Toonly and Doodly projects? The audio recording doesn't have an editing function on their platform. I'm new to this and wanted to give it a try. I don't know about other tools and learning how to use HD Movie Maker Pro by watching your easy to follow videos. Thank you!
If you export your videos, then you can bring them into HD MM and edit your soundtrack, as it does have a narration feature. Are you doing narration only, or adding music too? You can do both. I also recommend a free product called Audacity, which is for audio only, and allows for tons of tracks. You can record, and add all the music and stuff you want then add it in as a music file if you save as MP3 and edit it in HD Movie Maker to match your video stuff. I hope that makes sense. I am going to do a video on how to do that soon! After the holidays. Thank you for you kind comments!!!
Thank you so much for these tutorials! I desperately need the audio editing tutorial you mentioned using audacity and how to get the images I want to have the audio match synch up. Have you done the audacity video and advanced audio editing yet? If so I'm just not finding it. Thanks again!
Hi Peppy Techie! Having never done a video before I am now having to do one on a swedish course I am on (we moved to Sweden a year ago) Your video saved my bacon!! Is there a way of fixing comments to a particular part of the film without everything shunting to the left evertime I change somethin?g. I am presuming I might have to do it with the delay function?
Voice overs in this program can be difficult. You can also do yur recording and editing in a program called Audacity. Then place into HD Movie Maker. This is an easy program to use but does not give a lot of flexibility with voice & music.
Hi - yes the Tutorials are definitely helpful. I'd gotten up to speed in the previous version of Movie Maker, and learning the HD Pro version has been like a completely new software. I am currently trying to edit a video clip and cannot see the sound on a separate track. There is a label for "music track" on the left, but nothing on the track. When I highlight a section, I have no soundtrack editing options. Could you help?
As received from her training and applied from practice, you could use HD movie maker pro to extract sound track from video. Then, mute the video. After that, you use mute video, extracted sound track will be shown in music track.
Thanks for the videos. They are very easy to follow. I'm having trouble with transitions. I have selected "fade" and "Apply effect to all photos" but randomly throughout the final video the transition is lost and one photo just jumps to the next! Any suggestions?
I am new to your channel and thank you so much for your great tutorials. Is there a way to get the music to play correctly on a portion of your video that has been sped up?
This software seems to have completely missed the need for editing the original recorded sound. My new video for RUclips upload have me doing a few sniffs and the odd tongue click, which I want to remove or at least muffle, without trimming away any visual content. It seems daft to have to acquire more software to do this, which may even be a competing video editor. Any recommendations please ?
You are correct Andrew, that this product is limited in it's sound and music editing capabilities. I made a video on free and low cost video editors that offer you more control over music and sound, and they offer easy to use choices for more editing options. ruclips.net/video/Yn9wkE_KyLA/видео.html I hope this helps.

I have just purchased HD Movie Maker Pro today and have no prior experience of it or video editing. I'd bought it to add an image to audio files, the thing is my audio files are on average ninety minutes long, boxes of old audio tapes. When trying to combine the image and audio HDMMP is capping me at twenty minutes so after this point the audio will abruptly stop. How can I extend this to ninety minutes, some of the tapes are actually one hundred minutes long. If I'm capped at twenty minutes I've just wasted money buying software which is of no use to me. Many thanks.

There is a sync button under the main settings. However Im not sure how it works with your complete music. I usually cut it at the end and use fade out for 3-4 sec
