Phab & Freedom in the Air Flying Days - June 17th 2023

- Incredibly excited to finally be able to share with you our first flying day film of the year, from our recent event back in June 20th at Manchester Barton Aerodrome.
This was in partnership with the fantastic charity Freedom in the Air, where club members from Bradford Phab Club, Phab Leeds, I AM Phab Bebington branch, Whalley Junior Phab Club, Spring Into Phab and Chester Adult Phab all joined us for a day of taking to the skies!
Over twenty Phab club members had the opportunity to sit in the pilot seat alongside an instructor from LAC Flying School, whilst their friends got to join them and take a flight as a passenger.
We love being able to put on these events; the confidence and joy it brings to people is just astounding - it really is a once in a lifetime experience.

Oh wow, I remember my school had a 'PHAB ball' in 2006 where all proceeds went to this charity. I'm so glad to see it is still going strong. My passion is aviation and it popped up on my suggested videos. So great to see this. What a wonderful partnership.

@@phabcharity8649 Ah fantastic. It was at Bablake school in Coventry andf by a teacher called Mr Appleby I believe, he was quite elderly in 2006. I'm not even sure he is with us anymore. But he was the person who introduced the event to our school, back then I didn't fully appreciate what this charity is about.
