Love this form factor! The pocket factor is so important with the handhelds I use on a regular basis. The GBA Micro nailed it, and it's nice to see that we're getting some 'clones' that capture the super portable nature of the Micro. After all, "The best handheld is the one you have with you".
I've been wanting a plastic RG280M for while now and now having the RG288XX - it's the perfect substitute with the added ability of playing some PSP- DC and Mario Kart DS as an added bonus and im glad it didn't really need a analog stick, just higher and larger buttons, the Miyoo still didn't fill that void for me though. Lol
For best quality on the anbernic you need to play via retroarch or it looks fuzzy/blury. Also performance becomes better. when you search for games you should pick the ones that have RA on them. For the hdmi you should change the aspect ratio to make it look better. Default aspect ratio often looks bad.
I don't understand anbernic's marketing decision for not adding a stick or two on this and the sp. What's the point in choosing an soc that's capable of running dc and n64 games but can't control most of them?
I purchased both, and I was thinking that I would like the Anbernic more, but that turned out to be false. Unpopular opinion, but I find the Miyoo better. To me the build quality feels a lot better, and the buttons don't make a noise like a rattle snake that the Anbernic does. As pocketable as it is, you would NOT want to walk around with that Anbernic noise in your pocket.
For the Anbernic, there are a few other OS available for the same chipset, and it is expected that those will become available soon. Other reviewers complained that the Miyoo has too dim screen to play in bright environments.
The Miyoo was a huge disappointment. The company relied too much on custom firmware. If you’re waiting for CFW to make something great, then what’s the point of it? Just the kid in a group project that does nothing but expects an A from others that do all the hard work.
CFWs are usually developed for popular devices that sell well and/or have the same chipset as more popular devices, the A30 however is a niche and arguably flawed handheld, plus has different chipset than the Mini.
Another great video my man 😊 To be fair I am a bit bored of these systems they only go up to a certain level before they jerk uncontrollably. I personally use a steam deck that satisfies my retro needs to play of the back
I have both, the Miyoo has more comfortable buttons but the RG28XX are pretty useable even for my shrek fingers lol😂. Adding Knulli to the 28xx added NDS , and I’m having a blast playing CTGP Nitro the Mario Kart rom hack, also many PSP games run just fine.
I have one as well and it's ok. Honestly the triggers are so awful and the buttons so small that I actually ended up shelving it for my trimUI smart. Even though the screen is far worse it's just too uncomfortable. The a30 is dog sh*t
@@ajcics The buttons are quite small on the 28XX but it's no problem for me. I guess it all depends on the gamer. Miyoo doesn't hold a candle to ANBERNIC. ANBERNIC is always one step ahead of Miyoo.
Too mini for my fat thumbs. i love portable, but not that small. I'll take the size up thank you! Good Video though & as usual thank for the Retro Break!
Wasn't too thrilled about the design of the 28XX at first but I liked it more as time went on. When I actually got the 28XX in my hands I really liked the overall design of it. The design of the A30 on the other hand always looked tacky and rushed, it still does. ANBERNIC's RG300X even looks more classy than the A30.

For the Anbernic, you need to select games via the Retroarch folder for them to play correctly.

Facts, game room section doesn’t play games well

I had a *Dingoo a320* over a decade ago.
More recently the *Anbernic RG280M,* but my 40 something year old eyes can't deal with tiny screens anymore.
Miyoo mini plus has the nes dpad and therefore is 🏆
I think RUclips trolling you bro lol... your post has translate to English, when I click it it puts "the" at the beginning 😅
This was really useful comparison video!

I believe a new firmware fix is imminent and Onion OS support will make the Miyoo great.

@@optimalkfrt the Miyoo Mini Plus is argued by some as being a horrible handheld. It was out for awhile and not popular. Only became popular by CFW.

The tech is so awesome now.
Do they come with the games pre-installed on the sd cards?
Yes both came with SD cards with all the games you see in the video
🤘🤘
😁
I will go with anbernic, analog stick unecessary
This is pretty much my viewpoint too. Anything I'd want to play on a portable like this wouldn't utilize analog controls.

I agree! The analog stick screws up the sleek design of the handheld as well making it look tacky.
Thought the same thing too until i tried to play angry birds on rg28xx and it’s unplayable with the dpad
psp?
The 28XX is so much better.

I don't really like the look of either of them, really.
That is how I feel about the Olsen twins.
