I just got my first Firefly a couple months ago and it was the first guitar I've ever purchased that didn't need strobe-tuned. I bought the black and red Les Paul style. The action on it is better than my Gibson Les Paul. Your playing is incredible and sounds fantastic.
It’s crazy how well done some of these “cheap” guitars actually are- I recently bought a DC JR P90 style guitar with a set neck as a project guitar. All it really needed was a setup and good strings and it was good to go. Totally gig worthy, sounds like the Firefly is too. Great job
Good evening, the guitar doesn't look bad at all visually, cheaper brands may need a bit of adjustment including changing the strings. Using the built-in factory tremolo is usually a problem. I prefer not to use it on such guitars. In general, I'm glad that such cheap guitars exist, I have about 10 of them from the SX brand. From linden, alder to mud maple (mostly Stratocaster type). Nice playing again Rich. Guitar didn't sound bad through headphones although a bit noisy. With guitars it's also a feel thing. There are some good cheap guitars out there now unlike when I started out in the late 60's.
Nice features, glad to hear they all add up to a nice playing guitar. I kind of like their take on the head stock shape too. For 170 bucks, you can't go wrong. 😊🤗🤔
I bought the relic strat with the maple neck. I have done nothing other than moisturize the neck and change the strings. I did not mind the pickups at all.

10s will definitely help as some spot work on the frets. Check the shielding in the control cavity too, that might be some of your noise, especially if you’re going to swap out pickups.
The pickups sounds pretty damn good to me. I’ve got the same guitar and the humbucker is pretty close to the SD JB’s in other guitars. But mine are in ash bodies. Maybe that changes things.
I'm getting my second one (firefly) with expectation to mod the sh!t out of, knowing it will have some minor issues. Well worth the effort and minor expense in my mind.
Fireflies are great for modding, but, usually out of the box they're pretty bad. Owned a couple of LP copies, needed a lot of work. Awesome playing as always Rich!
Probably ceramic pick ups. They’re either really super hot or just dead. I got a Harley Benton HSS change the magnets from ceramic now it’s pretty good, but I’m a lefty can’t find any pick guards I like, so I might just order right handed and then just change it to a lefty pick guard and then install that
HAhaha so cute unexpected dog, my cat also broke my guitars string for the first time hahaha, but what worse is I broke 2 of the brand new 10's because of my failure installing it on the EC-256 lol. :D
i thought the issue with microphonic pick ups had been resolved over a year ago? or am i mistaken? i've never purchased anything from guitars garden but am seriously considering pulling the trigger on one of their strats for $169 (which after shipping and tax it will be over $220) still a great deal if everything is up to spec, how long did it take to ship after ordering?
Can you buy these Firefly guitars some where in Europe? Or are they called Jet Guitars over here? On your box there was standing Designed and backed by J... there was a sticker over it, so it could be Jet or something else. Please let me know.

Before fret leveling try tapping them down, I have found this usually solves the issue. Rock On!

Looking at the neck mid-way down (12th) is that neck WIDER or am I just seeing things? Love wider necks and wider string spacing.
Seems like it is a little bit wider, it's a flater radius for sure.

No sales tax, $27 flat rate shipping, takes 7-10 days depending where in the US you are. They usually ship within 3 days after ordering.

I think they are out of stock Firefly does runs of guitars and sometimes only does them once.
