For a moment I thought we were on the fast track to install a bidet as well, until the wife heard you say the water wasn’t heated. That was a quick idea off-ramp for her. 😂

I was looking for a way to pipe in hot water but that’s a project for another day.

My wife has been talking about adding this to our Airstream... I know she'll want one that has warm water, as well. Thank you for showing the steps involved in putting this together.

It would be a bit of plumbing work to get the hot water to on.

I have a Tushy at my sticks and bricks. Best thing ever and my wife also refuses to use it.

Blair never would unless it were heated. Too much plumbing work to do it in the rig.

I’ve had a tushy, with the warm water option in my house, then I got bio bidet 2000 , I had colorectal cancer 18 years ago and the radiation and surgery wrecked the sending unit to the shutoff valve , toilet paper made it worse, but with the 2 different bidet’s and a pelvic floor therapist, yes, there’s really such a thing and if you ever have problems down there, you need to go, see one, trust me. I am so glad that I got to see this video because I’m thinking about getting an airstream and I was wondering the whole time if I could put a tushy on the stool . I can deal with cold water, but with the bio bidet , the same plumbing setup would work, but you’d need an outlet for power, but you’d have heated water and seat and a blow dryer,I don’t know if it would fit and it’s around $400.00 ,but it would be worth it .
I kinda figured as picky as you are about things mechanical , you worked on choppers , I’m glad the guys that worked on the Hueys I rode in were diligent, because not once did the Jesus nut come off

So glad you found this alternative for the RV! I wish it were a factory option on all RVs. Thanks for sharing your insight and recommendations on the medical aspect.

We love the bidet idea for home and the AS. We will definitely check this out.
I can't find your newer video that talked about the special tool for the steps.
I found your post from a year ago about the portable step...HELP!

I have the exact same rig. This is a great idea. Could you put a parts list for your piping modification? For me if I could just rotate the toilet an inch to the right it would make the world of a difference.

    • @ThirteenAdventures
      @ThirteenAdventures  Год назад

We would love to rotate just a bit as well. The parts list is in the video description.

We keep doggie poop bags in the bathroom to throw our tissue in. Especially the when you have more than two wipes requires. We also have the flushable wet wipes that get tossed in the doggie bag then into the bathroom trash bag. TMI but it's the reality.

    • @ThirteenAdventures

We put no toilet paper in our black tank. Similar to you, we throw them all out!

I have a similar model but it has two nozzles - one for the back and one for the front (ladies) and it work just fine.
I think Airstream could have moved that toilet a couple of inches to the right, you are almost sitting in he hallway. I can't imagine what is like sitting on the toilet with the door closed.

It is a little cramped but not terribly so. The wide angle lens doesn’t help the view either.

I own a 2022 27’ GT with hot water on demand butt the water always starts out very cold 🥶 I love the idea of the portability of the Tushy but not with my cold water starts. Maybe summer temps would be better. I agree with your wife. ( does it air dry ? 💨 )
