There will be more? huh, though it was trilogy... got stuck on the silo(?) puzzle because one set of pipes (that you have to walk through) was set too high - even spamming jump+crouch didn't help. Beside that it was smooth sail, but some encounters were nasty
I have to say. Doom 3 Phobos as a Mod Series excues me Game series is hands down so good! Yes i agree the puzzles do hault the game play and story. but WOW! These guys are doing a job well done! oh here is a tip u can hot swap a bit from SSG to combat SG. fire the SSG and then Immedetly switch to combat SG! also i have Into AM gear for years now! there hoodies are comfortable. episode 1 was Great! Imedatly guns blazing, story and ETC. Episode 2 was good but the puzzles man! the fule puzzle is trash NGL. Episode 3 is better Easily! I Strongly recomend this series FR!
Yeah that's the real downside of the Doom 3 modding and mod community.. The release gap between the tools to do any proper modding and the game was so large that people just dropped off.. and there wasn't anything to keep it going like Garry's mod or Counter-Strike, we're a lot of content was created or ported in the meantime.. Plus from the ground up, even before the source code was available there was tools on a more advanced level for Half-Life 2.. it's real shame, in addition to which the removal of a lot of the content that was already there when the game spy, file planet servers got shut down.. still stuff that I used to have that I can't find anymore sadly.
I just recently played through this mod in its entirety for the first time, and I was _really_ surprised. The story completely caught me off guard, I wasn't expecting something closer to Soma than Doom 3 (they even mention the inspiration from Frictional Games in the credits), and the fact that they pulled off that style of story so well is about the highest praise I can give the mod, Soma is one of the best story focused games I've ever played. The gameplay is also so much better than the base game, the level design too, it feels a lot more lived in and less nonsensical. I love Doom 3, but I do still have some issues with it, and this mod fixes all of them and adds so much more to the experience that I didn't know I wanted. I do think the final boss fight could use some major work, because it's way too much, but overall it's easily in the top 3 best mods I've ever played list. Thank you for covering it, it's criminally underrated.

I absolutely loved Doon 2016 and Eternal for something new and just the power fantasy of it all. Doomslayer is just Guts from Berserk with plot power armor on now. But there is something about the darkness claustrophobia and atmosphere of Doom 3 that takes me back.
PNW brother. I'm in "southern" Alaska and the forests are just incredible. I recognise the USA PNW, parts of West Coast Canada and lower Alaska are part of the PNW zone. It's a beautiful region and has some of the most relaxed, wonderful people you could hope to meet in this life

Yeah, my biggest nitpick are the flashbacks as well. Just a tad too jarring maybe? Idk. I remember I got stuck in one for a while simply because I didn't know what I was suppose to be doing at the time. Still, this mod is pretty top tier in quality and I loved the gameplay changes.

Many great fps games and mods were released in a short time. While it might be great for those who love to play them, it can be a disaster for developers. They have a harder / bigger competition, less interest from potential buyers and players.
This game looks especially great with auto-HDR through Special K, which worked without any issues for me. I just finished episode 1 and had a great time with it, can't wait to get through the rest! I watched your previous videos on it but was putting it off, though was looking forward to eventually getting around to it. Definitely glad I picked it up. I wish the devs had a place to donate, but I haven't been able to find a spot after looking through their website and social media, oh well.
RE: needing to own vanilla doom 3 and resurrection of evil, ROE is not on steam. Think it will work if I have doom 3 on steam and ROE on like GOG or something ?

The game has had many updates over the years since you have reviewed it 2 years ago there are new campaigns the one I'm most excited for that's coming out soon is the second Sino Japanese war a front in World War II that almost no games cover also I enjoyed the video have a nice day

I haven't covered either rage or fallout. Also I'm not big into rpgs and never mentioned fallout on this channel before so I'm not sure where me being the fallout guy comes from lol
@@Jarekthegamingdragon Oooff, that's overkill. Classic puzzle is already anoying ( even if I know solution by heath, as I did this sooo many times is point&click adventure games). Adding more layers of complexicty on top of that doesn't sound like fun.

I just finished Doom 3 Phobos from Prologue to Episode 3 and its so awesome mod, but yeah final fight in Episode 3 was too much

ROE is on steam. If you buy doom 3 you get ROE with it.

15:17 - let me guess, it's classic "make 4L useing 3 and 5L buckets", yes ?
The puzzle was much more involved than that. You had to run across the entire map numerous times to complete it.
