MarloSoBalJr yeah they are ignorant. Henry had 66 yards in the first half. Then only got 3 carries in the second. He didn’t get 150+ because the titans got down and their coaches abandoned the run.

Andrew VanOver so a 6’3” 250 running back in the NFL breaking free for a 75 yard run all the way to the house “without being touched” is unimpressive to you? It’s his use of the stiff arm while staying in bounds and turning what is usually a good run for a big back into a touchdown that impressed me enough to have the opinion I have on the run.

Highly suggest rewatching this but focus on the left guard on every play. Saffold is so absurdly dominant; should have been a pro bowler easily. They regularly have lineman blocking two levels every play. And Corey Davis may be the best blocking WR in the league. This is a running machine so good it made Tannehill a hundred million dollars.
Great call! Just did and you're absolutely right. Most of these big plays were run either directly behind big 76 or with him pulling.

Damn, the Titans should have never stopped running King Henry that Championship game. But this season lives rent free in my head. This and 2020. Such fun years to be a Titans fan.
I know this video is about henry, but it is crazy how efficient the titans became with tannehill as their qb.
Mainly due to Henry finally getting consistent carries which opened up the passing lanes thru play action. Tannehill is average at best

Henry is great at using his arms to swipe defenders. Real football players know he’s not a bruising back but more so finesse. Even in these highlights he’s getting talked by 1 defender. To be that big and agile, is incredible.
i think he had the best season by a running back is AD back in 2012. henry was absolutely unstoppable, he probably wouldve had 1700 yards if he didn't miss a game.
I can't stop watching Henry run. He is just BRUTAL.

What amazes me about Derrick Henry is that burst of speed he has for his size even after shaking off a defender. It’s like watching a bunch of kids try and tackle a grown man.
If he has another beast game against the chiefs he would’ve gotten 2k

Still that would’ve definitely benefited the chiefs as well

I don't think even Titans fans saw the AFC title game coming...these plays show you that the most important thing on offense is BLOCKING. This is more a blocking highlight reel than an RB one, tho Henry utilizes his blocking patiently and beautifully...the best downhill runner in the league. But my God, the blocking on these plays is beautiful textbook work. Also loved the use of Henry's stiff arms on inside runs, which you don't see much. Guy's an animal.

Last year, he rly had 4 good games. This year from the opening game to the championship he’s a monster. Also is a class act who only gets better. As a Jets fan I was very happy to see him dethrone the Patriots and I can’t wait to watch his highlights next year

Derrick Henry is a amazing NFL RB.
So funny because he’s huge and it doesn’t look like he’s running fast until you see him running past everyone and see defensive backs who are the fastest players running as fast as they can to catch up to him.
If I was TN coach, I would simply replace my QB with another blocking lineman and direct snap it to Henry every time, that would be my whole offense. He is unstoppable.

Everyone talks about what a beast he is (so true) But I think that he’s an incredibly smart, intuitive back. He always seems to know when to be patient, when to hit it, when to use that deadly stiff arm or when to cut.
I can’t believe that the Titans aren’t willing to give him a good contract!!! He clearly deserves it.
