Any advice for someone starting optometry this month? Also which do you think helps you better with notes...a laptop or an iPad ?
I personally love using both, I use my iPad for handwritten notes and my laptop for active recall flashcards but there are many people who take notes on their laptop! + I have an optom advice video on my channel!

yeah so if you look up universities for optometry (ones with ranks) you should find a list along with its entry requirements. You can still do optometry as a medic and international student but just check to make sure on uni websites.

Not all universities do this, some just wear lab coats.
hi! im interested in doing optometry and was curious as to how you came about the subject, why you chose your uni and how you are enjoying it so far, do you think it is suited to people that have an interest in working in a clinical setting/ with patients but don't think they'll get into med school (like me) , because i think optometry is interesting, but i just wanted your take, from a student perspective :) . thanks for the video, btw, i have never subscribed so quickly to someone 🫶
Hello! I actually wanted to do med for a long time but realised I wanted something more specific. I really thought about what I enjoy and prefer doing in uni and also the benefits after university. There are lots of pros that I found best suited me in optometry such as a work life balance, immense satisfaction from patient interactions and the impact it makes. All of those points etc. It’s not as broad like med. When choosing universities, I looked at the rankings first and then where I want to live in during uni eg a city. Do lots of research before deciding is what I can recommend to anyone before starting a course. It’s just about thinking about future prospects and what best suits your strengths :)

Is optometry hard or in the middle
it’s definitely not easy, I do have a video up on my channel talking about my first year experience and optometry q and a vid. As long as you have passion it shouldnt be too difficult to give up!

I really want to study opt but i m not sure abt this..I hv low vision so i need glasses to see distant objects so wld that be a problm in studying opt?
Hii sorry for the late reply, no it wouldn’t be a problem entirely. You need to wear correction glasses if to do certain tests on patients so you can get accurate results. But overall you’ll be fine! Go for it ❤️
