One thing I appreciate is the amount of effort you put into these videos you can tell by the way you explain things and demonstrate them quality video and info!!
Love the “reversal” of normal thinking, starting the muscle with isolation movements. Also that machine fly form (that’s as far as I’ve watched) is simply a beautiful thing. My impression is that you could optimize even more by doing “short range” work before that “long range” (stretch-mediated) work. For the chest that would be something that gets contractions where the muscle is shortest. The benefits are blood flow and “mind-muscle connection” (neurological); that crampy feeling. This facilitates better getting into the stretched position.
Literally 45 seconds into this video and I am nodding my head and going I'm going to try to remember next chest day I'm doing flies before bench. The benefit of that makes sense in my mind. Can't believe I haven't thought of it before. I'd always prioritized bench for a chest exercise and did the flies afterwards. Can't wait for chest day now.
I patterned my own pec dec work after Eric's. I've also added an "incline" pec dec exercise. This is done by lowering the seat and grabbing the pec dec above the handles. I also bring my elbows in slightly (not too much) as I approach the squeeze. Really works the upper pecs. Some have suggested leaning forward while doing this and it works too if you have enough room on the pec dec.
Thanks for walking us through your routines. Your practical and straight forward explanations as your working out helps to check my proper form! The way you're built has my respect for you!
bro literally today was hopping you’d drop a chest workout since mine doesn’t feel as effective as it used to(just because my body is getting used to it) ig the universe was listening
Nitpick: your 'flat' is very decline 😛 But thank you for emphasizing the importance of the squeezing and not just the stretch! I've incorporated lessons from your older videos so my push workout basically looks like this already, but with myo rep pushdowns and laterals after the pecs
Love the technique but no idea why anyone would do decline press (unless for the joy of it). Studies show you get just as much gains in lower chest from flat and even incline!
Slow and controlled with a nice stretch, use a weight that is not overly heavy so u are comfortable holding for a second in order to directly target each back muscle...ie low row- pull back through the elbows, squeeze and hold for 2 seconds and u will feel those muscles fill with blood and get a crazy pump. Mind muscle connection is difficult for most especially in the back as there are so many muscles working, but in each exercise u are able to focus directly on each muscle, if u have a partner ask them to touch the parts of ur back ur working which in turn will make it easier to connect
I like this guy...but when you're obviously juicing you should say something like this. I have the perfect science based plan that works with this stack of roids. OTHERWISE 99.8% of us will never get his results
casually full stacking a fly machine with that rom is crazy impressive

Don't talk about science based training, Michael Von Winkle will poke you in the larynx 😂

Exactly 👍🏼
And I LOVE doing your version of decline flyes, but unilaterally with a band. It's actually helping me rehab my messed up shoulder really well 😁😁😁😁

Amazing cues and explanations, I agree the stretch on flyes really helps connect with the chest and push through it. Thank you ❤
I wish I knew alot of this in my 20's....I likely would've never needed bilateral shoulder surgeries.
In my 50's, these principles are essential!
Love your content Eric! Thank you! Do you have vids on form que’s for squats deadlifts and other best compound movements?
I've been waiting on this one for a while. Been doing your shoulder routine and loving it.
Babe wake up the goat dropped
Great stuff!!! Thank you Eric!
you're the best man! in every video you look bigger and bigger
Absolutely perfect timing‼️💪🏼
lol! I guess the uploader messed up the title 😂

Great stuff Eric
Love the new YT link pulse at the end. Thats a nice pro looking video all round and you look thick A.F and crushing it as always.
I always be inspired of your workout

Excellent chest workout!
Love your stuff
You’re my fave‼️
My guy is marvelous
Love the last fly variation. I wish I would have watched this video before I did chest today

Great thanks man 💪🏼
I like to use the foam roll as well to get more stretch on certain machines. It’s not the most comfortable but it gets the job done.
Peak, definitely sending this to my friends
Thank you, Sir Eric🙏
More like this. And possibly with the amount of reps/sets per exercise you recommend.
dude, you are about to blow up, eric... go easy on that juice
Right?
perfect timing…🥰
The decline flys look absurd , will definitely try those . 🤙🏼
Bro you are looking absolutely massive lately 🤯🤯

Thank you so much, dear Eric! I love this video format. Please continue.
I wanna see Mike try to push Eric 😂

@@chancepaxton4679 what? Where
What I wanna see is mike van wyke try to say that Eric has a mediocre body lol "because all science based lifters are mediocre"

I was hoping this would be a timeline of your bodybuilding history and progress!
Gorgeousness and gorgeousity
Stretch to me mean The load needs to be at its highest leverage/resistance point when you are in the stretch? Example incline bench single arm curls.
Eric, you getting insanely jacked. Bigger than most pros.
Eric did you actually get sore from the lying bicep curls with Dr. Mike?
Nitpick: your 'flat' is very decline 😛

Love the technique but no idea why anyone would do decline press (unless for the joy of it). Studies show you get just as much gains in lower chest from flat and even incline!
5:00. Not accurate on maximizing stretch. If you lean the DBs slightly away from delts, you get an even deeper stretch (see Jared Feather’s technique)
You know, i get controlling the slow eccentric, but it looks like everything is in slow motion.. and lengthened partials is the new black 😉
When I pre exhaust my chest I can lift hardly any weight on the pressing cos my chest is fried, what do you think gets more mass, pressing or flying?
Love all it bro! Or should I say… Sargent Stretch!
Awesome!
I hope you get the desire to complete again in a year or two.
Mike van wyck: “why are science based lifters so mediocre?”
Eric Janicki: “am i a joke to you?”
If we all had a dollar every time 'stretch' was mentioned 😅
08:45 is that a decline machine press?
When you gonna train with Nick Walker?
12:03 would it not be better with cables?
4-5 sets in each exercise?
Hope Mike doesn’t see that thumbnail. 😂
Watch out for Mike
According to Big Mike, you can’t pre-exhaust a muscle. Protect your neck Eric
Is there a back version of this approach for opening up the Chest but for the back?
