    Hey bud. The protruding 14mm is measured from the top of the preload adjuster nut to the top of the fork cap nut. Not the triple.

    How are your forks holding up, because you put the oil seal in the wrong way. The coil of the seal has to face inwards. And you have to measure the oil height from the top of the inner black tube, Not the outer gold tube. Also pump the damper rod up and down until no more air is in the rod. and then measure the oil height. I hope my comment is of some use to you.

    So I’m watching this and I’m thinking I could do this. If a guy and flip-flops in his garage could do this I totally can. Lol I finally realized I am not taking on that job. That is way too much. So how much do you think it would cost to replace fork seals at a shop?

    • @bikelifecurt5482
      @bikelifecurt5482  Год назад

      I was quoted at $600 by my local motorcycle shop

      @@bikelifecurt5482Holy shit.... 600 dollars. I live in Belfast Northern Ireland and I just recently had my fork seals done and it cost me £140 sterling which is 177.41 in dollars. Brilliant video I enjoyed watching it whilst eating my lunch 😁 Definitely not something I'd tackle myself.
