Just bought one on Wednesday (2004). In complete love 🤩. Gonna take her in for a nice service. She came with a power commander and quick shift. We are taking our time getting acquainted. Love the excitement in your voice as you ride. ZX10R's will definitely do that. Especially with a few add-ons.
John - if you don't mind me giving you a tip - the Gen1 gearboxes don't like QFs. If you are going to leave it on - keep an eye on how the box is working, and try to be sympathetic with it.
I'm about to pick up an 08 clean title no issues looks real nice all black with 19k miles for 4 grand. Hopefully will have her on Monday, so much bike for the money I can't wait
I'd just like to add - the guy in the video gave this bike virtually nothing.. I've got one of these, a 2008 and it really is a terrifying thing to ride on the road.. I've not even red lined it yet. I have been riding a ZX 14 for a few years now, around town, one gear, 2nd all the time. Just bought a KLX 250 for my winters in Baja, been riding it more than the big boy lately, so fun, up and down all six gears, comfortable, great in traffic, 60 miles a gallon, feel like a kid again. There is lot to be said about riding a slow bike fast compared to riding a fast bike slow.

My Gen 1 04 zx10 crushes all bikes I ran up against
Definitely the best
Same situation here.. I ride the 06 though.. 🤙
Anyone have one as a daily rider? I'm getting mine and live in the south now bit never rode her as kick as plan too...
My mate rides his as a daily and loves it . If it fits you it’s fine .
I've had two of them and totally agree if you don't respect it it will kick ya fukin head in but what an amazing raw piece of ballistic engineering it is and dirt cheap now ❤
Yeah I agree the prices are great on these now.
I have a zx10r 2013 and I love mine. I'm a brit but I live in USA and there are a few spots where I can get it up to 160. This bike though is not really good for roads because it's low end power is so so but to experience it's mo strous power you got to be up in the hundreds..anyway I love mine!
Oh yeah, they are extremely uncomfortable
Some of the best roads in the USA for sure ! . I spend a lot of time in California and I still get backache just looking at the Zx10.
Badd ass bike!😎
13inch of terror .
@@JonnyLeeguitarist 🤣😆😳😵
You need to cover up that speedo the boys in blue could do you at them speeds just a thought excellent vid though 😂
Cheers 😎
Gen 2 D7 ZX10R
Yep 👍
I came here from Facebook and have a gen 1 John Warrington tuned zzr
Thanks for watching mate .. yeah I think John will be doing stuff to mine this year .
@@JonnyLeeguitarist mines a measly gen 1 but even with just a decat it got 10bhp more and after John fiddled with it 187bhp at the wheel and 204bhp at the crank
That’s impressive
@@JonnyLeeguitarist totally different bike it's even more of an animal lifts the front in 2nd and 3rd so easy now it's unreal..
You barely graced the powerband on that thing mate😂
I know .. public road etc etc 😉. Also there’s an incriminating GoPro recording 😎
@@JonnyLeeguitarist Thanks for the upload, I enjoyed the review!
@@nitramh24 thanks for watching I appreciate it
2 years in, still only been up to 9k on mine, it's ridiculous how quick that thing really is. I'm 54 now and I think being older, the brain doesn't compute quickly enough lol.
@@mickydebargos True that😀
Can anyone tell me if a 2008 zx10r is a good bike. I can buy one mint
Get one you’ll love it .. the 08 is awesome
I have a 2004 zx10r, in need of a tank
😎
Sold mine Saturday to switch for an ST1300...the time has come...Im too old for it now..Pan comfort all the way 😢
Great bikes the st1300 I’ve got a few videos on the channel about them .
I got a 2010 zx10r special edition.. rocket!!!
Stunning bikes !
Yeah, i have the special edition as well. Just put up a short video. Went out for a ride Saturday with my friend. He's got a Suzuki 500 two-stroke. Bought my bike new. It now has 11,650 miles. Check out the short video
You need to try a gen1 Zx10r 🤣🤣🤣
I did when they first came out , just as terrifying.. 😜
it's basically the same motor. Same bore and stroke, lower compression. You can take a gen 1 motor and make it behave the same as a 2022 motor. every zx10 generation has the same bore/stroke ratio
Would have been better if you had pulled the throttle back a bit
UK roads and my lack of nuts prevent that 😎
Well love the kicks it gives ya, its just stupid af. I started laughing out loud everytime after speedin on the autobahn
Yeah it’s addictive
My palms are sweating, do I need hospital 😆😄
Yes 😅
That Triton could be a match for the 10. .......................... Until the 10 changes up into 2nd. :-)))))
#RiceBurner vs #OilLeaker
Definitely, it made his day I think 😂
It's obvious isn't it ... Everyone needs a 10 *and* a 14!
Yes they do
Hello guys i have a 250r for 4 years now and im thinking about geting a 09 zx10. Ive never crashed nor have I fallen but i do live on a small island any thoughts?
Buy it !
If you're getting thrown in the seat that means your body position is bad. Bend the elbows and roll the back....
Ok Rossi 😃
@@JonnyLeeguitarist Actually raced two seasons with Honda Racing under the superstock class. So I appreciate the comment noob! 👍
@@abvevo6406 of course you did 😂
Its fast but its not that bad relax u big bby
😂😂😂
2006 10r😂😂😂😂😂😂👍🏽
😎
Turbo charged couch lmao
😂
I hate beginner bikes they ain't fun & faster than a monster bike, im about to jump head first to a zx10r tomorrow, I'll learn more about the bike along the way cus getting a beginner bike sucks, I want a road monster not a kitty bullshyt bike with no speed & power,
Good luck buddy, stay safe and let me know how you get on 😎
Start on a 600 if you’re that confident. Litre bikes don’t play.
Yeah no bro, start on a 600 or maybe a 750. Get some experience under your belt and then jump up to a liter bike. Some people will say you can do it no problem and they’re right but the amount of people I’ve seen jump onto 1000s for their first bikes and then drop them is insane.
@@eddieace345 I had my zx10r for 2 months never had no issues before i got the bike I been studying shifting & rev matching & wheelies shyt easy, I've redlined it twice & hit 180 on the mark, only scared people not confident for liter bikes if you ride properly & know what your doing its easy to learn like I did
@@cameronaasman12 I was to confident for a 600 & 750 I been studying for too long for small stages i got my zx10r & its lit never had problems no one can even tell im a beginner I know about my bike & what it can do its all about confidents,
You should open it up and not play with it and pretend you are going fast
Did you miss the part where I said I was on the public road ?
Bro sounds shook
Yep
Boring... try-out the first generation ZX-10R! 😂
Had one 😉
3rd gen better.
Fawwwwwkinn shartedddddd my fawkinnnn pants mateeeeeeeeeee lmfao
