I love how passionate you are about the actual music and storytelling! Jimin described Face as about being facing himself and it's about his journey through the pandemic. Personal struggles, mental struggles and how much he missed being able to be on stage which he's described as his biggest joy in being an artist. Jimin has always been an incredible performer and dancer and storyteller on stage but he's never quite directly opened up about his own personal struggles extensively through music before. So seeing this vulnerability was very touching to fans as well.

I love your breakdown of Jimin’s album. You have pretty much nailed it. It’s a chronological album of how he dealt with depression and drinking during the pandemic and then finally breaking free. If you ever get the chance to see his documentary on the making of his album, it shows him through the writing process.
Jimin’s vocals are INSANE!! I love his high bright vocals, the breathy or airy vocals and also his lower register and growls!! Jimin is so versatile you never know what you are gonna get but you know it’s going to be so good! You should definitely watch his Set me free and Like Crazy live music videos then check out some of his other songs! I recommend Lie, Serendipity and Filter, Dear Army and Closer than this!
omg that happened!!! I've been watching your videos for quite a long time, went through my yungblud, 1d and etc obsession with you, and now our dearest Jimin! I admire him so much 🥺 (just like the rest of bts, but bias is bias for a reason...) this album punched a hole through my heart when it came out, I still listen to it almost every day, it's rather relatable to me in a certain way. Jimin explained that this album portraits his journey during covid, how he used to enjoy drinking too much and so on to separate himself from thinking about loosing his purpose - to perform on stage - because of COVID restrictions and battling with other problems. Then he started to understand what that's not really having fun, it's just mindless escapism, but still he didn't want to let go of it just yet - a.k.a. like crazy, our escapism hymn. and then in set me free he finally gets through his problems and gets back on the right track, now stronger than before. I really recommend to watch the Inkigayo performance of set me free pt2, it's truly an experience. in the previous two shows he was still getting used to being on his own and performing this song, but in Inkigayo all his hard effort paid off extensively. I really couldn't tear my eyes away. I also think you'd really like his song Lie! It's under the name of bts. and he also has a behind the scenes video for this album on RUclips, it showed the process of him preparing to perform these songs really well.
Nice!! I’m so glad to see you diving into more bts! Jimin said this EP chronologically shows his life throughout the pandemic. He drifted apart from some close friends (Face-off), was drinking too much for a while, thinking he was fine and having fun and only realising afterwards that he was struggling (Like Crazy), struggled a lot with loneliness and forced isolation during quarantine periods, and finally faced himself and found inner strength to get through everything. There’s also a hidden track which I highly recommend, it’s only on the physical CD and youtube, called “Letter” (or “Dear.ARMY”, there are two titles.) It’s very very beautiful and features Jungkook’s background vocals. If you’re interested, a fascinating conversation between Jimin and RM was released recently with the two of them talking about “Right Place, Wrong Person”. Jimin also briefly mentions FACE in there, it might be cool for you to get to know them both better :) Very much looking forward to your discography listens

Great review. When I first heard this album I loved set me free pt 2 and face off the most, but now alone is my favorite track. The only thing wrong with this EP is that it isn't longer. We need a full album.
also on the albums physical CD there is a hidden (unlisted) track to the fans called Letter(Dear. ARMY). BTS has done this a couple of times before on their albums( Path and SEA, and then two skits).
I'll remember the day he dropped Set Me Free pt. 2 being in this fandom for 10 years I know the weight of it.. the gravity of the song knocked me off my feet. He has a complex personality and Face represents it perfectly.

I love what you picked up from this, this really was him dealing with how he was feeling during covid and his self-journey, it's truly an exquisite first album. I'm sure others have mentioned that just very recently they released a chat between RM and Jimin where they discuss mostly RMs latest album but also a bit about what Jimin was going through working on his and commonalities. I think you'd really enjoy it. All the members but Jin have at least one album (either EP or LP). Jin didn't have time to make one before he enlisted, but we are excited that he returns in under 2 weeks, so he will probably have one by late 2024, or early 2025. (He did release an amazing song called The Astronaut as he way to say "I'll see you soon" to ARMY). One suggestion I can give when listening to Suga's albums (aka Agust D)... listen to the 3 of them in order. He is very much a storyteller, and the "story" of Agust D is really meaningful when you experience it and him from 2015 to 2023.

Jimin composed and wrote this entire album and actually came up with the production bit that you liked on "Alone" with the drop haha! This is his first work and the quality was incredibly for it. You asked about Like Crazy remixes - there's actually 2 of them, no features but i think you would enjoy them. There's also a Like Crazy English version with slightly different lyrics that focuses on his celebrity - public thoughts specifically. There's also a hidden track on the album called Letter available in the CD (you can find it on RUclips) dedicated to the fans which is an extremely pretty song :)

I loved your take on Face. Although Jimin has other solo songs under BTS, this is his first solo album. I loved what you said about Interlude and the part where he’s introducing himself. Each member introduces themselves after the opening set during their concert and that recording is from their last concert. I never thought of it as a way to introduce himself to the listeners of his album, but I think you are right, that is exactly what he planned. I listen to Face top to bottom often and have contributed to those 1billion streams for Like Crazy, but I still enjoy listening to first listen reactions and yours has been one of the best. Jimin's album is so good!! It tells and story really well and HIS VOICE is so pleasing to hear. I miss him so much Btw, there's a hidden track called "Letter" that goes in the physical CD, but you can find his performance on RUclips. His vocals sound extra angelic! Also, a fun fact about this track is that we didn't know about it but suddenly started playing in Like Crazy (Eng version) at minute 6:13 which is also the date of BTS' debut! (June 13).💜

I love how passionate you are about the actual music and storytelling! Jimin described Face as about being facing himself and it's about his journey through the pandemic. Personal struggles, mental struggles and how much he missed being able to be on stage which he's described as his biggest joy in being an artist. Jimin has always been an incredible performer and dancer and storyteller on stage but he's never quite directly opened up about his own personal struggles extensively through music before. So seeing this vulnerability was very touching to fans as well.

I love your breakdown of Jimin’s album. You have pretty much nailed it. It’s a chronological album of how he dealt with depression and drinking during the pandemic and then finally breaking free. If you ever get the chance to see his documentary on the making of his album, it shows him through the writing process.

Jimin is so versatile you never know what you are gonna get but you know it’s going to be so good! omg that happened!!! I've been watching your videos for quite a long time, went through my yungblud, 1d and etc obsession with you, and now our dearest Jimin! I admire him so much 🥺 (just like the rest of bts, but bias is bias for a reason...)
this album punched a hole through my heart when it came out, I still listen to it almost every day, it's rather relatable to me in a certain way.
Jimin explained that this album portraits his journey during covid, how he used to enjoy drinking too much and so on to separate himself from thinking about loosing his purpose - to perform on stage - because of COVID restrictions and battling with other problems. Then he started to understand what that's not really having fun, it's just mindless escapism, but still he didn't want to let go of it just yet - a.k.a. like crazy, our escapism hymn. and then in set me free he finally gets through his problems and gets back on the right track, now stronger than before.
I really recommend to watch the Inkigayo performance of set me free pt2, it's truly an experience. in the previous two shows he was still getting used to being on his own and performing this song, but in Inkigayo all his hard effort paid off extensively. I really couldn't tear my eyes away.
I also think you'd really like his song Lie! It's under the name of bts.
and he also has a behind the scenes video for this album on RUclips, it showed the process of him preparing to perform these songs really well.

Jimin is amazing
Nice!! I’m so glad to see you diving into more bts! Jimin said this EP chronologically shows his life throughout the pandemic. He drifted apart from some close friends (Face-off), was drinking too much for a while, thinking he was fine and having fun and only realising afterwards that he was struggling (Like Crazy), struggled a lot with loneliness and forced isolation during quarantine periods, and finally faced himself and found inner strength to get through everything. There’s also a hidden track which I highly recommend, it’s only on the physical CD and youtube, called “Letter” (or “Dear.ARMY”, there are two titles.) It’s very very beautiful and features Jungkook’s background vocals.
If you’re interested, a fascinating conversation between Jimin and RM was released recently with the two of them talking about “Right Place, Wrong Person”. Jimin also briefly mentions FACE in there, it might be cool for you to get to know them both better :)

I'll remember the day he dropped Set Me Free pt. 2 being in this fandom for 10 years I know the weight of it.. the gravity of the song knocked me off my feet. He has a complex personality and Face represents it perfectly.

I love what you picked up from this, this really was him dealing with how he was feeling during covid and his self-journey, it's truly an exquisite first album. I'm sure others have mentioned that just very recently they released a chat between RM and Jimin where they discuss mostly RMs latest album but also a bit about what Jimin was going through working on his and commonalities. I think you'd really enjoy it.
All the members but Jin have at least one album (either EP or LP). Jin didn't have time to make one before he enlisted, but we are excited that he returns in under 2 weeks, so he will probably have one by late 2024, or early 2025. (He did release an amazing song called The Astronaut as he way to say "I'll see you soon" to ARMY).
One suggestion I can give when listening to Suga's albums (aka Agust D)... listen to the 3 of them in order. He is very much a storyteller, and the "story" of Agust D is really meaningful when you experience it and him from 2015 to 2023.

Jimin composed and wrote this entire album and actually came up with the production bit that you liked on "Alone" with the drop haha! This is his first work and the quality was incredibly for it. You asked about Like Crazy remixes - there's actually 2 of them, no features but i think you would enjoy them. There's also a Like Crazy English version with slightly different lyrics that focuses on his celebrity - public thoughts specifically. There's also a hidden track on the album called Letter available in the CD (you can find it on RUclips) dedicated to the fans which is an extremely pretty song :)
jimin is an amazing artist with a zero skips discography 🩶 besides being a great vocalist, dancer and performer he’s a kind and lovable human as well. recently he donated to students who suffer from poverty. always looking up to him. thank you for allowing yourself to dive into Jimin 💛

I loved your take on Face. Although Jimin has other solo songs under BTS, this is his first solo album. I loved what you said about Interlude and the part where he’s introducing himself. Each member introduces themselves after the opening set during their concert and that recording is from their last concert. I never thought of it as a way to introduce himself to the listeners of his album, but I think you are right, that is exactly what he planned. I listen to Face top to bottom often and have contributed to those 1billion streams for Like Crazy, but I still enjoy listening to first listen reactions and yours has been one of the best. I LOVED ypur reaction! You just get it and im so happy about it. Jimins voice is my favourite tbh and Face is my favourite album released last year for sure (might be even my favourite ever). Its so honest, so beautifully painful and the fact that he sets himself free at the end its just pure catharsis. i knew that id like his solo stuff because of his vocals and because of his ability to make every songs 'his' but Face truly blew me away.

Jin of BTS has alot of great music too, he is currently in the Korean military and only has 12 more days in the military then he will eventually be working on his solo album (FYI, all BTS members are currently serving in the Korean military).....thanks for getting more into BTS and their solo works.
