I was real pleased to hear the incredulous outrage in the L.E.Os voice when he said "Look what you've done to this man's garden!". Ditto.

It amazes me how many people claim they ran because they were scared, as if it’s the officers fault for scaring them. If I haven’t done anything wrong then I have absolutely no reason to be afraid of being pulled over, and if I DID do something wrong I’m definitely not going to make the situation worse by running.

You're getting arrested for driving 110% perfect, new law
Years ago I used to work on the TV show COPS. We were filming something simple one night for the website and they caught someone jaywalking right up to where we were. They were going to let the guy go with a warning but he was being belligerent and long story short, they found drugs on the guy and he had warrants out of multiple states so he was arrested. I remember talking to the cops about this and they told me that they deal with this kind of thing on a regular basis. One cop said something really interesting though. He said, "What most people don't realize is that there is a large portion of our population made up of people who just are not that smart. They think they are, but they really are not." If you look up the Dunning-Kruger effect, that explains it. It explains this woman perfectly.

My husband and I had this exact conversation the other night. We’ve only recently come to the conclusion that people are a lot dumber than we thought. I guess we always think of us as the most advanced, smartest species but I swear my dog (the dumb one) is smarter than many humans I’ve encountered.

I’m not sure that driving a stolen vehicle with a stolen tag is a “simple traffic ticket” buddy.
Sentenced to five years and served just over a year. And we wonder why people continue to be criminals with such inconsequential penalties. A year off with three hots and a cot and the opportunity to make all kinds of new criminal connections in jail - what’s not to love about a brief vacation?
