I first went there a couple of years ago for some classic MX racing, this year it was the provincial championships and ill be honest, i was trying to work out the details of the classification and failed, but it was really interesting seeing the 2 strokes and 4 strokes race against each other. The track is a tight and twisty one, there was only one section where you got an extended flat out run. The kids amazed me, real young uns and juniors. both fly much better than my lardy arse for sure lol. there is no wonder Spain churns out so many top rank racers.
@@barebonesmc Damn! I just posted above and ranted a bit but meant to mention those kids! They were little and on little bikes but, both them and the bikes were really into it, at first I was thinking I must have been looking wrong before because they were going at it so hard I thought it must be adults and couldn't work out why they looked smaller. Damn those kids are serious, and seriously good too!
@@lorditsprobingtime6668 some of the girls racing were embarrassing the lads too lol, they really were great to watch, and certainly got more air time than me, lord knows how young some of them were but they couldnt have been any more than 7 or 8 years old, Future champions in there somewhere im sure
@@barebonesmc Awesome! Back when I only knew 1 girl racing and that was in short circuit, not any motocross. She wasn't particularly good but, at least she got out there and had fun, my brother wound up marrying her lol. Sadly that didn't last but, she was a pretty amazing woman all the same, in every way. Great to know they're more into it nowadays.
Yep, it's in yer blood alright lol. Now THAT'S a motocross track! Stuff these indoor, custom made stadium tracks. Now for the " back in my day" complaint. Back when I'd often wind up flag marshaling for them at the now closed Amaroo Park motocross track, and at Nepean short circuit track (still operating), no bloomin cages to hide in like there, nor wanted one. You don't want to be trapped in a fairly fragile water crate cage, you want to be able to get out of the way of any out of control stray bike, plus, I've even been known to run out into the the middle of the track when gusy somehow screwed up going over a particular jump and were on the ground out of sight of approaching bikes and waving my silly little yellow flag madly up high so they knew to slow down and I'd be right over the down guy so they knew exactly where to avoid, bloody silly safety mad rules sneaking in everywhere these days. Ah. my grandpa Simpson yelling at clouds moment over, ahhhh. Good on you mate, enjoy the real dirt racing there. Thanks for sharing it with us👍.
The cages only went in this year, and yes, i would guess new regs, to be fair though it hasnt stopped the marshalls from running out into the track to help downed riders shift themselves and the bikes, the rear part of the cages are higed so they move pretty quick lol, on a different note, someone on the 18 more terrifying bikes video called me a young lad this morning lol, the daft thing being he was obviously trying to insult me PMSL, it should be in the latest comments if you fancy a giggle lol have a good un mate
@@barebonesmc Hah, that'd be that "necrotic666 " clown I'm guessing. Yep, not too clever, just dropped in purely to troll. I don't know why they don't realise how foolish they make themselves look with silly comments like that, we can get a good laugh at them though eh. As for a door, you got a bike somehow launches your way, I don't want ANYTHING between me and open ground! A barrier to get behind maybe, not a cage type arrangement though. I think they thought that out badly, or maybe they're just trialing it and will set something better up later. I fly RC planes a lot and at the dedicated field we have we've got an airstrip and right beside it a pilots box which is just a heavy built fence that separates you from the strip but wide open behind it as stray models, some weighing up to 15 kilos sometimes do wind up smashed to pieces against it. That works pretty well. It would allow the marshals to run around more easily if needed to help a rider too. I had the most embarrassing whoopsie on exactly the same corner I liked flag marshalling most because it was right in the center of the sorta double snap back bends at the end of the track where I topsided the bike and wound up face down in the dirt, bike upside down across my back and somehow my leg stuck between the front wheel and the frame. It took 2 marshals to come over and untangle my leg and lift the bike off me lol, rather embarrassing moment that was. I actually broke 2 ribs in that and still wanted to go in my next races but the throttle got smashed along with bent handlebars which we straightened but nobody had a spare throttle so that stopped me. Everybody had clutch levers, I'd already found the front tyre vale to leak like crazy after adjusting the pressure so had already bodged that by screwing a metal valve cap down multi grip tight to try and hold enough pressure. Actually, the overpressure front tyre was probably a contributing factor to me losing it. One of the ribs never set and is still just there, not attached to anything. You have a good one too, don't worry too much about content for us if your enjoying yourself. I got into photography way back and thanks to pretty easy going rules back then put myself in some pretty dangerous spots to try getting those never quite perfect pics but, you can't enjoy the live action right in front of you so much with an eyepiece or screen stuck in front of your face.
Looks like a fun circuit! Nice to hear the 2 strokes.
