With the Charlie Brown thing, the creators fought really hard to include Franklin sitting at the table with the rest of the characters, so the compromise was to put him on the other side of the table.
I am 10 minutes in and SARAH I HAVE A MOVIE FOR U TO SEE! It has Jennifer Coolidge and it kind of mirrors what you were just saying like "I'd be so pissed if I paid thousands of dollars to go to Ireland and I was the chambermaid" The movie is called Austenland it's from 2013, and it is BAD but so much fun!! It's very wattpad-fantasy-comedy. Hard to describe it any other way but Jennifer Coolidge CARRIES!!!
great episode! love the convo abt collectivist/individualist culture of emotions, super interesting!!! also, l’oreal is on the boycott list so i urge you to cut off that sponsorship 🇵🇸 thanks yall!!!
yeah that was a little strange hearing "buy on amazon" like sarah hasn't been very vocally pro 🍉... maybe it was kendahl's sponsor tho and she didn't know! no clue edit: spelling
57:56 meanwhile, Charles Schwartz threatened to quit the newspaper he was illustrating for because the newspaper wanted nothing to do with a little black boy named Franklin in the Peanuts cartoons.
You can’t control how u feel but you can control how u react. Ur reactions r ur responsibility but you shouldn’t feel bad about feeling things we are supposed to. Working on pausing before you respond to situations is how u get better just practice it’s very worth it to help w emotional regulation.
i wonder if sarah would like the asymmetric society?? it's a compilation of lectures from the 80s about human individuality & the complications of considering corporations as 'people'. kind of outdated in some regards, but i study anthropology and i found it really interesting!
I know dnd is the big tabletop game, but there are so many other tabletop games from different settings and different levels of complexity as well. Just an example, but monster of the week for example leans heavily into the roleplay aspect and is a bit lighter on rules and stats and stuff.
Kendahl you have to check out momo o'brien, she used to make content about immersive experiences(LARPing, pirate ships, castles, and magic school) she doesnt do it as much anymore because of COVID but it's still awesome
it makes sense that sarah is also the biggest brennan lee mulligan fan, they’re always on the right side of history. BLEEM ON BCC LARP OR DND EPISODE (please)
im sure others have recommended it but i definitely recommend priory of the orange tree kendahl! its a bigger novel and the romance isnt necessarily the centre of it BUT there is a lesbian romance and the lore and story and all the characters in it are just really well done. plus the cover art is beautiful
5:38 OH MY GOD. This literally just happened a few days ago with this song that scratches my brain. I’ve listened to it so much lately and looked up the artist to see if they had released anything else. Turned out the song was a confession of abhorrent behavior with a bunch of articles about the allegations. I just never listened to the lyrics closely - the track is what had me. I feel really gross and naive tbh
Anyone know if Satah shares the books she reads anywhere? They’ve all sounded very interesting, learning about people/humans and how we work. Sometimes it feels a little overwhelming to hear about, but most times I feel like I learn something when I listen to Sarah talk about it!
i also had to stop watching true crime because i have really bad anxiety and it was increasing my anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and agoraphobia. haven’t watched true crime in years but i’m still afraid to exist outside my home and also inside my home
It's wild that they didn't just google the definition of sport. It's not purely about athleticism - that's very clearly not what sport is, it's about skill, athleticism, strategy, and sometimes teamwork. Sport is not this simpleminded definition of "must sweat" where the hell did they get that from?
I love listening to Sarah talk about psychology/ sociology stuff
I like how well Sarah’s book paired with this weeks topic
I really wish Sarah would do like a book club podcast!
the way kendahl mentioned reading sapphic novels and adult camps....i fear you need to read that summer feeling by bridget morrissey asap

Sarah I think if you want to try fiction, you'd really enjoy Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler and a lot of her other work!
Thank you for validating my view of Pearl...omg... I got so mad after watching her video, can't even listen to her. She is disturbing.
Funnily enough, Blue was actually a girl and Magenta was the boy dog.
Maybe you should talk about the tradwife trend! I can’t explain how much it enrages me
HelloFresh could stitch with that lady. It would be free P.R. and good C.S.R. So, so smart.
Blue is “actually” a girl 😂🐾💙
Kendahl watch Miranda it has the tall British sidekick from that spy film. You’ll probably have to use a VPN
What's in the tuppaware container?
Ob - few - scation is proper pronunciation for obfuscation
BABE KENDHALL WTF ARE YOU READING PLS IM BEGGING I NEED TO KNOW
