      He does a good job. I am not sure why we need to keep cutting to a side-on camera angle though. It seems to be the way it is often done though so they must think it adds something.

    Does the doubble one have two separate inflation zones? So one side can be harder then they other half?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  5 лет назад +1

      Unfortunately the double version of this mat doesn't have 'zones', Sebastian, it's all inflated from the one valve. ~ Ben

    How do these compare to the Exped Megamat?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  7 лет назад +2

      We couldn't recommend one over the other maidomilo, both companies product gear a the highest of standards, and the specs are comparable between the two mats. The only point I could come up with is that the Exped Megamat has been tried and tested for many years whereas the Sea To Summit DLX Si mats are relatively new. However, Sea To Summit hold high standards and won't release anything into the market until they are completely confident with the quality. ~ Ben

      Sea to Summit makes great stuff and has a great warranty as well. I have the smaller version of these pads and they are so comfortable.

      I can't get the double I bought to fully inflate. Seems like it just stops inflating after fully rolled out. Still creases everywhere, edges obviously not taught. What am I doing wrong? I've tried with the valves on inflate position and with them fully open :(

      @@timstiles4146 I just bought the double and am having the same issue of not seeming to fully inflate

      @@EagleTastic It's been a while since I pulled mine out of storage but IIRC I think I was doing something wrong with the air intake valves. I may have had their "covers" pushed in backwards at one point when troubleshooting. Take a look at how those are positioned and of course if they are fully sealed or not and maybe you'll figure it out?

    Gday guys...it's Chopper here to give you a review of the Sea to Summit Comfort DLX SI Sleeping Mat

    I'm on my 2nd one due to a micro leak problem that started happening after about ten days of nightly use and slowly gets worse and worse. (filed a claim and they sent another) new one does the same thing. heres a link to a video of another guy who captured the problem. vimeo.com/337544305
    customer service is really good though and this is an isolated problem, looks like they've fixed it now and i hope that's the case because this pad is as good as any bed i've slept on. hopefully 3rd time is a charm. it sucks i've had to do this twice now. but this company does stand behind their gear and they make some great stuff. this is only for information and is no way bashing this company or this product. it was a complex problem with a specific micro layer that happened on the production side of things and they worked very hard to fix it as soon as they found out there was a problem. cheers.
    if you have a problem fill out a warranty claim on their site(it's not hard) they will call you. or you can call them. I'm sure most of their products are sound and I just happened to be one of the people who got a pad from the defective batch.

      Thanks for your feedback, Ethan. When it comes to quality control, customer focus and innovation Sea To Summit are a stand out brand.
      We have a lot of confidence selling their products in the know that they carry out loads of testing, don't release a product until it is perfect in their eyes, and in the instance of something going wrong are proactive in making sure the end customer is looked after and further problems are mitigated.
      I personally have no hesitation recommending anything with their label on it, we appreciate you sharing your experience.

    The valve is crap. Won't hold the air in.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 года назад

      We've not had any other reports of issues with these valves, Warren, they are the same valve used on all the Sea To Summit mats and pillows. I'd suggest taking back to the place of purchase if you think there is a warranty issue with your mat.
