A monastery at the back of the winery and that setting - I can live at such a setting forever. I tried spanish wines during our honeymoon in Ibiza.
A comment we oft repeat while we visit many of these countries: We're so deprived!
The Costa Brava really excels at amazing food and wine
Oh yes Jaillan! We told people who lived there how much better their food was than ours and some couldn't believe it. They are truly charmed to live there.
What fun... the wine, and the landscape! Love wine tasting and this is the perfect setting.
It was a great time to go. It was cool but sunny and not crowded - just a great way to relax.
Visiting a vineyard and learning about wine is still on my to-do list. as I grow older I appreciate wine more and more :)
...And it was such a joy to shoot those beautiful mountains. We've drunk a lot of amazing wines in countries like France and the US but still didn't know a lot about Spain. As you could see, we absolutely loved it there!
We will have to add Costa Brava to our never ending list!
When it comes to wine, the list never ends. We think our next major wine experience will be south of the equator. We'll let you know how that goes.
As a good Chilean I really love wine! Visiting a winery and wine tasting sounds so good to me!
Looks like a great way to spend an afternoon. Cheers!
Absolutely. We've been to many vineyards in France, California, Oregon and New York. We would have to rate this vineyard as the most beautiful (With some of the vineyards in the Willamette Valley in Oregon ranking a close second.)
Wow, what an incredibly picturesque place to enjoy a wine tasting! Love the dog that made the cameo :-)
There are so many wine tastings that feel corporate. This was truly a family run vineyard featuring the family dog!
This video was just so calming! I felt like I was on vacation watching you both enjoying all of the delicious looking Catalan wines. The Costa Brava region is stunning! Now for some rosé :)
It was definitely one of those great moments of beauty that only occurs once in a lifetime. Cheers on the rosé! Enjoy!
It looks so beautiful there.
I hope we captured the beauty of those mountains. It's so hard to convey that kind of breathtaking environment on the small screen. We're glad you were able to at least see a part of it.
Im a fan of wines and this one is very fascinating. thank you for sharing! Cheers!
There are some great wines being produced in Israel. Are you going to travel to some vineyards while you're there?
I really wish I liked wine as much as I like beer. I love the history and location. Beautiful...
Really? Chris - You need to DRINK MORE WINE!
YUM! Nice that you were able to sit down with the wine maker to learn about the wines in great detail. We did some wine tasting in Costa Brava at Masia Serra Winery and it was outstanding!!
Sounds great! Where was the winery in Costa Brava?
Masia Serra Winery in Cantallops
what a fun experience. I tried Spanish wines few times, I might do it more often after this video
After our experience we're going to drink Spanish wines a few more times... and a few more times after that!
great
It looked like you guys were having so much fun here, just chilling and drinking wine! :)
We have fun everywhere we go. The amazing wines of Catalunya made the experience extra special!
Only a sip! :)
One sip? No way!
We are a big fan of Spanish wines, the view behind looks wonderful. How was the area 'out of season', we are thinking of going as the flights are really cheap at the moment.
Well, it was cool but still pleasant when we were there (from late November to early December.) Skies were blue and clear which made for some good photos. We're in Naples now and the weather in the Mediterranean has turned decidedly colder (there were snow flurries this morning.) I would go. The food's great. The wine's cheap and there are less tourists this time of year (always a plus.) We had a car which made the experience extra special (Daryl learned to drive stick. Fun!!)
I noticed I said Spanish wines and not Catalan wines, from our trip to Barcelona I know the Catalans are very proud. Anyway we will see if we can get there before Easter and the start of the summer season.
They are. That's especially true in the Costa Brava area. We noticed that Spanish culture was more prevalent in Barcelona than in the North. In Costa Brava, Catalan is truly the dominant culture.
Not nice to have me watch wine videos I'm in Thailand aka land of expensive crappy wine....
That's why it's mandatory to visit wine countries twice a year. (You can only drink so much Leo and we've definitely maxed out our Schengen days this year.) I bet you would have loved to flown the DJI over the mountains and beaches too!
