I now know how to make good use of my crab apples. 🤗 They have been growing in my back yard. I didn't realize it. I thank you and God🙏 for this great blessing. I can't wait to make this crab apple jelly, and I want to add cinnamon.😋
It is delicious! And beautiful. I took a pic of some jars I canned a few years back, I printed a copy and framed it, I have it hanging on the dining area. I should have shared that. Thank you!
Thank you very much for this - I've finished all the concord grapes for the season and we have a few crab apples to do now. I'll just be making a couple of jars of crab apple jam, but that should be plenty for us. All the best to you.
@shezcal 0 seconds ago Just gifted a bag of these beauties. If I recall the core & seeds are unsafe to eat as they produce Cyanide, so definitely need to be removed before cooking. Thanks for sharing the video.
Apples of all kinds contain cyanide in their seeds, you are right. The cores are just tough and not a desirable texture to most. This jam and jelly is so good, it is my favorite! Thank you for watching and commenting!
That is a great question! It was bottled lemon juice, I use this to insure that the lemon juice has the same level of acidity. It seems lemons and tomatoes are now inconsistent with the levels of acidity. I guess mutations and variations. Lol. I appreciate you!
SADLY NO. THERE IS NO WAY I COULD MEET THAT DEMAND. WE ARE ACTUALLY PICKING AND SPLITTING CRABAPPLES WITH TWO OTHER FAMILIES. THESE TREES ARE NOT OUR OWN.
These crabapples are absolutely delicious and worth the effort every year! They make wonderful gifts as well as enjoying them ourselves.

It is so delicious! Cinnamon sounds good! Enjoy!
Well, that wasn't too bad. I bet it's going to be delicious and beautiful to look at once it's canned 😊❤️ I would love to try it!!

Thank you so much. Our favorite way to eat it is on biscuits and as a topping on cheesecake! So good. Enjoy yours!

Can use a metall straw to remove the core fast and easy
That's a good idea!
Did you use lemon juice from a jar or from a lemon?

Man, my crab apples don't get nearly this big
We foraged these from a place that we have permission to pick. I don't know what variety they are! Any variety of crabapples make delicious jam!
@@muchadoaboutsomething good to know
Do you ever sell your Crabapple jam?

Don't know how caps lock is on, lol.
I thought you probably didn't realize your cap lock was on.
You are right.
