  • Poor conditions on the 40 metre band! QSO with Geri DL8MEL in Munich. A contact that would be pretty much impossible on SSB? Long live CW for poor conditions!
Rig Kenwood TS590SG with Dipole as inverted vee. Paddle Begali Simplex and Hamgadgets Pico keyer.

Always a pleasure to hear a skilled CW op. The old code is both a barrier and a strong bond in these days of super easy license exams.

VY FB speed ES fist OM! I have the TS590S. Looks like you may be running the SG here. Love the fact that you don’t actually have a mic connected!

This Kenwood is just awesome. I am new into CW(15wpm), but not a few times I've managed CW QSOs with the S-meter showing NO bars at all and with narrow filter/NR2 activated, yet I could still hear the other side Morsing me. Though, what report does someone gives on such scenario? 509?!!

If you are at 15, you're doing very well. Always practice a bit faster than you can copy. You will be surprised and pleased at the skill level you will attain.
