  • Just a quick update on how it's going. This week I talk about the nutritional/dietary challenges I face as a person with dietary histamine/salicylate intolerance, dysphagia and esophageal dysmotility.

I'm pleased to report that after a VERY strict elimination diet for the past 6 to 8 weeks to give my gastrointestinal tract some rest I am slowly able to reintroduce one food at a time. Thus far I've had good results with spinach, avocado, beetroot and peanut butter (all in small doses and not in the same meal!)
Citrus fruits and strong/aged cheese are unfortunately still a big no-no as they continue to make me very sick very quickly.
I am also upping my protein intake with protein bars, protein yoghurt, protein fortified milk etc. to help build lean muscle and give me more energy.
